Darkness and Light (Emily/Open)

Emily nodded. At least, Ryuu would be the least of her problems right now. Things with Gabriel already complicates things more than they should've. Oh, what Emily would give to have "Unfettered" here in San Francisco soon. He probably would know what to do with this mess. "It's settled then."

Emily then yawned, causing her to stretch her arms upwards. Yup, she had been up all night taking care of sick people. A rather tasking job but something she wouldn't really learn to hate. She appreciated taking care of people more than anything else. It was basically a vent of a love that she could never express, and retribution for the sins she had made. "Yeah, I think I should. Mind if I sleep here?" Emily said, partially mumbling as she decided to lay her head against her arms on the bed, her face facing the monitor like before. "See you in the morning. Wake me up if you need... anything."

Then, she fell asleep. Man, was she tired.

"Right." He agreed, nodding his head slightly at her. At least their friendship was one thing Ryuu wouldn't have to worry about. There were other things far more important at hand right now, the situation with Gabriel being the biggest one. It made the situation much more complicated than needed. Ryuu smiled slightly as he saw Emily yawn, causing her to stretch her arms above her head, as she agreed with him and asked, well, more like partially mumbled if he mind that she slept here. "Of course not," Ryuu replied quietly, partly because Emily looked like she was going to pass out any moment now, "Go right ahead. What's mine is yours. In this case, the bed is temporarily mine... Until I'm discharged." The smile still on his face as he saw Emily lay her head on her arms on his bed, facing the monitor.

That's right, he remembered her telling him she had been up all night looking after patients. Naturally, she'd be exhausted. "See you in the morning. Wake me up if you need... anything." And she was out like a light, just like that. "Good night Emily..." Ryuu said quietly, smiling at her, before closing his own eyes. He very much doubted he'd need anything, well, except for her keeping him company during his stay in the hospital. And just like that, he was asleep too. Interestingly enough, as he slept, his left arm had shifted, his hand touching Emily's hand once more. Of course, he was unaware of this, but you could say it was a small subtle indication that the promise he had made to her, was already starting to become hard to keep.
