This is How Trouble Gets Started (Ryuu)

((For continuity's sake, let's pretend this happens before my other thread, "Dismantle. Repair."))


He had been waiting too long for some spark, and yet, found none. It was as if the life had been sucked from the halls of Moral Crest, and the fighting population had suffered from it. Even the battles seemed half-hearted and lacking inspiration. Adrian, meanwhile, was having none of it.

"You!" he said, grabbing a student by the collar on his way out to the courtyard directly after school. "You wanna get into a fight?!"

"I, uh... er... no, not really." With disgust, Adrian tossed him to the side, where he stumbled a few times, and kept walking. Not yet discouraged, Adrian grabbed the next guy leaving class.

"How 'bout you? Wanna fight?"

"YEAH!" The boy replied, and cocked his fist back for a punch, but Adrian's own hand shot forward into his nose, smashing it and sending to the boy to the ground, unconscious.

"Jesus, son, you shoulda said 'no'." Adrian said, almost feeling sorry for the kid he just crushed.

Now the discouragement was setting in. This was just ridiculous, and Adrian was getting pissed. His eyes looked towards the school doors, and scanned them for someone who looked like not only would they fight, but they'd at least make it interesting for him in the meantime.

Zzzzz...

Ryuu was sleeping in the back of the class, his head resting on his arms. Sunlight shined down on him though as he dozed lightly, he was snoring away softly, his stomach rising and up and down with each breath he took. Ryuu was tired and sleepy. He had woken up an hour early for no apparent reason, and had barely managed to get through the day. He supposed the half-shut blinds in his room was the reason; they didn't block out the rays of light which had woken him up. So, now groggy and looking half-asleep, Ryuu walked into his class rubbing his eyes and headed straight for the back of the class, taking the desk in the very back, before passing out two minutes later. He shifted slightly in his sleep, his mouth opening a bit, as he continued to snore away, at least he wasn't one of those guys that snored up a storm, so as long as he didn't fall out of his desk, or drooled, the teacher would never know Ryuu was asleep. With five minutes left in the class, his head jerked a bit to the side, as Ryuu jerked slightly, waking up, a half-asleep expression on his face.

He looked over at the clock on the wall, and saw there was now four minutes left, as he yawned, and stretched his arms over his head, as the bell rang for the end of school. Ryuu then packed his stuff away, and then slung his bag over his shoulder, before walking out of the classroom. He stumbled around the hallway, still half-asleep, and wandered aimlessly around the halls for a minute, before reaching his locker. He spun the lock combo, and unlocked his locker, before leaning his head against his locker, still groggy from his little nap. He placed his books away, and closed his locker shut. Ryuu then turned and started to walk down the hallway, but because he was still in his half-asleep state, he did not see Adrian in the hallway, and ended up walking headlong into him, stopping him in his tracks.

"..." Ryuu didn't say anything, partly because he was too sleep-deprived to be able to string anything together, so the thing he did was just push past Adrian, unable to recognize him at the moment, and continued down the hallway. No sleep = Ryuu in a bad mood. Not something that anyone would want to deal with. Unless Adrian was in bad mood too. Then a fight would begin. What an afternoon huh?
