When Past Becomes Present (Li, Olivia)

[Alexis Green]

Alexis had a smile that had been permanently plastered on her small face. It was already warmer than Alaska and she felt a huge weight being lifted from her shoulders. Prison schools are so not her type. Alexis sat a box down in the living room floor near their couch. She never would have thought she would actually be a girl friend and live with the boy friend. Li just had that effect on her. She could only assume she was in love with him, which is weird. How does one find love at such a young age? That and she could be completely stupid ‘cause after all… who finds their true love at the age of 17? Well, hopefully Alexis.

Lexie was wearing green boarding shorts with graphic designs on them with a matching green bikini top. She was pretty hot from moving all their stuff into their new place and the San Francisco heat was not helping.

“Babe? Wanna take a break?” Alexis walked back to her new found car and grabbed two bottle of pop from the cup holders (from when she drove up town earlier). When I say new found car, I mean stole. It was a green punch buggy convertible. The convertible part seemed convenient for a hot place, so she conned some guy for it. Of course she didn’t tell Li she stole it.

She walked back into the condo and kicked off her black flip flops. She slumped down onto the couch and set the two bottles on the coffee table. It was nice having all the extra stuff like a couch and a coffee table in her living space. The dorms at Point Hope didn’t have enough room. She tied her long hair back into a pony tail and leaned back in her chair. With her hand, she fanned her face.

“Join me on the couch or I will hurt you.” she threatened Li with a smile and a giggle that followed. Lexis scanned the room full of many boxes piled onto each other. Some had been emptied to unpack, some were still full. Packing is fun! *rolls eyes*

Li carefully placed two boxes stacked on top of each other down on the floor of living room, before straightening up, and wiping the sweat from his forehead, and it wasn't just from the heavy boxes and the warm San Francisco heat. Li wasn't used to the fact that he was no longer in Alaska, but he wasn't complaining. He never thought that he would be a boyfriend and live with his girlfriend, but that was the present. Li knew he cared deeply for Alexis, despite the bad stuff she did, but he never thought he'd been in love with her. Strange huh? To be in love when he was only 18. Either that, or he was completely brain-dead, but if he was brain-dead, he wouldn't be alive, now would he? Walking back outside, Li carefully hefted the last two boxes that held their stuff inside, as he walked back inside the house, his sandals clacking against the ground. He was wearing a plain black tank top, black long shorts with a black vertical strip on both sides, as a bead of sweat ran down his left cheek before dripping off his face and landing on his arm. Placing the boxes down, Li breathed a sigh of relief, sweat clearly visible on his face.

“Babe? Wanna take a break?” Li looked up and over at Alexis, as he saw her walk outside to her new found car before coming back in with two bottles of pop in her hands. Li had absolutely no idea she had stolen the green punch buggy convertible by conning some guy, and even if he did, he wouldn't care, being a thief himself, but it was mostly because he didn't care what bad stuff Alexis did, he would always stay with her, no matter what. As soon as she walked back into the condo, he saw her kick off her black flip flops as she slumped down on the couch, placing the two bottles of pop on coffee table. When Li had bought the beach front condo for the both of them to live in, he had spared no expense, and bought the best place he could afford, which was saying a lot, seeing as his family was filthy rich. Since Li was the only son and 18, he now had access to his father's money, and Li had used it only this one time, he would never touch it again.

"I'm fine, you take a break, I'll start unpacking." Li replied, as he lifted two boxes up and headed into the bedroom, before placing the boxes down and pulled out his black switchblade and flicked it open, cutting into the top of the box, and opened the top of the box, he would sort his clothes out later. He walked back into the living room and saw Alexis tie her long hair back into a ponytail and lean back in the chair as she fanned herself with her hand. “Join me on the couch or I will hurt you.” Li had bent down, about to pick the box up, as he looked over at Alexis, he slowly raised one eyebrow as he straightened up. "Are you threatening me?" He asked teasingly, smirking slightly as he heard her giggle before scanning around the room, some boxes had been emptied, some were still full. Li stretched his arms above his head as the sunlight shined through the windows, the scar on his upper left arm very much visible, as he crashed on the couch beside Alexis. He then wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close to him. "And what would've you done if I didn't join you?" He asked, whispering softly in her ear, as he smirked slightly. Unpacking could always wait, it's not like they had anywhere to go.

"Are you threatening me?" Alexis' brows went serious after she giggled.

"Damn straights, I am!" then again she smiled waiting for him to sitt down. He did, then with an arm, pulled her closer to him. Alexis was extremely happy to be here, and with the only person who could actually stand her.

"And what would've you done if I didn't join you?" he whispered into her ear and she smiled, somewhat biting her tongue. Her face turned to his, which was considerabley close, seeing as how he just whispered in her ear.

"I would have to punish you, 'cause you would be disobeying me like a naughty boy." she pressed a soft kiss to his lips and parted with the feeling of it still lingering. Her hand slipped to his thigh and she started rubbing his lap. "We really need to set up the bed soon..."

Yes, Alexis has changed from being a girl who is ho to every hot boy she sees to being just a ho for Li. Being in a new place was exciting her. If anything were to annoy her at this moment it would be a complete downer. Her lips reached his neck and she started pressing little kisses up to his ear. "I hope our neighbors don't want to bring us brownies..." she whispered, trying to hint at where she was going with this conversation.

"Damn straights, I am!" Li's smirk widened as he saw Alexis go serious before smiling, waiting for him to sit down. Abandoning the box he had been planning to lift up, he crashed down on the couch beside her, and wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close to him, as he whispered in her ear asking her what would've she done if he didn't join her, the smirk still on his face. He saw her smile from the corner of his eye, as he saw her turn her face to his, their faces were considerably close, since he had just whispered in her ear after all. "I would have to punish you, 'cause you would be disobeying me like a naughty boy." She then pressed a soft kiss to his lips before they parted, the feeling still linger on his lips. "Naughty boy huh? Heh, if you say so." He replied, as he then felt her hand slip to his thigh and start rubbing his lap.

"We really need to set up the bed soon..."

Yeah, Alexis had changed from being a ho to every hot guy she saw to being just a ho for him. "Don't worry about the bed, I'll get it set up for you." He then felt her lips reach his neck as she started to press little kisses up to his ear. "I hope our neighbors don't want to bring us brownies..." Li smirked at the hint she was giving him, as he pulled her even closer to him. "If they bring us brownies, I'll lock the gate before they even manage to step out of their house, and then it'll be just you and me." He whispered back in her ear, as he then kissed her neck, their bodies were so close, Alexis would be able to feel Li's muscles through his tank top, even though it was somewhat loose on him. He kind of hoped their neighbors in fact, did not come, though if they did, Li wouldn't necessarily turn them away. Say what you will, Li may be sarcastic, but he was in fact, kind-hearted, he just didn't show it a lot of the time. "I think I'll get the bed set up for us, after all, I don't feel like sleeping on the couch tonight," He said, as he started to get up from the couch slowly, "If you need anything, just give me a call."

Olivia had made some calls and found out dear ol' sister lived in a condo down by the beach. She went to a couple places with her bag slung around her shoulder. Some of the manager's told her the truth about know one by the name of Alexis was living in their residents, others turned her down for looking like a beat-up free loader.

Olivia called an operator and found out Alexis' cell, but no one was answering it. It excited her to hear her sister's voice on the voice mail though. She was getting close.

She approached a nice looking condo.... very expensive looking. Alexis might have gotten into stealing money again. Olivia wouldn't doubt it. Alexis made millions in only a couple years.

Livi made a low whistle sound as she entered. She knocked on the land lord's door. He answered and he seemed somewhat hesitant when his eyes fell upon the broken face of the skinny little blond.

"Hello, does anyone by the name of Alexis Green live here?" hopefully he is one of those nice guys.

"Yeah, but I can't give out which room they are in."

Shit!

"Thank you, sir..." she said in a quiet voice and waited for him to close the door. She was this close to finding her sister. it has been a couple years since she has visited her. Alexis was always on her mind. Once the door closed she turn and ran into the area, knocking on everyone's door. So far, no luck. Then one room stood out from the rest. There were a crap load of empty boxes just outside. A smile spread on her face, but went slack after it reopened the cut, she ran to the door.

He brought her closer and now she could feel the shape of his muscles from beneath his shirt. She kissed him hungerly and was at the ready of taking off his shirt. San Francisco's heat wasn't the only source of making her hot right now. She wanted more.

"I think I'll get the bed set up for us, after all, I don't feel like sleeping on the couch tonight," he said as he slowly got off the couch

"If you need anything, just give me a call." she tugged on his arm again so he would fall back where he sat. This time she sat herself on his lap.

"When I said 'We really need to set up the bed soon...' I really did mean soon...not now... and call if I need something? Li....I need you right now... so stay like a good boy." she gave him a kiss again. Yes, she will get some. NOTHING SHALL STOP HER

"Li..." she glared at him. "Don't you dare open that door.. 'cause if it is our new neighbours... you wont want them to hate us do you...'cause, quite frankly, if you answer that door. The moment Li pulled Alexis closer to him, she kissed him hungrily, and it seemed she was ready to pull his shirt off. It wasn't just the heat making the both of them hot it seemed. She wanted more, but Li had other things on his mind right now, like getting their bed set up. As he slowly stood up, getting off the couch, he felt her tug on his arm, as he fell back where he had sat, staring at her blankly as he saw her sit on his lap, effectively preventing him from standing up again. "When I said 'We really need to set up the bed soon...' I really did mean soon...not now... and call if I need something? Li....I need you right now... so stay like a good boy." She then kissed him again, as he kissed her back, she really wanted some, and Li was more than willing to give it to her, except the sound of knocking stopped him... Or did it save him? Nope, it stopped him. Li tended to give Alexis what she wanted, no questions asked, as he pulled away. "Li..." He saw her glare at him, as he brought his hands up like a gun was being jammed into his back.

"Don't you dare open that door... 'Cause if it is our new neighbors... You won't want them to hate us do you...'Cause, quite frankly, if you answer that door. I will shove their brownies so far up their ass they will burp up cookie dough." Li grinned slightly, as he stretched his hand out and took a hold on her chin. "You get grumpy when you're denied sex," He replied, raising an eyebrow, "And if I don't answer the door, they'll think we're a bunch of rude as hell teenagers." Not waiting for a reply, Li would slip his arm under Alexis' legs, and stand up, lifting her up bridal style, his powerful and muscular arms easily carrying her, before he placed her down on the couch. He then walked to the door, but stopped before opening it. "C'mon Alexis, don't be like that. If it's the neighbors, we'll say hi, say we have an appointment soon, take whatever it is they're giving, and then say bye, and then get back to our regularly scheduled program." Li then opened the door, expecting to hear voices. What he wasn't expecting, was to hear nothing.

He looked around, and then down, and saw a girl standing at the door, as he easily towered over her. Why is it no matter where he went, he always towered over the girls? "... May I help you?" He asked, as he bent down slightly, now the same height as the girl, he finally managed to get a good look at her face, as his eyes flashed briefly in shock. He then straightened up, and looked behind him, he wasn't hallucinating, Alexis was on the couch where he left her. He then looked back at the girl in front of him, was he seeing double!? "... You might want to come here..." He called back to Alexis, as he stared blankly at the girl, although she had blond hair, she looked exactly like Alexis. "..." Well, this was... unexpected.

His hand cupped her chin as he spoke "You get grumpy when you're denied sex," she made her lips into a pout and she looked at him with puppy dog eyes.

"Maybe..."

"And if I don't answer the door, they'll think we're a bunch of rude as hell teenagers." He picked her up and set her back on the couch.. "C'mon Alexis, don't be like that. If it's the neighbors, we'll say hi, say we have an appointment soon, take whatever it is they're giving, and then day bye, and then get back to our regularly scheduled program." she smiled and nodded her head but still she made a comment.

"Boo you ho!" She watched as he went and open the door. There was a blonde girl at the door. She couldn't tell who it was... maybe 'cause it was some blond ho neighbour. Great, hopefully Li doesn't have an affair with the girl next door.

"... May I help you?" Alexis smiled when he bent down a little to reach her level. He always did that. It made her feel more equal. He bent back up and looked back at Alexis... he seemed a little, what is a good word for it? Confused."... You might want to come here..."

Wow, he was acting like this girl at the door was a circus freak. Alexis sighed and got up. She wasn't interested in meeting some neigh---

"Holy shit...." She never thought she would see that face again without looking in a mirror....

She waited awhile and was about to knock again when the door opened. A Japanese guy answered the door. Damn, wrong condo!

"... May I help you?" he managed to make himself her height. She wasn't sure if it was a sign of disrespect or respect. Then a look of concern came across his face once he fully looked at her.

"... You might want to come here..." panic flashed in her eyes. What was on her face? A scary bug no one has ever discovered before? He seemed really confused and it was really scary. Then she realized... It could be all the bruises and cuts on her face. To this guy, she was a freak, and he wanted to show his friend.

Her green eyes glanced into their home and she saw a girl on the couch with black hair and green clothes. She got up when he called for her and she reached the door.

"Holy shit...." Livi couldn't believe it. After what? Three years, she finally finds her twin! Though right now they didn't look a like. When they both had more meat on their bones they looked more identical...like what they were supposed to be "Identical" twins. Now Alexis had an unmarred face. She was beautiful. She was still one inch shorter and they both shared many similarities, besides the fact Olivia dyed her hair blonde.

Is this what she would look like after being three years away from an abusive relationship with her parents? Oh...parents... how was she going to break it to Alexis that their dad is dead?

"Alexis! Oh, I missed you!" she flung her arms around her, though she wasn't much of a hugger. Physical contact is a no no. "I'm so glad I found you!"

Li couldn't help but laugh quietly when he saw Alexis pout her lips and look at him with puppy dog eyes. "Maybe..." Maybe my ass. But Li knew Alexis better than anyone else, and let's face it, he was the only one who could stand her shenanigans. He then lifted her up, and placed her back on the couch, as he headed to the door, telling her she'll get some after all this. He saw her smile and nod her head, but it still didn't stop her from injecting a comment. "Boo you ho!" "Nuh uh, you're the ho." He replied back teasingly, as he opened the door, and saw a blond girl standing in front of him, as he bent down so he was the same height as her, he always did that, so that people wouldn't have to crane their necks to look up at him. Once he got a good look at the girl, who looked concerned when a look of confusion appeared on his face, as he looked back at Alexis, he thought he was seeing double. He then asked Alexis to come over, for a good reason! He saw panic appear in the girl's eyes when he looked at her, it wasn't the scars or bruises on her face that confused him, he saw her look past him into the condo.

He then looked back at Alexis and saw her sigh and get up, but once she got to the door, he saw her stop in her tracks, just as stunned as he was. "Holy shit...." "I'll say..." Li muttered quietly, as he folded his arms across his chest. "Alexis! Oh, I missed you!" "Whoa!" Li exclaimed before he was pushed aside as the blond girl flung her arms around Alexis, hugging her. Li just kind of stood there, blinking at Alexis, he guessed that the girl was either: 1. Alexis twin sister or 2. Her cousin. Li however, was willing to bet it was the first option. "I'm so glad I found you!" Li continued to stare at Alexis, before shrugging his shoulders casually at her, and just turned around, staring off into empty space, his hands now in his pockets. The two of them looked identical, save for the fact Alexis' face was unmarred, and she was about an inch shorter than her sister. If this was a reunion, Li would for the most part, keep his mouth shut, only speaking if he was spoken to.

She couldn't believe it. When the girl saw her she got excited and even said her name. She flung her arms around Alexis and all she did in return was just stand there. It couldn't be... Her sister was back in Canada. Without word for like what? Three years? And she shows up at her door.

Her eyes glanced up at Li for a saviour, but he turned around, shoving his hands into his pockets. She wasn't a fan of her past so she also forgot to mention to Li she had an Identical twin sister. Which is pretty weird, how does one forget to mention there are two of themselves?

"Um...Hi Livi.... It has been awhile..." she sort of shoved her off. A little harsh after seeing her sister from all this time, but Alexis had the tendancy of being harsh to other girls.

"Um..Li... This is my Twin...Olivia..." she looked at her sister and sighed. "Olivia... This is my boyfriend Li..."

Olivia was the last person she wanted to see.. let alone seeing her with all those marks on her face. It made her remember her life back home... it also reminded her of how shitty of a sister she was for abandoning Olivia like that. It was like the both of them were puppies. Alexis was brought to a better home, while Olivia stayed back with abusive owners. Alexis felt like crap, and now since she felt like crap it was total bitch mode. The bad habit of trying not to keep close with someone.

Olivia deserved a sister that is more than Alexis.

Olivia was forced off her sister. The fact that she pushed her hurt more than the fact that she sent a shock of pain up her rib cage. She still had been sore from the unfateful night.

"Um...Hi Livi.... It has been awhile..."

"Um..Li... This is my Twin...Olivia..." Olivia looked at the tall boy who opened the door, but was interrupted when her sister sighed. Livi was getting the feeling she was unwanted. Sadly, she actually had hope her sister wanted her... It was nice to have that feeling of being wanted for once, now it was hurting more than ever once she is slowly discovering her sister's dark side. "Olivia... This is my boyfriend Li..."

She gave him a timid smile. She never thought Alexis would have a boyfriend. Back when they were fourteen guys seemed to be interested in her, but she showed no interest in them. Alexis did that, she was a bitch to just about everyone. "Hi... I'm Olivia." her green eyes mirrored Alexis' as Livi stood in puzzlement. "I gave you a call... but you didn't answer your phone... but... Do you know anywhere I can get a job.. I don't have a lot of money so I need a job to be able to keep up a hotel room or something..." She fixed Alexis' bikini strap and returned to what she was saying. "Or do you know a cheap motel somewhere...I just arrived and have no clue.." she was hoping after all these years, Alexis would at least help her out with finding a job.

Li saw from the corner of his eyes Alexis glance at him, like he was her savior, but Li, as much as he wanted to save her, didn't know what he could do, seeing as the girl was latched onto Alexis like her life depended on it. "Um...Hi Livi.... It has been awhile..." Li then turned around, sick of staring into empty space, and saw Alexis shove her sister off. A bit harsh, as Li folded his arms across his chest once more, unwittingly flexing his muscular arms. "Too long, man you look different...I'm jealous..." Li just kind of looked back and forth between the conversation, like he was watching a tennis match. He saw Olivia smile, even though it was kind of obvious, Alexis didn't want to keep hugging her. "Um..Li... This is my Twin...Olivia..." Li saw Olivia look at him, as he nodded at her slightly, but then heard Alexis sigh as he saw her look at her sister, "Olivia... This is my boyfriend Li..." Li smiled kindly at Olivia when she gave him a timid smile, "You know, I don't bite," Li said jokingly, "Only if you want me to." That part was directed at Alexis.

"Hi... I'm Olivia." Li could see her green eyes mirrored Alexis'. They really were twins. "I gave you a call... but you didn't answer your phone... but... Do you know anywhere I can get a job.. I don't have a lot of money so I need a job to be able to keep up a hotel room or something..." Li saw her fix Alexis' bikini strap and then continue speaking. "Or do you know a cheap motel somewhere...I just arrived and have no clue.." Okay, time out. A hotel or cheap motel room? Now while Li was slightly surprised that Alexis had a twin sister, only finding this part out NOW, the fact was, Li, for all his sarcastic quips, had a good heart deep down. "Alexis, can I talk to you?" Li would then gently take her hand, before leading her into their bedroom. He would then close the door, still holding her hand. "I can't let your sister live in a hotel room. We have a extra room here, why not let her stay here with us?" Li bent down so he was the same height with her, still holding her hand, as he looked into her eyes. "I don't mind if she stays here, although I'm pretty sure you beg to differ, and rather not have her here, but you saw how bad shape she's in, she'd be eaten alive out there in a hotel." Li knew Alexis better than anyone, and knew her one weakness... well besides him obviously.

"And if you don't let her stay with us, no SEX for a week. You can beg me all you want, but I won't give in." Li continued to stay bent down, smirking slightly. "Well my dear, what is your decision?" And Li was serious, if Alexis didn't let Olivia stay, he really wouldn't do it for a week. He could stand it, but could Alexis? Not in this lifetime!

"Alexis, can I talk to you?" Li took her hand and brought her to a room. He closed the door behind himself.. not a good sign at all... "I can't let your sister live in a hotel room. We have a extra room here, why not let her stay here with us?" Li did his famous Equilibrium stance while his hand still held onto hers. "I don't mind if she stays here, although I'm pretty sure you beg to differ, and rather not have her here, but you saw how bad shape she's in, she'd be eaten alive out there in a hotel." her face went serious and blank.

"No...mm mm... nuh uh... no way." she shook her head. She didn't want the girl living with her. Olivia grew up a loner, the girl needed to learn how to do things on her own... besides.. alexis couldn't stand looking at the poor girl's face. "Would you want your twin living in your home with me?" Alexis would pay for Olivia's hotel room herself. Alexis managed to have some stashes of cash. Once a theif always a theif.

There is no chance in hell Olivia will live with them.

"And if you don't let her stay with us, no SEX for a week. You can beg me all you want, but I won't give in." he had a cruel smirk on his face and Alexis' jaw dropped as her brows furrowed. Not fair! "Well my dear, what is your decision?" Alexis knew damn well Li ment it. He was a stubborn sucker. Why did he care so much about Livi.. she would be only an annoyance.

"I will go get her some blankets..." she gave Li a quick peck and then her face fell to a grave expression, "You owe me." She turned and opened the door. She looked in a closet where she unpacked some towels and blankets and pulled out a fresh clean pillow and a white blanket.

"Olivia... You are staying with us, because you would die out in the real world with your pathetic set of morals." Livi was her live cock block... damn her cyptonite! "We have a spare room.. so absolutely no imposision at all." lying to her sister already.

Before Alexis had the chance to answer Li asked to speak with her. They both left Olivia standing near the entrance. She heard the door close and some muffled conversations from behind.

Olivia didn't want to be rude and make herself at home so she stood at the door and kept hold of her bag. Her legs were killing her from walking around all day in search for Alexis. She was hoping for a better reaction from her long lost sister, but she supposed Alexis wasn't the sentimental type?

After awhile of waiting she heard the door open and heard a closet door open. Alexis came into veiw with folded blankets and a pillow with an obviously irritated expression.

"Olivia... You are staying with us, because you would die out in the real world with your pathetic set of morals." she tried not to cringe from the harsh words coming from her own flesh and blood. They hardly knew each other, let alone eachother's morals. "We have a spare room.. so absolutely no imposision at all." the words coming from her mouth were bleak and unsincere.

"Um...I don't think that is necessary... I could just find a place and lock the doors at night..." they both didn't want her here. They would rather have the place to themselves, who wouldn't? Olivia didn't want to be an annoyance to the both of them, "I've survived seventeen years already." she said with a smile, but again she went back to a relaxed face, because smiling reopened the cuts on her lip.
