I have noticed a few members roleplaying in multiple threads at once. That is, the same character is at more than one place at once, as he/she is talking to different people in different threads where different things are going on. I'm not complaining; I wouldn't mind doing the same thing myself. I was just wondering if this was cool and accepted by everyone, even though on a realistic scale, it may not make sense.
Please don't think I over analyze everything. >.<

hun no worries.
We role-play mulitple threads as though it were different time frames. While in one thread i may be speaking to you, in another i may be speaking to someone else three or four days later. it IS accepted by everyone here, i believe, so long as you keep track in your head whats going on in all your threads at which times.

Its cool and accepted.
However, you have to keep track of what the "order of when things happen."
If it really does bother you, I'd recommend start up making a thread history list in your profile. Generally, determining whether or not a thread occurs before or after a thread, unless agreed upon by all parties, usually starts with the "Real Time" date that you start a thread.
I can show you a few examples, if you want.
Edit: XD Eh, Corey got to it first.

This is actually perfectly acceptable.
As long as you keep a good record in your mind which thread comes first. You should also talk about which thread comes first with those you're playing with.
It's generally accepted that whichever thread you start first comes before the others.
Thread A comes before thread B because it was posted at noon, rather than twelve thirty.
Get it?

as far as i know it is accepted. Time paradoxes are prone to happen yes, but usually only minor things. If it is anything major, which it usually isnt its no big deal, you just change the time or perspective of the thread to fit.
Least that is my opinion on the matter

When I first started roleplaying, this was something that confused me too, and I had to have it explained for me.
I like to consider any multiple threads to be happening at similar times, like within the same week, rather than at the exact same time, and that perspective pretty much keeps things from getting confusing.
Time is like silly putty here; you can stretch and mold it a bit. And you can stick it on newspaper and pick up backwards versions of the comic strips.

Ah, thankies for the clear up, everyone. Well, mostly clear up. Time paradoxes and such can make my brain even more fuzzy. O.o
I just didn't want it to be like-
Mod: WTF are you doing?! You are in THAT thread, doing THAT! How can you be doing THIS?!?
Me: B-but... there were other people doing it, so... so I thought...
Mod: YOU THOUGHT WRONG, NOOB! If they jumped off a cliff, would you jump off a cliff?
Me: Well, m-maybe if it was a small cliff, with water underneath.
Mod: FOOL!

You guys are all awesome in your answers. I kind of do multiple threads... but not a lot, because it messes up my concept of character and causes meta-RPing for me.
