That's right folks.
Jack is an artist too, but not in the way you might expect. I sing, I play bass, but to be honest, I'm losing it in the first, and haven't been that good in the second to any extent. But there is something I consider more than anything a definite art form, and I take pride in each and every work I do using this media. This will be my seventh work, and quite probably the most awesome of them up until now.
To those wondering?
I am an Information Technology Technician.
My specialty? Custom computer builds.
Yep. That's right. My job is fixing old computers and building new ones, and as you might know by now, I like the latter so much more.
So without further ado. Again...I give you the point in this thread.
I'm building a computer! >_> Yeah! In about a week or so, and for the cool part...you get to watch! Well, not live, but I'll go through the parts, process, and production of this monstrous being, with work logs, tests and everything else that might be relevant.
Or asked via PM.
Either way works.
So let's go to the next post! The parts that will be used in this particular computer, as ordered by my client!
The start of Build 007.

The Parts: The start of a great desktop gaming system starts with the best ingredients of course, and Build 007 is absolutely, positively no exception. Every part has been proven by many others to have extremely high reliability rates as well as performance. Hey, that's great and all, but where do all these parts go? Well, that's a good question, so let's get started first on the quote that was discussed with, and accepted by my client. _____________________________________________ Case: -[Coolermaster HAF 932 Full Tower Chassis]- The HAF 932 is a full tower case standing almost two feet in height by two feet in width. The chassis is also 9 inches deep, almost 2 inches more than a standard full tower. The size is one thing, but the Coolermaster is constructed of heavy grade steel, making it invulnerable to normal wear and tear. The cooling system includes three massive 230 millimeter fans placed at the front, side, and top sides of the case, with a 140 millimeter exhaust fan. On top of that, these fans are quiet...no more annoying hum while you're trying to game! Other features include screw-less installation brackets, extra fan mounts, and retaining holes placed at strategic locations for use in liquid-cooling should the user opt for that selection. Motherboard: -[EVGA X58 SLI]- The EVGA X58 SLI is considered, besides their own Classified motherboard, one of the best overclocking solutions on the market today. Most of what is located on the board is standard on EVGA X58 solutions...six 240-pin memory slots, LGA 1366 socket for Core-i7 processors, as well as the standard plethora of ports, included integrated eSATA. Cool! What sets this board apart is the fact that it supports three GTX 285 video cards in 3-way SLI. I'd also like to mention that the E-LEET tuning tool, a variant of CPU-Z, is also extremely useful. CPU: -[Intel Core i7-920]- The i7-920, while the cheapest of Intel's new Nehelem architecture, is by no means the weakest. In fact, this quad-core chip was chosen particularly because of its potential, not its out-of-box performance. This processor, while it cannot clock as high as say it's big brother the i7-975, the headroom for overclocking is enormous, allowing for vastly increased performance at a fraction of the cost. Besides that, right out of the box, the improved Nehelem architecture is extremely potent and powerful, and is the most advanced desktop processor to date.
