OH NOES!!! TRAFFIC!!! THE TEACHER'S RUNNING LATE O=Rumors have spread throughout the school about what the new teacher is going to be like. Most are pretty accurate. Mini Bio: [/u] Name: Professor Luna Burr Subject: Psychology, and a variety of other subjects, so he might just be back in the future <3 Age: 50 Gender: Male Height: 5’11” Weight: 250 lbs Eye Color: Brown Hair: Gray and fuzzy <3 Sexuality: Heterosexual Pastime InformationHobbies/Talents/Skills: Public speaking, presentations, psychology. Hes a big cuddly teddy bear <3 Love him Mental InformationPersonality: Dr. Burr is actually a very nice man despite his rough and scary exterior. He’s a big ruff tuff cream puff. There’s really not a cruel bone in his body. He can be mean though. He doesn’t like confrontation, and if confronted, he will use his words to fight back, making you feel small and pitiful, and then he’ll kick you out of the class. Simple as that. This is a place of learning, and he won’t let you ruin it for everyone else. He has an extreme love for the science of psychology, and wishes only to pass on his knowledge to the younger generation. Likes: Psychology, the human mind, philosophy, (purportedly) the sound of his own voice. Dislikes: Students who refuse to listen, trouble-makers in general, spicy food. Mentality/Ideal/Belief: Logic prevails over all. Physical InformationBuild: A very large burly man… Very hairy… But he’s kinda like Santa Clause. He’s scary looking at first glance, but he’s kinda like Santa Clause. Fighting InformationFighting Style: Sword of Mouth Years Practiced: Most his adult life Description of style: He uses his words to fight <3 And boy, does his words cut deep. As a psychologist, he knows exactly what to say and do to get right under your skin. Simply by analysing your reactions, he can deduce what little things tick you off. Then, once you’re angry, and yelling back? HE SENDS YOU THE HELL HOME ‘cuz he don’t allow that in his class D< Overall Strengths: He’s so smart <3 Overall Weaknesses: Kids try to fight him a lot… He doesn’t like that… And he gets in trouble because he made a student feel bad… Poor guy… History InformationHistory: He received a doctorate of psychology and a famous and prestigious university. There’s really nothing important in his history that, you, the students, need to know. He had a normal life, grew up in a normal home, and loves normal things… Even though he might not look normal. Living Status Information[/u] Type of residence: Under Jess‘ bed in a Trench. Roommates: Dustbunnies[/quote] As the professor cursed and swore the cars in front of him up and down, he hoped his students would let themselves into the class, and get ready. At this rate, he would arrive just as the bell rang to start the class. He had set up the class the evening before, the projector and the screen already set up for when he was ready. Stuck to the door was a sheet for attendance. 1. Ryuu Hikari 2. Sacricia Emily Lourdes E. Delos Santos 3. Matrim Gallagher 4. Adrian Hanlon 5. Nicolas Constantine 6. Sylar Silverberg 7. Zachary Chan He had asked for the student files the night before and after looking them over, had already psychoanalysed them. This was going to be interesting. They had better be prepared for what he planned. It was going to be extremely interactive with a quiz every 5 minutes!!! <3333 =_= and you will love it. - Students are to post first, enter, take your seat. Very simple. Nothing long kplzthnkz <3 Talk amongst yourselves until traffic clears up!
- Once every student posts, I will post his entry. If, by Sunday students are still missing, I will post, they will be late, and docked EXP.
- EXP is given out based on participation, and quiz marks.
- I will post every three posts.
GOOD LUCK!

Psychology class was the class she had right after lunch, which would be a good thing for Emily. She had a soft mechanical diet as of now, considering that her body needed to heal from that... injury she had gotten from that event with Mr. Purple. The stitches she got were pretty much clean and quick to heal; that was just how good Layla was.
Emily finished her meal, threw her cup onto the trash bin and entered the room assigned to the class. Looking around, she seemed to be the first one in -- unlike her previous classes. If anything, she was glad the class was not the first one of the day. Sighing, she took a seat by the middle row, somewhere up front.
Psychology was an interesting science. If she rememebered right, Layla had taught that before in spite of the fact that it wasn't exactly her forte.
Better not think of that now.

Zack stumbled in to the class. Afternoon? Too early. He glanced around and saw that a white haired girl was the only other living being macroscopic enough for him to notice. Well at least he knew somebody, that wasn't very important though, class was class, a time to learn.
"Hey Emily..."
He smiled as he sat down next to her. His head slowly slid down and his ear pressed on the desk, cap on, headphones hung around his neck.
"It's been a while, how have you been?"
He yawned into his elbow, looking at her with his head on the desk.

Why was Ryuu taking Psychology class again? Oh, that's right, because he signed up for it, that's why. It was after lunch, so he was pretty much awake by this time. He walked out of the cafeteria after he had finished his lunch, downing a bottle of water. Reaching the classroom, he capped his bottle and walked in, and saw he was the third person to arrive. He didn't recognize the guy sitting beside Emily, who was sitting in the middle row, somewhere close to the front. He walked in and took a seat beside her, on her right, and pulled his binder and pencil bag out before placing his shoulder bag down beside his foot, using his left hand for everything, seeing as his right arm was in a sling. Unfortunately, Ryuu forgot he was right-handed, until now that is. ... Damn. I can't write with my hand like this. And this class will probably need a lot of note-taking...
Ryuu sighed, maybe he could ask Emily for help. "Hey," He said, as he turned sideways in his chair, resting his chin in the palm of his hand, his elbow resting on the top of his chair, "How're you doing? You look much better, your wounds healing?" Why was his arm in a a sling you ask? Well after having his elbow dislocated by Damien, the doctor did surgery on it, and placed Ryuu's arm in a sling, so that it would heal faster. He leaned back in his chair and let out a sigh, his long legs touching the metal legs of Emily's desk. Ryuu closed his eyes briefly, before opening them, his gray eyes staring up at the ceiling as he waited for class to start.

Sylar looked at his schedule again. Psychology… Great. Sylar never did understand the human mind and didn’t care for it too much. It was just one of those classes that he thought might be fun. It was the human brain. Sylar finished his lunch and threw away his trash. It seemed to be a while until he found the classroom.
When he walked in he noticed that he wasn’t first. He was the fourth one in the room. He noticed that the three other students were talking so they must have know each other. Sylar slowly walked to the back corner of the class. Waiting for the teacher to arrive who seemed to be missing.

Adrian sauntered into class, his messenger bag over his shoulder, looking around at the people there. The teacher didn't seem to be in class just yet, which brought an arched eyebrow to the teenager's face. He knew the rule: If a teacher wasn't present by ten minutes into class, the class was hereby cancelled. He grinned, hoping a bit that it would happen.
Not that he didn't like psychology. Adrian, being a bit of a mini-politician in his own mind, was greatly interested in the processes of the human mind. He only hoped that the lessons being taught today would be more about the mental processes than the science behind them. One he could deal with, the other was far from his strong suit.
His eyes scanned about the class, seeing that it was populated, apparently, by the same few people who seemed to be in every single class he was in. He wondered when/if Matrim was going to show up with a smirk as he took a seat next to Ryuu, looking over to the Japanese student with a nod of greeting. "Ryuu," he said, giving him a greeting appropriate, at least in Adrian's mind, of someone he didn't particularly share anything beyond and acquaintanceship with. Adrian then opened his messenger bag and produced a mechanical pencil and a notebook. Something told him this was going to be a class he needed to take notes in.

Matrim got dressed that morning as he did every day, a pair of jeans, and a white button up shirt. His outfit was very basic, very easy to get done. But as he was walking out of the house that morning he turned back just as he reached out for the door.
Eh... why not?
Matrim grabbed a pair of flip flops. After all, it was something right? A lot better than not wearing anything at all. And he might want to set an example of having shoes to wear at school. He got to the class that morning, finding that he was one of the last people to get to the room he quickly put his bag on a desk closer to Adrian, "Adrian," He said and nodded. He looked to see who else was in the class, recognizing only Ryuu and Emily. He nodded towards both of them and took a seat, opening his bag he took out a pen and a binder. He set his bag down on the ground to his left, resting it against his chair leg. He opened his binder, flipping through it to some clean paper he had yet used for notes, and clicked his pen.
Well, time for class.... wonder what this teacher is going to be like....

Nick ran through the halls, hoping he wouldn't be late for his next class. He had overslept from his nap and when he awoke, he had about three minutes to get to the classroom, which happened to be on the other side of the school.
He looked at his schedule to see what his class was right now while he ran. Psychology!? Why in the world was he taking his class? Whatever, could be fun, plus he might know a few people.
Nick arrived at the door with a minute to spare. Staying outside, he caught his breath and then entered the classroom, nonchalant. He looked around, seeing the people he knew. Ryuu, Matrim, Emily, and that guy who was in his English class as well. If he remembered correctly, his name was Adrian.
Nick took the empty seat on the other side of Ryuu, and waved at the people he knew with a slight motion of the hand. He looked forward and noticed that there was no teacher to be found. He turned and asked anyone close that would answer his question.
"Where's the teacher?"

Professor Burr pushed through the doors of the school and made the short walk directly to the class he was going to be teaching out of. With a sigh and a heave he lifted a hand to wipe a bead of sweat off his face. The traffic had thrown him off. His whole day was completely off schedule now. He was fine though. He would survive. He reached the door just as the bell rang. That was what mattered.
He ripped the attendance off the door and strode into the room, looking around at his students. Glaring at them as though they were the bane of his existence he slammed his briefcase down on his table and popped it open. In truth he felt such pride seeing them all sitting there, nice and quiet. <3 He loved the students like they were his own children.
As he shuffled papers he spoke. "Welcome to my Psychology class. I am your Professor. You can call me Mr. Burr, but I know students just prefer Sir. So whatever you prefer, feel free." He looked down at the attendance. The names had already been memorized, but actions spoke a thousand words. "Psychology... Is a science... You may have heard differently, but that is how I will be teaching this class. First, we must understand what Psychology is. Psychology is the study of behaviors and mental processes. Its history is long... and boring. I won't put you to sleep with that, because I know it's not what you want to hear. In contemporary psychology there are 5 perspectives." He paused as he walked over to the projector. "Let's start then shall we?"
The slides began to flick across the screen.
"I know it looks like a lot, and kind of boring. Don't worry, I'm only going to cover the boring stuff quickly. After these topics will be the stuff I KNOW you want to hear about.... Maladaptive behaviours."
"So... There will be a total of three quizzes (don't worry, simple stuffz), and everything will be on slides. Let us begin."
"Next... The neuron."
"Are there any questions up to this point? No? Good. Ryuu. If I was going to say that you are the way you are today because your dog died when you were three, what perspective are you looking at?" Professor Burrs head snapped around to face the student. After he got his answer, he would continue. "Zachary, if I said you were Bi-Polar because your hormones were out of whack, which perspective am I referring to?" Again he would wait. And again he would call on a student. "Sylar, if I said that every time someone, anyone, was afraid, they would scream, what perspective am I looking at? Matrim, Freud says what?" He chuckled to himself. "Emily. If I was doing puzzles, what side of the brain am I using?"

"Hey Emily..." She heard a familiar voice, and upon looking at the direction of the voice, Emily almost jumped. Why, it was Zack! God, it was a long, LONG time since they've last seen each other. Emily was all smiles, and she was happy to see him. "It's been a while, how have you been?"
"Oh my god. Zack!" She said, hugging him as he sat down, only to be reminded very well of her injury. God, why does it have to hurt. "Ow, uh... haha... I better be careful, or I'll bleed again." She smiled pulling herself away and sitting again, "It's been a long time since I last saw you."
Then Ryuu sat next to them. "Hello, Ryuu." she said, "I'm okay. Getting the stitches out by Tuesday next week." She smiled. Emily was glad she was knowledgeable in these sort of things. Pulling out stitches was something she was good at (probably because of her vocation), and all she had needed was instructions from the surgeon and she was all set.
Then the door opened, the teacher made his introduction and then, the class began.
So far, the class was simple enough for Emily. Interestingly, Layla had taught this subject before -- and Psychology would be something Emily knew to some extent. However, this was a very, VERY useful review. Man, she loved the sciences.
After a brief show of slides and a lecture, the professor began asking questions. Emily's answer was simple: "The Right brain. It's responsible for 'creative' skills, which includes puzzles and deciphering patterns."
Emily had the urge to answer the other questions, because she knew this well... heck, she could even answer Zack's question in a heartbeat. But the last thing in Emily's mind right now was to be called a know-it-all, so she kept quiet and wrote down more notes.

Zack accepted the Emily's hug as he sat down, a gentle smile on his face. His muscles were really just lazy perhaps. He could've tried a bit harder. Bleed did she say? Probably a fight. He listened as she started talking about it with the guy next to her all the while paying attention to his classmates coming in to the classroom. Well the person next to Emily... "Ryuu" she called him, had his arm in a sling. Maybe they sparred against each other? Not uncommon, though it was probably all the ruckus with the administration and what not. Zack really didn't know much about it, preferring to stay out of the politics until he could establish his social presence in the new school.
As expected, the people around him were strangers to him, little did he know that many of them went to PHS #259 as well. Clueless little boy. He slunk forward and rested his head on the desk, eyeballs peering around lazily as he continued to observe.
Zack sat up. The bell. Some day, schools will use bells that do not inspire fear, panic, and chaos. It demands attention though so its probably pretty good at its job.
Now at attention, he blinked and made a solid scan of his professor. It was the friggen Mountain King stomping into his hall! One day, that beard would be Zack's, he swore by it.
Oh, what? Class started promptly, not waiting for Zack to snap from his tiny fantasy. Mr. Burr? Throws icicles at his advancing enemies in defence of his hall, his war hammer spitting icy wrath every time it comes down to smite an enemy. Burr. Cold. Ice hammer. That's a good way of remembering the prof's name.
Zack snapped back again and in a panic, read quickly to catch up with what the professor was talking about.
Phew.
Question. "Zachary, if I said you were Bi-Polar because your hormones were out of whack, which perspective am I referring to?" Oh that was a sweet boomy voice!
Answer. "The biological perspective," Zack answered slowly and carefully, making sure to enunciate properly. He found he mumbled a lot and disliked doing it in class. Science stuff, interesting and not scary yet!
But, seriously, this prof looks so EPIC! Aye aye, it may be a bit hard to concentrate during this class.

"Hello, Ryuu. I'm okay. Getting the stitches out by Tuesday next week." "That's good," Ryuu replied, pointing at his arm in the sling, "As you can see, I'm not so lucky, my elbow won't heal for a couple of weeks at least and it's my writing arm too." Ryuu then saw a guy he recognized from gym class, but didn't know, walk in and take a seat in the back corner. Next to walk in was Adrian, who took a seat next to Ryuu and gave him a nod. "Ryuu." "Adrian." Ryuu replied, returning Adrian's nod with one of his own. He then saw Matrim walk in, who greeted Adrian before taking a seat near him. The door opened once more, and Ryuu looked up and saw Nick walk in, who took a seat beside Ryuu before giving those he knew it seemed, a wave. "Where's the teacher?" "Not here yet," Ryuu replied, leaning back in his chair, facing forward once more, "Traffic must be pretty bad."
He then heard the bell ring, as the the door opened, and in walked the teacher!? He looked more like the Greek god Poseidon than a teacher. He then made his introduction, introducing himself as Mr. Burr, and then class began. He then began the lecture, as slides appeared on the projector. Unfortunately, Ryuu couldn't write any of this down, he would more than likely have to rely on Emily to help him with the notes. Hopefully she'd help him. He made a note to ask her at the end of class. Mr. Burr then began asking questions, starting with Ryuu. "Ryuu. If I was going to say that you are the way you are today because your dog died when you were three, what perspective are you looking at?" "The Behavioural prospective, which emphasizes that psychology should focus on observable behaviors that can be measured objectively." Ryuu replied, as the teacher then went on to ask questions directed at almost everyone, save for Nick and Adrian.
Ryuu listened attentively, but beyond that, that was all he could do with his writing arm in the condition it was in, which wasn't so good in the long run.

Matrim had been jotting down notes and listening to everything because psychology honestly fascinated him. So when the teacher began asking questions he was already answering them in his head, with each question meant for someone else he had hoped his would be as easily understood and easily answered. So when the teacher asked Matrim what Freud said he knew that he wasn't simply asking for a biography on Freud but rather about something that he had mentioned in his slides or in his explanations. Matrim quickly reviewed his notes as the others answered and after Ryuu he decided to answer in his own terms.
"Freud says that we are motivated to do certain things or act certain ways due to something that happened in our childhood, in other words Psychodynamic Perspective." Matrim said, and was very influenced to call the man Santa Clause, or ask him if he had ever been in ZZ Top or the Ungrateful Dead. But for some reason the guy seriously looked like he would be one of those awesome personalities just because of his beard and facial structure alone.
Still the idea of all these different things contributing to how he was... the different perspectives... he would want to get a moment to talk to this teacher in private, but something told him that he wasn't going to get a chance to unless he stayed after class.

Sylar had been paying attention but he didn’t know what the answer was. He quickly looked through his notes in regards to finding the freakin answer. He found one that seemed to be right to him and hoped it was the correct answer overall.
“I would say it is the behavioral perspective. The behavioral perspective emphasizes that psychology should focus on observable behaviors that can be measured objectively.”
He hoped that he got that right. If not then he was in a bit of a predicament. Unless this teacher wasn’t a bad one and just helped him along. Sylar wasn’t the brightest but he sure tried.

"Hmm," Adrian mumbled wordlessly out loud as the teacher entered, a big Santa-lookin' fellow of a man. He entered and politely introduced himself. He appeared to be lacking the usual outstanding characterizations and personalities that it seemed many teachers in the public school system had. Other than his large beard, he seemed like a generally normal old psychology professor. He began to flick slides across the screen, and Adrian was thankful his notebook was already out. His pencil flew across the paper, taking in slides and notes as best he could. He wasn't a particularly smart individual, but he was good enough at taking in and processing information. Regardless, Adrian breathed an audible sigh of relief when the man began firing off questions to the students, and his name wasn't included, at least in the first rounds.
His eyes flashed over his notes, and then back to the slides shown, going back and forth as he copied furiously, trying to keep as much in his memory as possible. He'd prefer not to have to fumble through his notes for the answer when he was finally called upon.
In the back of his mind, however, Adrian was content enough. This struck him as being quite a normal class, unlike the swimming debacle or the rather specific class on Chinese History during the Three Kingdoms era. Here, Adrian felt like an actual high school student again, which was something he rarely got to acheive these days.
