The body seemed lifeless.
He crouched, reaching over to pull a jagged edge of desk from the cheek of an individual student. He tossed it off to the side, the piece of polished wood thunking a few feet before coming to rest under the empty desk that the current school Spanish teacher normally sat behind. She was, of course, no where near her classroom at this point in time, leaving the four children who entered and brutalized this unconscious freshman the ability to do so without worry. As if they even had cause for caution- the spineless teacher would have no say in what they did. In fact, she had probably left when they came, so she could avoid the tantrum they were oh so obviously going to throw. David came to his feet, his fingers covered in blood after checking the weak pulse of the bloody cesspool near his feet.
He looked down at the boy, then at his hand, his fingers closing into a tight, angry fist as he noticed that, not only was he beaten to within an inch of his life, but he was obviously forced down on a male. Or several males. Judging by the stains, he assumed the latter. 'Who could have the stomach to do this? WHY would you do this?'
His eyes jerked to the boys, and his boiling rage bubbled over.
He ran toward the four, who had been giving each other secret, smug looks, the gross satisfaction dragging their eyes to watch the concerned Senior. It disgusted him. He grabbed the boy he reached first by the back of the hair with his left hand, planting a hard foot to the inner knee from behind, causing them to collapse. As the kid fell forward with a startled cry, David yanked downward with his hold on the hair, causing the fiend to land flat on his back. He torqued his body to the left, whipping his right arm around and grabbing the boy by the front of his face, releasing his hold with his left hand as his feet shifted, allowing him to crush the boys head clean into the tile and concrete, small bits and chips covered in blood flying upward upon impact.
He stood as quickly as his action took place, whipping his body back and grabbing another kid by the head with his left hand, shoving it through a file cabinet door, wrenching metal and sickening, juice-filled noises accompanied the blind screaming. He head butted the next fellow who grabbed him to try and stop him from destroying his friends body. David kneed him in the gut, causing him to bend over. Then, methodically, he grabbed his head and shoved it clean into the next file down, the same noise and screams following milliseconds after the jarring secession of metal and flesh.
The final boy attempted to run. David jumped on a desk, leaping over a few frightened, horrified, hiding students to land on the escape artist wannabe. He grabbed the kid by the shirt and dragged him over to the desk of the absent teacher. He pushed the scared, weeping child's head to the top of the desk, grabbed the stapler, and began to staple his ear to the wood of the work area of their absent Spanish linguist. Then he took the boys left hand, placed it against the leg of the desk, and held it there while reaching over to pick up the leg of a broken students desk that was decimated earlier. He bent it around the wrist and leg, clasping the child there so he could go no where. Then David stood, admiring his work with breathless fury.
'Justice.'

Terrible.
Of all the things to walk in on, young Trizen Takano was certainly disgusted and overwhelmed by the vivid memory of minutes past. A little while earlier, the boy had come to ask his Spanish teacher a question on relating to a conversation they had earlier on Spanish guitar. Much to his dismay, the boy caught wind of the sound of screaming students and a visual representation of fear via David Blaze. Now the young one of fifteen stood as David stapled his last staple into the last boy's ear. This made Trizen slightly queasy.
"This... this wasn't necessary..." Trizen said on slowly taking a few steps into the room. Of course he was talking to the Senior. "You didn't have to hurt them like this... what did these students do?"
Regardless of the answer, Trizen knew David would have found way to justify his attack -- or as American would put it, retaliation. One of those words he picked up on watching Fox News about the war in Iraq.

Ethan had watched it all play out half-heartedly while he went over some notecards of Spanish words idly, passing the time. It seemed that a scuffle broke out over nothing. Four little criminals versus one pathetic weakling. It hadn't taken long or much intuition to see which side would win, but the four seemed to go at their petty game a bit excessively. They pounded and stomped at their "opponent" until he was but a bag of blood and bruises on the floor. They went off to go chuckle at how big they must've felt. Ethan kept reading, nonplussed.
Then David Blaze came along and made a great spectacle of himself. Ethan had to hand it to David. Even though Ethan found his motivations and moral constructs contemptable, he found David's own excessive use of force on them rather comedic. It was almost like he regarded them as a threat... or somehow, he felt as though his own brutality was more justified. The best part was when he started stapling the last one's ear to the desk. The teacher probably wouldn't be able to distinguish who were the aggressors and who the victim was. And of course it didn't help that she was really a senile old fool herself.
"This... this wasn't necessary..." Ethan glanced up briefly from his work. Just another nobody. "You didn't have to hurt them like this... what did these students do?"
Almost to himself, Ethan said quietly, "That's just him...he thinks he is the Law and Standard by which to be measured around here. So he does what he pleases."

Davids breath began to slow as the young Trizen walked into the room. He stared at him for a moment, irritated that he was questioned. Not that it was surprising- he would have questioned it too. But he thought it would have been obvious. David used excessive force for one reason- to prove a point. He glared over at another boy, one whom he had met before and whom he disliked entirely. He Looked at him for but a moment, then spoke one sentence only.
"You, boy, don't know the first thing about me, so shut it before i shut it for you."
Then he turned to Trizen.
"As for why i did it- to send a message." He bent down, pulling a few more chunks from the face of the student he had avenged. "After the incident with Gabriel i've learned something. Students won't act or obey a certain law unless they are shown why they should. They will brutalize and destroy as much as possible knowing thier only consequence will be a verbal slap on the wrist." He stood, turning so his side face the two who had spoken on it. "I do not consider myself a law and standard, but i consider the actions of those for deserving of one that should be laid out." He paused, staring at Takano for just a while longer.
He taught this boy so much about doing the right thing, about making sure that everyone had a hero to turn to, yet he himself was unwilling to play the part. He felt a hypocrite, and would stand as one no longer.
"From now on, anyone i see who is deliberatly causing pain for the benefit of thier own enjoyment will find me to hand them thier justice. I'll be stalking the grounds from now on, looking for those individuals who feel the need to cause violence purely for merriment and laughter, and i will destroy them."
He clenched his fists.
"I Won't watch and talk any longer. From now on, i will act."

The audible sound of clapping sound came from a near hallway. He hadn't forgotten what he had done in fact he was assured now what he'd done was the right action nd surly even now the ripples were falling into place. As planned. A line was all the features he shared as a smile. There was something elsein his mind as he faced the brutality. Something that meant more, Peace was the end goal and surely they'd all missed it. But now he'd open their eyes.
"But is that what your willing to do David? Abandon your morals and self conflictions to become the face of evil to become something you've fought against for all your life?"
He walked out into view now revealing himself to the three others. David Blaze, certainly the most adept of his rivalries in years past though all the same and old foe he'd sought for his end goal the man had potential for great deeds and fought with great prowess, unchallenged. Trizen Takano, a young boy, he knew well from past events, Gabriel had given the boy all his trust and in the future would seek from it again. With Trizen their goals could be realized. And Ethan, a mstery by most standards but nonetheless driven by some unforseen force compelling him into the future.
"If you are to act you must have a goal in mind, you must know what you are willing to lose in the end." Gabriel strod to face each of them for a short moment, each an individual each with nunrivaled potential far superior to his own. They would be the ones to decide a future.
"I entrust you to make the right choices... I've made mine, now what will you do with this new world?"

"I am nothing like you Gabriel." He faced Seran, who finally decided to reveal himself.
"Unlike you, i wont hurt the innocent, nor to i wish to rule the body. I just want people to stop the violence. I'll fight those who cause pain for thier own twisted pleasure. I'll maim those who wish to own and corrupt through fear and numbers. And i'll destroy people who think that pain and blood and war are the only paths to live by." He cracked his neck. "In order to do that, i'll have to do what i hate to see others do, but it will clean this place up, and it will do it quickly." He grinned. "If your here to try and make ME appear the badguy, then your only proving you yet another person i have to clear out, because manipulating everyone to serve you through trickery and anger is just what i seek to be rid of."
He turned to Trizen.
"I'll leave the mantle of Diplomacy to my pal here, my...pupil, if you will. I know he will do what is needed to keep what peace he can by words." He would, unless spoken to further, walk over and pick up the body of the downed student.
"Now i'm going to take the student i saved to the hospital, before his life slips through his fingers like so many others have."

Ethan studied David intently. It pained him to be enemies with someone like him. David had such potential to serve The True Lord with his ability. But he was a fool. He was merely wasting his time. Was he truly so ignorant?
Ethan spoke up again. He didn't care if David lost it and attacked him. As much as it hurt, Ethan needed the experience of fighting those stronger than him so he could gain in power himself, use his betters and then kill them later when he could. Did he really think Ethan would always be this weak? He grew with each obstacle he faced down. There were no such absolutes when it came to achieving power.
He wanted to know his enemy.
Ethan remained seated, but he addressed David directly, challenging him.
"Why, David...why waste the effort? They won't change. That's why they are here. That's all this broken school is. A prison. You can't change how people act. Human beings are defined by violence, it's who they are. You won't be rewarded for your efforts. Eventually, they'll come together to overthrow you. You could live a thousand lifetimes and there would still be someone suffering who you couldn't save."
Ethan eyed the unconcious, comatose victim on the floor. "You want to help him? I won't stop you. But even if he lives, there will be someone other than these four who will be there to do the same. If he can't look after himself, he won't last long in this place."

"I won't watch and talk any longer. From now on, I will act."
The boy felt his stomach turn when David said what he did. This wasn't right. It certainly was not the way he saw things turning out. After that fight with Gabriel, it seemed everyone had changed a bit. And with that same bit, people would take a different approach in how they would cope with this system. David Blaze clearly chose his path.
Speaking of choosing paths. It seemed the unmoving force in David was bound to run into the forward motion of Gabriel. Takano knew the voice well and did not flinch when Mister Seran decided to show himself. Of course this was the place where question and answer would happen. The pair of them needed to re-evaluate each other. The boy didn't know if they had met after the Black Knights bout, but it was clear that they both had something brewing in their minds. Especially after sizing each other up the way they did.
"You're both nuts," Trizen said to the pair of them. Ethan seemed to be minding his own business for the while, though he looked familiar... he knew he had seen him before. "Do you know what the definition of a vigilante is? A member of a self-appointed group of citizens who undertake law enforcement in their community without legal authority, typically because the legal agencies are thought to be inadequate."
That's right. He knew the definition. God bless photographic memories.
"There a very fine line separating both of you. A very thin one. Why dance that line? Why not just work within the system? We know it's broken, but we'll fix it. We have to try... who appointed either of you to take matters into your own hands?" Trizen still believed that the Pillar System could be fixed. Managed. He was optimistic that there would be people willing to help change a good idea instead of scrapping it altogether. It was in place. It could be reworked. Altered. Edited. Revamped.
But those words, as much he hoped, probably wouldn't hit either of them. But at least it was the first strike. He wanted to make his position clear, as much as David already knew how Trizen would feel. Though for now, David was right. He needed to get the injured boy to see Layla... or the substitute. She had been missing a lot lately. Though in any case, Trizen stepped aside from blocking the room's exit.

Gabriel turned with an optimistic mind towards Trizen, he knew the boy had the best sense to oppose them especially after what each side had done. They were wrong though from that birthed a new change something Gabriel had seen far in the past but never dreamed it posible. Like minds all in one place they were, the potential to make change the potential to make peace.
"David, you don't understand... now is not the time to act recklessly, I see what you've ment now though if we act hastily as such we will only become the very thing we've sought to create monsters nothing more."
He paced focusing forward on Trizen, "And you Trizen, you've been steadfast all along I see it but whether you like it or not there will be a time where you need to choose... I want you to see this." He turned to the street where the kids had been brutalized, "It's a cruel world and violence doesn't cut it... but to some point there needs to be violence, it is indeed human nature..." He nodded to Ethan quickly, "What makes us human is going that far and stopping for a purpose, we need and end goal in mind."
"I'm sorry I must ask this of you, but can you give me the chance to change?" Gabriel asked in a calm unyeilding voice, neither a question nor begging.

David didnt pick up the body, instead he spoke to Ethan.
"You misunderstand. I wont try to make anyone change. I'll simply get rid of those who refuse to act how they are asked to on School Campus. Take you, for instance- you fight anyone who you believe you can beat, but when face with a force whose cause is to do good and whose abilities far outweigh your own, you realize that continuing down that path while that presence is threatening it would only cause you pain, so instead you walk away." He smirked. "That happened twice with me and you- you intended to hurt people, but because i was a threat, you decided to walk away. THATS the message i intend to send. You wanna fight, go ahead, but don't do it where i will find you, otherwise i'll beat you worse then you intended to beat that person."
He turned to Gabriel.
"And i won't be a monster- i'll simply do what everyone else, including myself, has failed to do till now. I'll go and obliterate all who do evil within these school grounds. I'll do it until people are afraid to hurt others, until they realize just what ethan did when he saw what would happen if he fought around me- that if you do it, i'll step in, and end your consciousness."
He bent down and picked up the body.
"And i'll do so without favortism- i'll do it according to the law."
With that, he carried the body from the room, ignoring anyone else who spoke to him.

Ethan merely laughed at this. Such simplistic logic. It was almost like he was a child.
"You still don't get it. Fine. If you manage to stop someone, anyone in this entire campus from being hurt or fighting for longer than even twenty minutes here, I'll be quite impressed. The Pillars seem unable to do it, and their approach seems quite similar to yours: rule by force. So I'm just curious how you intend to surpass them. And yes, I don't leap into situations I don't have control of...but that doesn't mean I won't try to tilt the odds in my favor. You'd best keep that in mind."
Ethan got up out of his seat, gathered up his things and walked out towards the door, looking over the body. "Have fun with that."

From the closet, yes... the closet, Linda emerged after David had left with the injured boy. Things were getting interesting around 42... David was getting reckless and sloppy.
"Justice indeed." She giggled. If only David had known that it was she who had obliterated that student... That would have been fun. Alas, she decided to remain hidden until his departure.
The Bone Dragon walked over to David's victim.
"Wrong place, wrong time huh?" She giggled once more as she girlishly recapped in her head what had just happened while clapping. There were other people in the room, yet Linda paid them no attention. They were unimportant in the grand scheme of things, and one of them had cried wolf so many times who would believe him now?
