((OOC: Takes place after 'Why so serious!?' thread, since it seems to be inactive.))
It was time to get rid of his bounty. Ethan had been holding on to the bank money for a little while now, but it would be dangerous to be keeping it any longer than he already was, as the police were still conducting local searches in the neighborhood, and the incident had been on the news. It would be good to put a distance between himself and the cash.
He met with his contact at J.J.'s, a local strip-club in town that was something of a hive of scum and villainy. There was a lot of hidden, illegal activity going on in this place, and the police did occasionally send people to sniff around for whatever went on down here on occasion, when they hadn't either been bribed or beaten to death in a back alley; but the place was practically too obvious to look at for things that were particularly out of the ordinary.
Thus, whenever the cops tried to bust a particular felon by conducting a raid on J.J.'s, they usually found that the suspect in particular hadn't nearly been stupid enough to go to a place as obvious as J.J.'s. The same thing had happened numerous times in the past. so in an indirect way, J.J.'s was the safest place to go for illegitimate business, despite its...colorful reputation.
"I'm telling you, the government will be watching for any large transfers of money into bank-accounts, in this country or in Switzerland. They aren't happy about how many millions were taken right out from under their noses, in a very secure bank in a major metropolitan city in one of the largest states in the country," Ethan explained calmly, but also coldly. He was tired of explaining his logic to this imbecile. He was the one who had gotten the money out of there, despite the heavy risks involved, and he didn't appreciate Claude arguing with him after he'd done all the work.
"You do realize that you have placed your own mission under jeapordy, the one He tasked you with, because of your reckless--," Claude protested.
"Claude, arguing with me is getting us nowhere. Unless you believe you could acquire more funds than I have for our cause, you have no place to patronize me."
Just then, a commotion seemingly broke out at the front of the club. Several uniformed police officers forced their way into the front entrance, waving badges everywhere, unholstering side-arms, searching people, even some patrons were being handcuffed. A few of the cops even appeared to be in SWAT gear. Soon, all the entrances would be blocked off. Ethan had no intention to be met with the attentions of the authorities, especially with the briefcase under his table stuffed with dollar bills, about twenty million in total.
"Claude, follow me," Ethan whispered, picking up the briefcase and slipping through the crowds of people who were confused, unaware of what was happening. He would make his way through the kitchen and to the rear entrance he had entered the club through, as it was the one place the police likely wouldn't have blocked off yet.
Meanwhile, an individual seemed to be resisting the efforts of the police conducting a body-search, and a brawl broke out. That seemed to be a pretty good distraction for Ethan.
