What Goes Around... (Kate)

She was loyal if nothing else, right? Adrian was hers, even if a dark haired Russian was creating seeds of doubt. Of course Kate had Adrian back. He hadn't run off because he wanted to, or found someone else, or didn't care about her. He had disappeared because dear ole Daddy Hanlon didn't approve of his ways of life. And if Adrian thought living on his own was fun, well, living with Kate was going to be better.

And very little of it would Daddy Hanlon approve of.

She hugged Adrian back, tighter than ever. Almost too tight, of course. More often than not the blonde forgot that she was a bit stronger then the young Hanlon in her arms.

"Do you want a shower and a change of clothing darling? I'm sure some of Swan's extra suits would fit you pretty well until we can go shopping."

Adrian had his self a sugah momma. She'd be buying him all sorts of goodies. Mostly to stick it in his father's face, and mostly because she wanted to give him things.

Adrian felt the squeeze tighten, squishing his guts a little, and he had to remind himself to get stronger. Not only did he need to in order to keep up with the rest of the fighters in this school, but it seemed he would also need to in order to keep up with Kate. Adrian had a flash of the two of them in the bedroom, and Kate, forgetting self-control in the heat of the moment, breaking something, and just barely managed to repress a shudder.

At her offering of a shower and a change of clothes, Adrian paused, thinking about it. She was serious about this. Here she was, honestly offering the boy a place to stay, clothes to wear, and a bath. He could have honestly, at that point, swept her off her feet and told he loved her then and there, and never thought anything of it.

"I'd like that. That is, if Swan doesn't mind," he added, looking around for the bodyguard, but not seeing him anywhere in the immediate vicinity. Those guys were really good at disappearing when they needed to. Adrian's arms wrapped around Kate again, leaning his forehead against hers lovingly. "You're amazing."

He would then lift his head, and look down the hallway, trying to remember if he knew at all where the bathroom even was. His brow furrowed a little in thought, and Kate, if she looked up at his face, would likely see his thought process written all over his face.

Kate chuckled, smirking just a bit. There were a billion bathrooms in this place. Alright, maybe that was a bit more than there really was, but there were indeed, more than enough bathrooms for the few people who lived there. In fact, Kate could have probably housed triple the number just fine without people complaining about space. Or even more. That was a lot for an apartment.

"Pick your poison Adrian. There's a wall to wall shower in the bedroom on your right, a regular tub and shower on the one on the left, or in my room there is a sink in tub in my bathroom. Your choice darling. I'll bring you your clothing."

Swan wouldn't mind in the least bit, because Kate also bought the boys' work outfits. They were hers of course, in the long run. The blonde flashed a smile and kissed his cheek softly. Her heart fluttered. Adrian was the one she wanted to be with, needed to be with. She trusted him, if a little edgy like at the moment.

Kate read the boy's mind, or maybe just his face, and described the various washrooms in the apartment. Adrian hadn't realized this before, and his eyebrows raised in surprise. It wasn't so much that he didn't expect Kate to have at least three bathrooms in one apartment, it was simply that he was looking down the hall for a singular one. Hearing there were three made him feel like a dope. He probably could have walked down the hall and ran into one on accident.

"Oh, uhh," Adrian paused, unready to have to make a decision as seemingly insignificant as which bathroom to shower in. "Eeny meeny miney... oh fuck it," Adrian cut himself off, laughing. "I'll take the left bathroom."

He shrugged as he released the girl, but not before placing a quick, soft kiss on her lips. He made his way to the bathroom, stripping his workout clothes, leaving the door open and opting instead to cover himself with the shower curtain, draping it around the tub as he turned on the warm water. His hand went to the shower latch, but hesitated. Today, he'd take a bath. Lord knows he needed some time to relax.

He'd finally been given some, after all.
