As for Qi ideas, how about something that related to your bio thing where he can somehow formulate some kind of weapon with extending his qi? Particles in the air, persay fallen hair, skin (dust !), like he can still send his qi through that stuff?
*shrug* still very out there, but perhaps you could form something with that XD?
