Fingers popped through, lifting, bending, ripping the metal clean from its hinges. Shredded car parts and paint fell from the hood as it was idely tossed to the side, a greasy shirt and filthy hands replacing it. The boy was grimy but energized, pulling apart a car piece by piece and placing the hardly used power amplifiers off to the side. He reached behind him, pulling a gray turned black rag from his back pocket and wiping off the top layer of dirt from his hands. David was never one to complain about work in any form, but he hated doing things for free and knowing that he had to in order to pay off a debt just killed him inside.
Now, some may be wondering why a billion dollar baby would need to work off any sort of debt, and to that the answer is simple.
The bank was closed due to a robbery, and his card found its way into a paper shredder.
The stories behind these instances are unimportant and for another time- what he cared about in that moment was the fact that his day seemed to only get worse- it was time for him to sign off, and as if on cue, he was surrounded by three males, boys who had broad grins on theyre faces. He turned slowly in a circle, eyeing each of them and knowing exactly what was going to happen. He had seen it before, all over campus. He never stopped it because he knew it was all in good fun and they were all friends- but it never occured to him that his minimal circle of companions would designate him as thier target. He held out his hands as if to give them pause.
"Whoa fellas- what do you need?"
He said it only to stall.
"You know whats going on David- come peacefully, it will be much easier on us and you."
David cocked an eyebrow.
"There is no way im doing this."
"David, your getting married."
"No, im not."
"Yes, you are."
"No, im really, really not."
"Oh, We'll just see, wont we?"
David stopped, having begun to walk backwards as the boys closed in. They stopped as well, eyes glinting.
Davids gaze slid left, and he saw it- a possible escape.
He threw the rag in the far left kids face and ran for the school door, just behind the boy. He was faster then any of them, and made it there in short order, grinning as he looked behind him at them, they who tried to catch up with him. He burst through the door-
And straight into a pillar of muscle.
David stopped, looking up at Brock, a Linebacker for the school football team, and another of his strange band of friends. The large male held up a finger and waggled it slowly.
David pupils dialated as fright took him.
"Ah shit-"
Suddenly, the boys plowed into him from behind, taking him into the dirt. He struggled for a moment, but odds were against him, and he wouldnt hurt his friends for doing to him what he had refused to stop others from doing.
"No, no, i have a girlfriend, you don't understand-!"
"Shut it Dave, or we'll gag you." Alex pointed a finger at David as the other boys, jonathan and Micheal, held his arms. "And you know we will too!" David stared, mouth agape.
Nobody told him to shut it!
They began to lead him away.
'Not good. This is definitely not good at all.'
