This thread is open to anyone of the witnesses of Emily's shooting, or anyone who wishes to join the quest without going through Sin's side. Please note that each side of the story have their own reward sets.
There was no emotion on Layla's face as she sat beside a barely alive filipina. A girl she had treated to be more than a student of hers, but rather to be her own daughter. The woman knew who did this to Emily, but knew that if she involved anyone else - it would cause the students much more pain and panic than they were already in.
There was much regret and pain in Layla's mind, remembering the first time she had herself involved with "Revelations". They were an organization- no, a cult of professionals from over the world who aim to create equality on the world by all means possible.
The eradication of Qi, the death of all those inhumanly powerful, those were just the beginning. At first, Layla saw them to be a cause worth fighting. After all, it was only until a few months back when Revelations decided to change their ways into more desperate means, using science on their side.
What was more, Layla was the one who developed the bullet that had Emily in this condition. She knew exactly how it worked. It was never able to kill anyone, but doses of the solidified drug that were used on this girl was able to weaken people a considerable amount.
Emily received three shots, including one she got from Layla herself.
"... I am sorry, Cris." She said, running her hands by Emily's hair. "I did not mean to get you involved in this, but if I did as they told me to, there will be more suffering. Students like you should never experience the horrors of that Correctional Facility again."
There was a weak smile on the Teacher's face, almost as if she was stopping herself from crying.

Gabriel needed closure, he needed to understand what had happened that day. All he could clearly remember was being frozen with fear when the shots went off. No that wasn't it, fear hadn't gripped him that day it was a feeling much more like pain. Pain at seeing her harmed and he was just as at fault. He could have done something to keep her from harm, he could have better protected her.
He stood out in the middle of the hallway fists clenched as he leaned over a vending machine. Gabriel's upper lip quivering at his self loathing. A heavy fist came down on the machine putting a good dent in it's side with an audible clunk. Never again would he allow for the people he cared for to be harmed.
He walked the corridors till he found her room. The one with the labeled chart with the extremely long name. Gabriel peeled around the corner carelessly, his nerves finding some calm before he walked in. His eyes set on a stranger he'd seen from his Science class.
"Oh um Excuse me..." Gabriel stuttered out a bit self-consciously before sitting in a seat quieter than ever.

David ran, his arms pumping, through the halls. He didnt stop for halts or slow downs, he ran on, bursting into the room, panting and sweaty. He went over to the bedside and spoke to Layla, trying to get out his words.
"Ms. Clavering....is she going...to be alright?"
He was worried- before when she had been shot he was able to deal with it because he knew that the wound was not fatal. He had an eye for injuries and could tell that she would survive. This however, was different. The bullets had penetrated deep, and she had teken two of them. He wore a white t shirt and blue jeans, simple and yet also elegant. He had yet to notice Gabriel, which for both of them may or may not be a good thing. He probably would have ignored the boy anyway, since his only concern was on the girl in front of him. He was worried sick- he wasnt able to find any peace of mind since it happened. He constantly thought about it, and now, standing before her, couldn't help but think over all the memories he had with her.
The fighting, the crying, the mansion. They had shared personal things with each other, and had a friendship that ran deep in his opinion, though they had not spoken much since they arrived from 259. He knelt beside the bed.
"Please Layla-" He said her first name without thinking. "-tell me. Will she be okay?"

((Soooo, I guess this means this would be after Mr. Orange... nice! Uh... looks like I'll post in my other thread tonight then.))
Trizen bounced his head to a tune he had in his mind. It was "Spain" by Chick Corea. He remembered the version of the famous Spanish pianist and his duo with Japanese prodigy Hiromi Uehara. Those two were a real pair. He hummed along and heard everything in his mind. The percussive instances and the harmonies they applied. It was just ridiculous the kind of dexterity they had in order to play what they did. It was really something great.
The boy wasn't wearing anything much different than before. Ok, not true. He wore his simple blue jeans, white shirt and black jeans jacket. Figured it would have been a fresh change since he needed something to keep his hopes up. Emily saved his life and he was not about to settle for anything less than optimistic. Emily would be fine. He knew it. He hoped...
"Hey Doctor Clavering! I bought the Potato Bagel you wanted!" He said on opening the door, the vibe being happy, cheerful and hopeful. But then he spotted Gabriel and David Blaze. Really? Wow, he wondered how long they'd been here. They certainly weren't here before he was. Or maybe they came when Layla sent Trizen to get some food -- or at least that's how Trizen would put it. Layla seemed more concerned about something else than eating so the boy left to get her a very filling snack. A potato bagel. Yes indeed, he loved Tatsu's Bakery.
"Hey, good to see you all," the boy said on nodding his head on closing the door behind him.

Ryuu, for the most part, had kept silent, merely observing what was happening around him. He was leaning up against the wall beside the door, his arms folded across his chest, his eyes closed as he kept to himself. He had entered in after Trizen, slipping in quietly, noticing that Gabriel and David were already here. His eyes slowly opening, Ryuu's gaze was focused only on Emily, everyone else in the room was blocked out, though he did give Trizen a nod of acknowledgment as he entered, but besides him, no one else. Emily had saved not just his life, but Trizen's life as well. The two of them owed Emily for that. Ryuu was now even more determined than before, he didn't care how long it took, he was going to find the person that shot Emily, and he was going to make that person pay. He loved her, and he would not let her sacrifice go to waste.
They had a close and deep relationship, despite the fact that each and every other person in the room knew Emily much longer than Ryuu did, and yet, they had forged a deep bond with each other over a short period of time. He was so worried about Emily, that he hadn't been able to sleep, after the day she had been taken to the hospital, Ryuu had visited her every single day, staying by her side until the nurses had to kick him out, but he was back the very next day, right on time. He hoped that she would, no, she will wake up. He wasn't going to give up, he loved Emily, and would always look after her, no matter what. "Dr. Clavering," Ryuu said quietly, finally saying something after staying silent for some time, "Why would anyone want to shoot at the students? What possible reason and gain is there, to shoot at us?" Ryuu, though his face was calm, his eyes had a troubled look in them. It doesn't make any sense. What is the point for all this? And more importantly, who did it in the first place...?

(OOC: My character hasn't really met anyone, nor does she have any real reason to be in the hospital, but I really would like to be in on a quest so this is gonna be a bit of a stretch XD If it's unacceptable go ahead and modslap my post into oblivion, or however you wanna handle it.)
Malix is waiting. Waiting. Waiting.
The yellowed flourescent tubing of the hospital hallways hums overhead in Gregorian polyphony, and the loudspeaker gently chimes into the tune periodically to urge Doctor So-and-So to Room XYZ.
Malix is waiting. Mom...
The girl's mother had broken her leg when a stair in their new house had failed. "New" house I call it...the thing was over a hundred years old and purportedly haunted...maybe this was the first sign of ghostly inhabitants that had as of yet gone undetected!
No, that was silly. Malix puts it from her mind, and sets about re-reading the three-month-old copy of Sports Illustrated for the third time since sitting down. How long did it take to set a bone and affix a cast? Sheesh...
After a few frustrating minutes of pretending to care about an article on curling, she tosses the magazine down in vexation, and starts paying attention to her surroundings. Almost immediately, she overhears the tail end of a hushed query in the room across the hall from the chair one of the nurses had planted her in oh so long ago.
"-ould anyone want to shoot as the students? What possible reason and gain is there, to shoot at us?"
Shooting? At students? It did not connect in her mind that this could concern her school or any other school in the neighborhood...it was just plain interesting. She quietly switches to a chair across the hall, one against the wall just outside the door where the voices can be heard from, and listens in.

"Oh um Excuse me..."
Layla looked at the door. Alas, visiting hours - the time when she had expected Emily's friends to come. It seems as though most of her friends were male, and it wasn't surprising. Emily was very pretty, intelligent, and nice to boot. The doctor gave her student a smile, her expression not showing any anxiety of any sort. "Come in, Gabriel... she is still quite alive, if you want to ask."
Barely alive.
Layla's thoughts started to wonder until David burst into the room. She just gave a smile. David had been friends with Emily for a while, and she could tell that he was quite worried. "She will be fine. Though, I will be frank. That could change, she is not quite stable, I'm afraid."
Trizen would then come in with the potato bagel she had asked him to get. Yes, Layla had been here since Emily was brought in. The girl had lost a lot of blood, it was a good thing the boys brought in an ambulance when they did. Besides IV fluids, Emily was given a bag of blood.
Her bloodtype wasn't exactly the easiest to find either. An AB-... oh boy. Layla stared at the bagel, even as Ryuu started to ask his own question.
"Why would anyone want to shoot at the students? What possible reason and gain is there, to shoot at us?"
Layla stared at the bagel further. How is she going to answer this? "There is everything to gain, Ryuu." She stated, "For one, Emily is a known person in 42. If she's taken down, then there will be quite a bit of attention drawn onto it."
She then placed the bagel by the bedside table, wondering if she was even hungry. Layla had lost all will to eat since she heard of this. Sin had gone too far.
She knew as well, that if she said everything to these children, they would be killed. These weren't ordinary people they're dealing with, after all. "She was shot twice with a special bullet that dissolves after it comes into contact with blood. One dose usually just weakens a person considerably, but Emily got shot twice - her body wasn't strong enough to take it."
How did Layla know of all this?

Gabriel had figured as much. He knew Emily was far too strong to die from an attack like that. Perhaps injured and dreadfully in bad shape but still he was assured that she'd be very much alive. Soon as she was to wake. Till then his gaze remained low remembering how he'd hesitated. He couldn't be the man he saw down the road if he ever hesitated like that again. His fists clenched in his seat and his upper teeth clenched down as well fighting back the memories straining his clear thoughts.
The door was hurriedly opened by Blaze who entered without acknowledging Gabriel. He could suspect it either as a grudge or a simple miss step and too concerned for Emily's well-being but it concerned him very little in fact. His heavy set gaze burned holes in the floor as his patient mind crippled his movement.
"Hey, good to see you all,"
Gabriel finally looked up at Trizen. Incredible how the boy was able to do that, be so level headed and considererate when the timing was necessary. Certainly got his attention. Then Ryuu entered close after certifying his own inspections. Gabriel wanted to know just as much as they did. It concerned him to have random people consorting about with violent intentions as such.
Gabriel paid close attention to Dr. Clavering's words. Indeed she was very right, of all people Emily was probably the most influential within the school grounds. If that was the purpose behind it then who would be next. David? Matrim? Even Gabriel himself was a plausible target.
"She was shot twice with a special bullet that dissolves after it comes into contact with blood. One dose usually just weakens a person considerably, but Emily got shot twice - her body wasn't strong enough to take it."
Gabriel cocked a brow still deliberating. 'Special bullet?' Did this have anything to do with the Correctional Facility and their experiments? He needed to hear more to fully understand what was going on but till then he was unsure if his presence here was welcome.
"What is it that we can do about it Dr.?" Gabriel said in an omnipotent voice finally standing.

Trizen frowned when he saw Dr. Layla put the bag down. She wasn't hungry. That and he spent $1.35 for that bagel. It was a warm and fresh pastry... and the last one. Trizen's stomach made a rumbling noise on thinking about it, and smiled shyly. Like any typical anime character, he put his writing hand behind his head and rubbed it sorely in apologizes.
Though while all this was going on out front, in the depths of Trizen's mind, he was trying to connect some of the known pieces. Layla was answering every question with a pre-emptive accuracy. Right, she was a Doctor, but a lot of it didn't make sense. Emily had been to the hospital perhaps three or four times this year and Layla had not been around to even send a card. What made this time different? The good Doctor was nervous. She was usually very serene, but this seemed too... too calm. Too serene. If she wasn't eating for the day, then she was nervous about a particular kind of information.
There we go.
She spoke to everyone about a special kind of bullet. Emily had been shot before, but not like this. The snow-pepper haired girl was strong and a fighter if anything. Why would Layla know something about this bullet? Come to think of it, why was she gone most of the week at school? Trizen had visited to see if she needed help with work and she wasn't there. He figured personal leave, but coincidences like this were too close. But, he would give her the benefit of the doubt. They couldn't have been related... right?
"I understand you're actually very keen on ammunition," Trizen said on keeping to suit topic, "Though this feels different, mainly because of the way you explained it. Almost as though you've encountered this kind of technology before. Bio-degradable weaponry isn't common, particularly if you know the strength and impact the weapon could cause."
Trizen knew the shots were meant for Ryuu and himself. He wouldn't forget it. He just wanted the Doctor to say what was on her mind. She was nervous enough. Trizen hoped his sort of reassurance would be... well... reassuring. She was a mentor to him.
"Please, Doctor Clavering. If you know more than you're not wanting to say, it would mean a lot if you said so. Emily saved our lives today, and if this new thread somehow involves you, we'll be sure to stand in protection of you."
He smiled in his sort of kid kind of way. He was still a young boy.
"Don't worry Doc, we got your back. Or uh.. at least you know I do."

No doubt about that. Emily really was well known within the school, if she was taken down, not only would a lot of attention would be drawn onto it, but quite a bit of the students, mostly males who were friends with her, Ryuu included, would not be thrilled. He saw Dr. Clavering place the bagel that was in her hand down, he had no doubt in his mind that she wouldn't be hungry, not after what had happened. Ryuu then turned his head to look at Gabriel, who asked what they could do about it, before turning his attention to Trizen, who gave his thoughts. Ryuu was no naive fool. He knew the shots that Emily took were meant for both him and Trizen. He was going to repay her sacrifice, no matter how long it took him. "I too have your back Dr. Clavering," Ryuu spoke up in a soft voice, finally pushing off from his perch by the wall, ["Every one of the people in this room care not just for Emily, but for your well being as well."]
He placed his left hand on Dr. Clavering's shoulder, as he stood behind her, giving her a small smile, before turning to Emily, looking at her, as his right hand clenched up tightly. Emily... You saved my life... and I won't forget that. I love you, and I will find out who shot you. I will make that person pay, I swear. Sadness clearly in his eyes, Ryuu finally pulled his gaze away from Emily, as he looked back at Dr. Clavering. "Dr. Clavering, if you know who did this, if you know anything at all, please, tell us. Even if it potentially puts any one of us in danger, I still want... No, I need to know regardless." His eyes now full of determination, Ryuu looked calmly at Dr. Clavering, his gaze never wavering from her. "Emily saved both my life and Trizen's. I need to return the sacrifice she made, so that it wasn't committed in vain."

(OOC: here goes nuthin) (OOC#2: Are we sticking to a post order? Cuz if so, we skipped Blaze...)
Malix listens as the people in the room talk of disintegrating bullets and love and tragedy. This was heavy stuff. There were clearly deep ties at work between the people in that room, and things at stake beyond the scope of speculation without further factual augmentation.
The relatively innocent young red-headed student is awash in guilt for her voyeurism in regards to these peoples' misfortunes. However, despite any mental lashing she might have given herself for this inconsideration, she cannot tear herself away. Why? There were students' lives on the table here. That much she had been able to grasp clearly from listening to the conversation. The people in that room were perhaps her own age, and spoke of this injured one, Emily, as a peer and friend.
Worst of all is the pain in the female adult voice that drifts from the room. Now, however, the students start making demands, of all things.
Listening to all this, Malix gets madder and madder. Haven't these people got any sensitivity at all? It's that last comment about "sacrifice" that is the last straw. Without thinking, Malix enters the room.
"Shame on you people!" she shouts, and stands protectively in front of the only adult woman in the room, her arms thrown wide as if to ward off their words. "How can you interrogate her this way? Don't you understand how she's feeling now?" Maybe Malix is out of line, maybe she's uninformed, but her emotions are pure and unfeigned. Maybe this makes her too childish for the events that might be unfolding, or maybe her pure outlook will hold some key to victory...no one could possibly say for sure until it was all over. Still, Malix bites her lip in indignation and stands her ground, looking from one person to the next. She offers no apology for eavesdropping at this time, and probably won't until her anger subsides.

"I have a few questions."
The dark, cold and genderless voice would resonate throughout the room. She had been there a while now, watching over Emily. Layla should have known she was there at the very least. After all, she was the Observer in this game.
For the most part, Delilah felt a substantial amount of guilt. She should have been the one to take the shots, if not pursue and capture the assaulter. She had failed in this...the attacker was too quick, was hidden by too mant bystanders.
Next time, it would be different.
Next time, there would be blood.
Delilahs eyes were hidden by her hood, her feathered, ratty looking gray cloak seemed to shift with every muscle movement. It would be this that allowed Delilah to hide in the shadow for so long without being noticed. For those who did not know it was her -everyone spare Emily and Gabriel- or even female, this would be a new experience indeed. She was, of course, addressing Miss Clavering, standing beside the vehement redhaired girl who had spoken out against the inquiries. Under her hood, her eyes connected with Miss Clavering. Her stance, like her garment, betrayed nothing, no emotion, no allegiance. An aura of silent, unmerciful nature enveloped her. To those who had no idea who she -it- was, she should come across as a force to be reckoned with simply by the feel of the strength of her rage pouring out of her. Oh, and Delilah did more than play the part at the moment. Better yet, she WAS that. There was nothing but cold rage boiling in her stomach. It was consuming. But it allowed her to look at the situation almost thoughtfully.
She pressed her lips together a little to make them appear thinner, more masculine. "But not here, perhaps...Doctor." brushing past those in her way without so much as a cursory glance to any of them -she did recognize David from the alley a few days before- but paid him no mind. She was not Delilah right now. She was 'Shade'.
She stood before Layla Clavering and an enevlope appeared in her gloved hand, extended towards Miss Clavering. "For your eyes only." Her deep voice was clear in the allusions of what would happen if such things were not kept to ones self. That done, she would turn and walk from the room.
If anyone dared at this point try to pull her back into the room or step in her path, they would indeed find themselves quickly and fluidly struck down with a quick tap against the jugular vein. The shock of stopping the blood flow to and from the brain has teh same effect as slashing thr throat; the body automatically turns itself off to preserve itself. In other words, either they would be very dazed or unconcious. And by the time they recovered, even if it were only a second, Delilah would be gone, nothing but a mist in memory.
...Unless Layla or Gabriel struck out to find her. She would of course notice this and find a more accomodating place for words. Anyone else, however, would find themselves with an empty hallway and several confused nurses.

David listened to everything everyone said, he though, was content with the answer. He didn't feel the need to pry with questions- perhaps if it was just himself in the room he would. However, there were plenty of other people there and they would all be asking questions so he would be happy waiting, standing and watching while leaning against the wall closest to the bed. He cast his gaze over everything from the strange girl in the hallways outburst to the strangely hooded Delilah. David took everything in, including the hushed silence following afterwards.
He ran out quickly after Delilah, taking her arm.
"Hey-" He didn't even have time to form more words, for the girl suddenly turned and attacked him. Rather than try and force anything on anyone and hurt her or himself, he release his grip and threw his head and body away from her strike, avoiding it completely. He had a frown on his face as he watched her leave. Very strange...he would find her later, if he had to.
"Whats in the envelope, Doctor?"
His voice was clear and calm as he re-entered the room, his eyes on Layla as he spoke. He needed answers, and he needed them quickly, especially with the sudden prickle that brought up his hair on the back of his neck. That usually meant trouble, and he wasn't looking forward to anything problematic.
He leaned against the door frame and crossed his arms, both blocking her escape and waiting for an answer.

The woman just smiled, even though it seems as if these teenagers were now pressed into interrogating her. Well, Layla wouldn't deny them what she knew - it was just that the information she was given was quite sensitive. The best she could do was lead them into the right direction. "We wait, Mister Seran." She said, "This is all in Emily's hands right now. We will see just how strong she is if she survives this ordeal." The woman spoke with an almost cold, happy expression. She didn't seem troubled by all this at all, but of course - those who knew her well would basically catch a hint of how she really felt through her eyes.
They were softer than they were, usually.
Then Trizen began to speak: "I understand you're actually very keen on ammunition, though this feels different, mainly because of the way you explained it. Almost as though you've encountered this kind of technology before. Bio-degradable weaponry isn't common, particularly if you know the strength and impact the weapon could cause." He deducted. Smart lad, Trizen was. He had a bright future ahead of him. "Please, Doctor Clavering. If you know more than you're not wanting to say, it would mean a lot if you said so. Emily saved our lives today, and if this new thread somehow involves you, we'll be sure to stand in protection of you." Trizen said said, trying to reassure her. Well, it was an interesting effort at least. "Don't worry Doc, we got your back. Or uh.. at least you know I do."
"I too have your back Dr. Clavering," Ryuu then said, placing a hand by her shoulder and gave the weary doctor a smile. ["Everyone of the people in this room care not just for Emily, but for your well being as well."]
Layla watched Ryuu as he looked at Emily with sad eyes. There was slight longing there - it was obvious from where Layla was sitting. "[... You love her, do you not?]" She inquired, smiling. This wasn't the first she heard about someone liking Emily. Only he was quite obvious about it, unlike David and Trizen.
"Dr. Clavering, if you know who did this, if you know anything at all, please, tell us. Even if it potentially puts any one of us in danger, I still want... No, I need to know regardless. Emily saved both my life and Trizen's. I need to return the sacrifice she made, so that it wasn't committed in vain."
Layla was about to open her mouth to answer when a girl came in. The doctor wasn't so sure if she was a student at 42, but this hospital was in close proximity, so she dismissed it as such. "Shame on you people!" She shouted out, "How can you interrogate her this way? Don't you understand how she's feeling now?"
There was concern in this girl's voice, and slight irritation on what's happening - but Layla had to answer all they asked. Not out of regret, but out of empathy. In spite of her feelings of loss, Layla knew how these children felt. Emily was someone close to them, and it would be selfish to hide anything from them like this. However, she would have to be careful. "Revelations" wasn't a group to be messed around with.
Layla placed her hand by the girl's shoulder, smiling as if she was the happiest woman in the world. "They understand what I feel completely." She said, "I will answer, but I am afraid I cannot tell you everything I know - you know very well how walls have ears."
The woman pulled her wig down, revealing her short, wavy, blonde hair. Trizen would've seen this before, but it wasn't often that she allowed people to see her real image like this. Cosplay was the woman's heart and soul. To take them off, would mean a lot of trust. "First off: I have encountered that kind of ammunition before because I created it." She said, "It was a bullet designed to disable and temporarily weaken a target without killing it. It is made of solidified insulin that is soluble in the presence of blood. Basically, it destroys the glucose in your bloodstream - therefore creating massive weakness. Emily received two shots, and that shut down her body's ability to process glucose. The brain feeds on glucose, so right now she's on what we would call a diabetic coma."
She paused, her eyes now on the girl laying on the bed. "Emily had previously taken a shot before this happened." Layla looked at David and Trizen before her smile disappeared. "You two do remember the day Emily lost the title of School Captain, right? I had been ordered to test it out on a student on 259, and it so happened that I found her a viable target. As soon as it was declared effective, I resigned from said organization and left for San Francisco. Three doses at a span of less than a year is really lethal, I am afraid."
The woman looked away from the teenagers in the room, slight shame in her own creation in her eyes. "I refused an offer from them to return and do more research for their cause, and they are now taking things into their own hands." She said. It was a little white lie, but it would suffice. That was all they needed to know. "I cannot tell you any further though, there are things obvious enough around you that will show you who the culprit really is."
"I have a few questions."
"Then ask away, ...Miss Black."
"But not here, perhaps...Doctor." Delilah said, before giving her an envelope. Layla took it and stared at it for a moment. What was this? "For your eyes only."
Layla smiled and gave a brief nod as Delilah then walked away from the room. David then tried to stop her, probably failing as he came back empty-handed. "Whats in the envelope, Doctor?"
"What I've been told not to disclose, I shall keep to myself." was her blunt reply - still smiling.

Ryuu blushed slightly at Dr. Clavering's words, but all the same, nodded his head. ["Yes..."] He said quietly, ["I love and care for her deeply, and I won't let anyone else hurt her, not as long as I am still alive and breathing..."] But before Dr. Clavering could even answer, a girl came storming in, shouting at all of them like they were the bad guys. Ryuu could hear the concern mingled with the irritation in her voice, but all the same, Ryuu kept calm, never leaving Emily's side. He saw Dr. Clavering place a hand on the girl's shoulder, smiling like she was the happiest person on Earth, as she told her that all of them understood what she felt completely, and she will answer, but she wouldn't tell them everything, after all, the walls could have ears. "Just tell us what you're comfortable with saying Dr. Clavering," Ryuu said quietly, "We'll find out the rest if we have to." Ryuu's eyes flashed in mild surprise as Dr. Clavering pulled off the wig she wore, revealing short, wavy blond hair.
Ryuu never knew she wore a wig, he just assumed what he saw, was her natural hair. Ryuu stayed silent through Dr. Clavering's entire explanation, not out of anger, but out of respect. She was his sensei, his teacher, and demanded a great deal of respect from him. Emily...You took not one, not two, but three shots in this one year... Now more than ever, I will find the person that did this to you, I swear I will. Ryuu gently squeezed Dr. Clavering's shoulder comfortingly once more, as he gave her a sympathetic look. "That is all we need to know. Thank you Dr. Clavering. We'll discover the rest ourselves." Ryuu then turned at the sound of a voice issuing from behind him, and at first did not recognize who it was, until he heard Dr. Clavering acknowledge the person as Ms. Black. Delilah. She then handed Dr. Clavering an envelope, and while Ryuu wondered what was inside it, he remembered to mind his own business.
His gaze followed Delilah as she walked out of the room, as he saw David try to stop her, but did not succeed, for he came back empty-handed, as he then asked Dr. Clavering what was inside the envelop, as she replied that was she had been told not to disclose, she would keep to herself. Fair enough. Ryuu did not like to pry into other people's affairs, if they wanted to tell him, that was their choice, what they didn't want to say, was their own, and only their own. Ryuu stood beside Emily's bed, as his left arm stretched out, and he gently took Emily's hand into his own, holding it comfortingly, not caring about the fact that Gabriel, Trizen, David, and a girl he didn't know were in the room as well, he loved Emily, and would not leave her side, no matter what. "You've already told us enough information Dr. Clavering," Ryuu said quietly, determination in his voice, "And for that, I am grateful. I will find out the rest and fill in the missing gaps. I won't let who did this to Emily, get away with it. I swear."
