We were talking about our characters in the SPAM thread

And I started thinking back to my old characters on other boards and got a little nostalgic.

SO I FIGURED it would be an awesome idea for everyone to dig into their storage folders and share a little bit about one of their old or retired characters. Could be from any board...in fact that might be preferrable, to make things more interesting.

And don't post their whole blasted profiles or your whole list of characters...cuz no one will read it! One pic and a short summary would be perfect.

And I'm not going first because I don't want to do this if no one else is interested in sharing.

Um I guess I'll post my two favorite characters for this one.

Gabriel Seran: Actually I got this motivation from a book, name in particular, um basically it was a vampire novel that gave him that old fashion gentleman style about him but still a bit modern in his own right. Originally he was much of a good guy very about the people which I plan on returning him to such. He's had a dark few months and thats Bastille's fault OOC who showed me Code Geass and I just fell in love with Lelouch's character so I changed Gabe up to fit that sort of purpose. Originally picked pics from that but never saw the show. Coincidence?

Yea but I plan on returning to being a good guy here soon I cant play evil for too very long so theres an opening in that field for anyone here soon enough.

Jaus Valentine: Same basic concept from the same series of books though this time I figured after about a year of RPing I had some extra knowledge under my belt and created a character who didn't really have a split personality and rather than being very perfect become very flawed with his depression state but not enough to make him anti-social. He became the brooding character who wanted justice in a cold world.
In essence he eventually has molded to become a pillar and a well know fighter at Point Hope which I was very proud of his development at that point. Thanks to Selena, Robbie, Lloyd and Jiro in particular for helping along with my shaping of him. Helped a lot!

Oh man...

I've got a ton of old characters. Seriously. >_>

Back in 2004, I was starting out as a one-liner RPer in a bakeshop called Maru-Mari Pizza. I was a chef named "Ouhasa tomoyo"

I used this character name for a novel I was making then, but dropped it a year after. I made my own restaurant shop called "The Hanako Teashop" under the pseudonym of "Mika Shimokawa" and right now it still thrives at more than 10,000 posts xD Quite a feat for a thread on Gaia.

It wasn't long before I joined HVN and met most of the HVNers on 2005.

My characters were:

Shimokawa-Akuma, Mika - Juudaime Hokage


Mikaze-Hyuuga, Harumi - Jounin


Akimichi, Kana - Science-nin


Akuma, Megumi - Suibaku and Mika's firstborn

"Dent"
A psychotic killer elf Based on the dentist elf from rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Had Christmas-based moves and spells, like the "Feliz Navidodge"


Scythe
Started as a water-element planeswalker in a Magic the Gathering roleplay, later moved him to a mage board where he practiced the magic of Willcrafting and was generally a badass

HVN as well... I joined before Marianne did and made a character. He was the twin of another character who my cousin intended to role-play in the Gaia Shinobi Academy (set in Otogakure).

They were to be complementary fraternal twins. My character Akuma Suibaku (Devil Hydrogen Bomb) was a water-adept ninja with heavy focus on water ninjutsu and my cousin's Akuma Genbaku (Devil Atomic Bomb) was a fire-based fire ninjustsu user.

They both joined as Genin into otogakure but my cousin didn't role play so i moved along with my own character, ending up in Konohagakure (meeting and marrying Marianne's character Shimokawa Mika) and jointly with Amegakure (remember Chocorem, yeah he set that up) and the Missing Nin Hideout when the Gaia Shinobi Academy closed. Shortly after, the 3 threads joined together to form HVN (Hidden Villages of Ninjutsu)

Babies were had and I fused Genbaku into Suibaku with some occult elemental ritual (... I dunno... dragonball... yeah...)

I also made Mideel Haka for a kirigakure thread and probably my favourite character of all time, Kangaku Yamimaru, a sound-ninja who messes with sound and senses. He is a sado-masochist and delirious... and it's just fun XD

Oh we also did a XIN RP back on Gaia and I made some character who sleeps all the time, forgot his name (Marianne just reminded me that his name is Nemuri). His fighting style involved sleep ... much like drunken fist.

*rolls up sleeves* 'Kay, I got a lot of old characters, but I'll post the ones I RP'ed from XINRP.

Back in January 2008, I started RPing on Hircine High, as Ryou Jackson.

Ryou Jackson


He was a half-Japanese kid who was the captain of the basketball team, but was also an amateur hacker. He has a younger sister, his father is a surgeon, and his mother died when he was young. Regarding the creation of him, there was none, I just created him out of nowhere.

Then in the same year, around March, I moved to Westbrook Academy as the Moderator there, RPing as Tyson Westley, who strangely, was the only character to establish a relationship with a girl on the board, before it died.

Tyson was a kid who's father killed his mother in a fit of rage, who ended up in the hospital after he tried to kill Tyson, but Tyson leg swept him, knocking him to the ground just as he fired the gun in his hand. Tyson ended up adopted by his Judo teacher, and fought for the title of School Captain, but lost, but ended up being picked as a Pillar before Westbrook died. Not much inspiration for him as well, except for his ethnicity, which was the same as Ryou, half Japanese.

Then in May, I joined Public High School 253, as Jonathan Davis.

Jonathan was the fraternal twin of Giselle Davis, his sister. Their mother died from a car accident, and their father lapsed into a coma. The inspiration for Jonathan was from Tamaki of Ouran High School Host Club, because Johnny was half-French, half-Japanese.

Then still in May, I joined Public High School 650, since 253 was dying, and RP'ed as Alexander Hikari, reincarnated as Ryuu Hikari, and Riley Davis.

Then when 650 died, Jiro, Corey, Selena, and I, created Point Hope, and transferred my two OC's there, as well as creating Li Nakamura.

And then, I joined Public High School 259, which is where I met all you guys here, before it blew up, and then came to 42, where Alex 2.0 aka Ryuu was born.

I think only Lloydie ever read about this one! Since we didn't get to have his character join in.. before the board died! She was form a Tales of Symphonia board called: Tales of Roleplay.

She was the guide for the Earth Chosen. She constantly argued with Evander during their journey. They got to Atlantis before she was killed by the Chosen and his two comrades! Auggie and Charlone. because she mutated into a giant evil hair..reproductive organ monster [against my will]

She was one of my favourite characters!

Polaris was a half elf I think, and had a problem with clothes! Growing up with nudists and all, the girl tended to wear basically nothing at all. She had many mood swings, long green hair, and used healing arts and basic magic.. or poked people to death with her spear!

T'was my first high school board! Westbrook! So yar, she was shy and quiet. But kind of fun!

Soft spoken, quiet and afraid to make friends after hers perished in a shooting. But she befriended a few people, which was good for her!

Addie Balfour:



From the depths of Alaska, in a school for those who've done wrong.. You have the PMS Queen of Point Hope! She was one of my favourites! Mostly because of some of the wonderful adventures she had with all the people she had met. I really liked her, it was fun clothing her! That's for sure. She was kind of quiet for the most part, but then fun loving and sometimes mean. She's also one of those short tempered characters! They are just really fun to play!

I don't remember where I got the inspiration for her, but it was a fun run with her! <3 I'd like to use her again.

Admir Hayner:



Yes! The great stalker himself, searching the school for his beloved German flower whom he had lost years before reaching Point Hope. This persistant young man never gabe up his search. But you see, through out the years, he grew delusional! Always, mistaking every girl he saw for Addie. He'd stalk them and be weird! Those when around any one else, he'd act weird, always threatening them with weird punishments!.. or Appearing out of nowhere and surprising people.

Oh god. I'll spare you guys the Historical Romance of the Three Kingdoms Characters, as if you wanna know about them you're more than welcome to wikipedia every person during the era (I've seriously played everyone... Except Xiahou Dun. Fuck that.). However, I will post my custom characters from those Games...

Guan Shao. He's dressed in Samurai attire, though he was played in a 3rd century AD China RP. This was before I knew more about the time periods. I still play him on random sites to this day, and a new site is springing up that is almost required for me to play him. He will always hold a special place in my heart.


Amos. He was on 259. He was a pretty flat character, but began my long reign of never playing someone from America on these Xin boards. He was turned into a Quest character, where he fought against 3-4 Students (Rem, Emily, and Aureus, and some other kid that was only there for that quest (he put him through the roof of the building)), as two other original character fought others (Including one who fought Mikey to a loss, and then grabbed Unfettered's ass on their way off the building). He died when the clocktower exploded, burying him in the rubble.


A lot of people will recognize this guy from here; Professor Doloyovich is just an extension of The Priest, who was an original Arcane Academy student, signed on very early in its development, known for summoning Zerg Starcraft units, and taking down Jyo who was 2 levels his higher with some underhanded but completely legit tactics. I love him as well.


Shimazu Aspharr, another character from the same game as The Priest. I used him as my ruler on one of the Three Kingdoms RP's, taking over for his dead father (Whom I also played, but had no image attributed to him, his name was Shimazu Iehisa) who died after many successful campaigns, unifying the north. It was awesome, I went on getting Second place in the RP (Due to inactivity of my kingdom members).

There's others, just not as held dear to me.

Luke Gallagher: The first character I ever had approved, it was just over a year ago on PHS 253. Luke is Matrim's father. He was epic, and I basically based him off of me. Learned that doing that lead to too much IC and OOC attachment. And while that was good for epic post count and never having a lack of creativity, it also made me take IC things a little too seriously. So I sorta promised myself I wouldn't do that anymore. Ended up killing Luke off in Matrim's storyline.



Toby McKensie: Started out on 253 with Luke and crew, he was the first character I ever made, second approved though. I joined RP'ing because of a friend Cody who played Wesley McKensie, Toby's brother. He wrote the character history but I RP'ed a bit more in the end. He was a teacher on PH, same timeline as Luke so he was old enough to teach Matrim Gallagher. He was a funny drunk Irish, I liked playing him a lot =3. I often thought I should have brought him over as opposed to making Reggie Kamp on this board, since I've got more RP experience with him.



The Doctor: A crappy admin on a xin board leads to things that shouldn't be on a xin board. Ever. Like in a million years. Ever ever ever ever.

But this guy was SO much fun to play on a Xin board. And everyone seemed to like RP'ing with him. In fact, to this day I think I've always had more inspiration for him than any other character. Even if he wasn't an OC.



John-Baptiste Kamp A.K.A Marquise: A blood thirsty character, the first of the Kamp's. The original creation of this character was on 259, to this day he's the first stat character I've ever made. My first stat fight was with the Earth Dragon, and I clearly lost since I had a 90 stat noob, and I got my ass OWWWWWWNED hard. I loved that fight though, and soon found I liked losing fights cus it was much funner to RP injuries, and I had more inspiration for a loss than a win.
