"Stronger together than apart; I agree. However... I have a few questions."
Rem arched an eyebrow and folded his arms, nodding for her to continue.
"First and foremost, I'd like to know why you're assuming leadership. Does "Unfettered" know about this?"
Rem sighed, putting a hand on his forehead in frustration. Always infatuated with her German crush. She'd most likely never let it go. He'd have to nip this in the bud.
"I don't owe you anything, much less an explanation. I said I am the leader. Unfettered isn't. His input has no bearing."
He glared at her through his specs, the rest of his face a scowl.
"I know you're worried about him. If you must inquire about him, do it on your own time, in your own forum."
He ignored the next statement, having judged that his previous statement covered it well. His face regained its calm, focused demeanor as she made her third comment.
"Anyways, I think if we're to do that it should be for training purposes. We train with someone we're not familiar with in the group... ah... and have the partner rotated every now and then."
Rem's lips curved into a simple smile and he looked from Emily to Gabriel and back.
"What else did you think I had in mind? Exactly that. I'm sorry, I assumed you would have inferred as such from my statement. I should have explained in more detail."

"I agree with Emily, and you, Rem.."
She said, testing out his name on her tongue, saying it a little bit slower.
"As far as this whole buddy thing goes, cool... I'm sorry but you're really going to have to fill me in on this, I only got the brief 411 before leaving Long Beach."
Olesya shrugged, leaning back in her chair so that it was on two feet, her knees holding her in place from under the table. She was going to ask about Jon too, but since Emily had already done it, she wasn't going to beat a dead horse. The idea of getting to know the other gang members was good though, because she only knew Emily and possibly David if he was still taking up the offer. The other boys at the table, she didn't have a clue.
"I don't owe you anything, much less an explanation. I said I am the leader. Unfettered isn't. His input has no bearing. I know you're worried about him. If you must inquire about him, do it on your own time, in your own forum."
Um? Olesya quirked an eyebrow at this leader boy, unsure of what to think of him. Certainly she didn't know him that well and shouldn't be so quick to judge, but she didn't exactly like his tone with Emily. He was acting kind of authoritarian in saying 'I am the leader and that's final. rah rah rah.'
Whatever.
She would keep silent for now, waiting for her inquiries to be answered.

"I don't owe you anything, much less an explanation. I said I am the leader. Unfettered isn't. His input has no bearing."
No bearing? No bearing?! Was that seriously what he was insinuating? The militia wasn’t a group made to intensify the individual’s needs, that is the goal Unfettered had set out to accomplish, he wanted an equilibrium a safe haven for the weak, he had every right to suggest a new head.
He is the leader? Oh powerful and merciful Rem is that what he wanted? The power of a gang under his own command. That was not Militia’s purpose, there were no leaders, even when Unfettered ran the organization as a whole it had no pillarship. There was no contestation of rank. Everyone had equal say, everyone had the right to question to leave and go as they pleased. Rem was changing things, Gabriel certainly did not approve. He was dead now, things had changed this school this new place had altered the course of their goals. Gabriel was now beginning to see what must be done to keep Unfettered’s dream alive.
"What else did you think I had in mind? Exactly that. I'm sorry, I assumed you would have inferred as such from my statement. I should have explained in more detail."
Gabriel went dark, the light in his eyes faded. He turned about face and started walking away, there would be no I in the new rule not if they expected to win by those morals. And if Gabriel was to follow through with these plans, he’d have to turn his back on the Militia, things were going to change and he’d have to stir the course.
“Those who still believe in a united system, I suggest you come with me, I’ve had enough of this power feast…” Gabriel said loud enough to be heard before he walked out of the library, if any where to follow he’d fill them in soon. Unfettered’s dream would not go unlived.

"I agree with Emily, and you, Rem... As far as this whole buddy thing goes, cool... I'm sorry but you're really going to have to fill me in on this, I only got the brief 411 before leaving Long Beach."
"Alright, fair enough."
Before he could continue, though, Gabriel opened his mouth to speak.
"Those who still believe in a united system, I suggest you come with me, I’ve had enough of this power feast…"
Rem couldn't help but smile and let out a laugh.
"I would admit that I'm...more or less disorganized at the moment. So, if there are any who don't agree with what I'm saying. Please, feel free to leave. However..."
His eyes went to Gabriel with a hint of malice.
"Would you really follow someone as ignorant as Mr. Seran over there. Either ignorant, or deaf, it seems. My attitude is my own, you can either like me or don't like me, however, I have been nothing but straightforward and honest with you all. Since when have I hinted that I wanted this to be a one man show..."
His voice rose an octave and darkened in tone, as his facial expression crinkled in anger for the first time.
"So, what have I been talking about all this time? Unification? Do you even know what that word means? If you did, you'd realize that what I'm discussing is just that."
His face softened and he sighed, once again facing the others.
"By all means, if you disagree with my methods you are free to leave. I'd wish for you to stay, but if it must be it must be. However it is only my hope that you all here are logical enough not to be led by ignorance."
With that, silence. Rem stared Gabriel down with the ferocity of a lion as though he were the devil himself.
"Mr. Seran. You should listen before you cast judgement. If you must let your ignorance run rampant, do it somewhere else. However. I know right now. I can't do it without your help. Thus, I will ask you again. Please listen before you cast judgement."
In his rage, his glasses had shifted. Sighing, he removed them, wiped them idly on his shirt and then replaced them, He took a deep breath and then gave them all a rather humbled smile.
"I apologize... I lost my temper... "

Riley, for the most part, had stayed completely silent throughout the entire time, not because he was confused, but because he, for the most part, had nothing much to say. "I agree with what Emily says," Riley said quietly, finally speaking after staying silent for so long, "As for the buddy system, I have no objections to it. I was once part of an organization, and I more or less understand what you're getting at Rem." Truth be told, Riley only knew that he was part of a gang called Visions, and he had the codename Phantom, but beyond that, he knew nothing else. "I agree with Emily, and you, Rem... As far as this whole buddy thing goes, cool... I'm sorry but you're really going to have to fill me in on this, I only got the brief 411 before leaving Long Beach." "Alright, fair enough." But before anything could be said, the other guy spoke. "Those who still believe in a united system, I suggest you come with me, I’ve had enough of this power feast..." Riley saw Rem smile and let out a laugh.
"I would admit that I'm...more or less disorganized at the moment. So, if there are any who don't agree with what I'm saying. Please, feel free to leave. However... Would you really follow someone as ignorant as Mr. Seran over there. Either ignorant, or deaf, it seems. My attitude is my own, you can either like me or don't like me, however, I have been nothing but straightforward and honest with you all. Since when have I hinted that I wanted this to be a one man show..."
Riley saw Rem's face turn into one of anger, as Riley calmly continued to watch. "So, what have I been talking about all this time? Unification? Do you even know what that word means? If you did, you'd realize that what I'm discussing is just that. By all means, if you disagree with my methods you are free to leave. I'd wish for you to stay, but if it must be it must be. Riley heard Rem sigh as he removed his glasses and wiped them on his shirt and then placed it back on, before taking a deep breath and gave them a humble smile. "I apologize... I lost my temper... " "Apologies are not necessary..." Riley said in a low voice. "I myself, do not know enough about Militia, to understand what it is you want to achieve." Which was true, Riley did not have enough knowledge to understand what it was they wanted to do.
"But I do know this much. United we stand, divided we fall. It may not seem like it, but everyone single one of us, need each other right now. As it stands, the transfers have a immense target on their back, and the natives here will not hesitate to exploit that. To stay united, we have to make sure that everyone of us, treats the other as an equal."

The white-haired girl grabbed Gabriel by his shirt and looked at him, shaking her head. No. Please don't leave. Gabriel was an important asset to Militia, and God what "Unfettered" would do if he left.
Wait it out. Wait it out.
Militia should not fall apart just because the true leader was not here.
"Gabriel. Please."
"I don't owe you anything, much less an explanation. I said I am the leader. Unfettered isn't. His input has no bearing."
Emily, after being quiet for a while, let her hand drop to the table. She was frowning, and she was NOT liking the way Rem was talking. She was going to have to pull her own strings, because she will not have that for an answer.
"No bearing? Excuse me." Emily said calmly, though it was obvious that she took offense. In her eyes, Gabriel had a reason for wanting to leave. "To say that "Unfettered" has no bearing in this group is blasphemy. This gang was put together with the cost of his blood, sweat, and tears."
She was serious, but her voice wasn't really raised -- or at least she was trying to, and it was at least 50% successful at least. She stood up, leaning against the table slightly and her hands on the table. She would not leave, nor join -- at least just yet. "I demand an explanation why you're taking the chair of the leader. You owe us all an explanation, because the reason why Gabriel, I, and Olesya were all here -- gathered in the name of Militia, was because of him and his efforts to pull us into the group."
She took a breath. Emily caught herself being defensive.
"I cannot acknowledge your leadership. Not until "Unfettered" confirms that you are to be the leader. I cannot operate blindly, and I am sure that though I trust all of you equally -- you CANNOT just assume the position of Leader just because you want to. Make your own gang for that. This is "Unfettered"'s gang."
"Besides," She said, looking at Olesya, "Olesya and I are part of the Elite Guard. We've been told to not take orders from anyone, except from "Unfettered" himself."
"You want unity? Fine, earn our trust. Answer my questions."
Sorry Tsi, but Em's persistent. XD

The laughter was enough for him, Gabriel was over the edge, he wanted nothing more from this power struggle, and he wanted the true unity. If time came to he would branch apart the militia to follow Unfettered’s code. But not as the Militia, in his eyes the militia was failed, they needed more strength a new rebirth of sorts.
"I would admit that I'm...more or less disorganized at the moment. So, if there are any who don't agree with what I'm saying. Please, feel free to leave. However..."
Gabriel didn’t turn to look at Rem but he could feel the anger at the back of his head. "Gabriel. Please." Emily’s voice slowed his demeanor a bit; she was the only one he’d seen with as much courage in the group, as much devout over the goals of the group as he had himself. Yet she wouldn’t stop him, Gabriel would not be lead in this fashion.
"Would you really follow someone as ignorant as Mr. Seran over there? Either ignorant, or deaf, it seems. My attitude is my own, you can either like me or don't like me, however, I have been nothing but straightforward and honest with you all. Since when have I hinted that I wanted this to be a one man show..."
This time Rem replied in a darker tone.
"So, what have I been talking about all this time? Unification? Do you even know what that word means? If you did, you'd realize that what I'm discussing is just that."
Rem was back to business, he was trying to salvage what he had left.
"By all means, if you disagree with my methods you are free to leave. I'd wish for you to stay, but if it must be it must be. However it is only my hope that you all here are logical enough not to be led by ignorance."
Emily retaliated furiously, that sent a shiver of victory up Gabriel’s spine, he didn’t reveal his satisfaction but he’d known he was going to win this unless Rem had something up his sleeve. Gabriel would move the groups onward to regain the prime directorate, take back the school. Protect the weak. Safe guard the helpless. He almost sounded like Robin Hood in his head. "Mr. Seran. You should listen before you cast judgment. If you must let your ignorance run rampant, do it somewhere else. However. I know right now. I can't do it without your help. Thus, I will ask you again. Please listen before you cast judgment."
Gabriel nodded and without turning replied softly without raising his voice too much, “I have listened and sat by long enough, And no longer will I sit by and let this fall to ruin.” He composed his voice into an authoritative speech, “Though I regret the fall of the Militia I look forward to the birth of something new, and this time we won’t be stopped…” With his final words he walked out either with or without anyone at his side. Those who followed would get first word of his plans, and first to gain his trust and loyalty.

"Nobody leaves. Not now, anyway."
From the shadows stepped a silent listener, a man who had crept into the heart of the meeting place and had all the information, all the truths and voices of the now severely weakened Militia Dumped into his brain, rattling bells. The group was divided- Cut off from they're leader and beginning to scatter. This was an event he could not let come to pass. This group, whatever its methods or involvements in the school or its students, was the only thing standing that could put up any sort of fight against the Evil that was rising to meet them. David, regardless of how he felt, couldn't let this happen, even if he himself needed to take drastic measures. He began walking through the crowd, the people parting for him as he made him way to the front.
His voice had frozen most of those who had begun to move, causing them to turn and listen to him. He walked to the point where all could see him, looking over Rem before turning around.
"United we stand, Divided we fall." His eyes swept over the crowd, lingering on Gabriel and on Emily.
"Before transferring here, i had the pleasure of speaking with your former leader, Unfettered. It was requested, by him, that i join your gang." Whispers broke out among some of them- Davids was, generally, a well known name, and they all knew that there wouldn't be a way he would join they're group. "I accepted on the Condition that i answer to nobody but Unfettered alone." He looked around. "Obviously Unfettered isn't here, and by that little message I'd say he wont be here for quite some time. Thats the dilemma, though, isn't it?" He could see that people were beginning to wonder what he was getting at.
"You have Gabriel- a fine young man, strong, smart, honorable, and willing to try and bring everyone to unity." He gave a nod to Seran before looking over at Emily and giving a smile. "You have Emily, beautiful, self- sacrificing, willing to do anything for the good of us all." He pointed with a thumb over his shoulder, looking back a little to give him acknowledgment. "You have Rem, strong as well, ready and able to lead with a plan, with a set course, to continue on the work of Unfettered." He gave Rem a nod of respect.
"And you have me- Strong, wealthy, and a part of a group that stands for whats right in our schools." He placed his hands in his pockets. "I'm not here to try and give a rallying speech, to try and turn you all into a spur against our enemies. I'm here to tell you simply, Rem, Gabe, and Em included- If you divide yourselves, you will not and cannot win. You will either unite under a common Banner, or you will fail in your quest to keep this school on its feet. Militia, in my belief, stood for what was good and right- it made others wonder at our strength, made those who did unjustly to know that we would bring them justice."
"I am not saying that i wish to lead Militia, Because i don't. I am saying, however, that one leader may not be what is cut out for it. A combination, a forming of leaders in your group may be what the school has to have." He shrugged. "If that is not what you want, then all of you decide among yourselves and pick ONE person to follow, not one of three. You must have unity or nothing will be done as you wish. Your weaknesses will be far to great to overcome, and this school, just as 259 began to, will fall into the waiting Darkness."
He looked over at Gabriel, then at Emily, then at Rem.
"You three should know this. You three, if you want whats best for the school should be combining your forces and joining under one flag. If it makes it simpler- who was second in command under "Unfettered". They can be the new leader. I don't rightly give a damn how you do it, but pick ONE. We can put it to a vote. Hell, I'll be the first to decide if you want. But do not take my words lightly."
With that he would step down and head over to the exit, blocking it.
"None of you leave unless you can come to an agreeable decision."
Five men, all of them rather large, Came in behind him and slammed the doors, effectively locking them into the library. Each of the other doors was shut as well, sealing them in.
"I can't allow this group, the only source of hope left for a scared, defeated school to break off and tear themselves apart. If it comes to it, if i have to-" He set his jaw, giving the determination, the fire that was in his eyes a very real glow"- I'll make myself leader by beating the hell out of every possible candidate and then setting my own plan before you. I' will not allow this dissension. If i must, if i have to, i will take up the rains. But Militia will remain one."
He folded his arms after his monologue, uttering only a few more words before lapsing into silence.
"Decide- which one will you follow."

Rem glanced up at the newcomer. David Blaze, a man he'd fought once before, at Unfettered's own request. As he listened to David, a tiny, imperceptible smile crept across his lips. He would have laughed out loud, hysterically even, had he been less in control of his actions. Things were going better than he could have possibly hoped. A godsend, even. Rem remained silent, his smile ever so small, his eyes focused squarely on the others. Who would they choose. No matter their choice, it would be Rem's victory. Still, what good was it not to keep up his previous staunch defense on the issue? It wouldn't hurt, even if it was pointless.
"I wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Blaze's decision. So, my friends. Who will it be? One of us? None of us?"

"None of you leave unless you can come to an agreeable decision."
As Gabriel was making his planned escape the doors slammed inward on him, damn, that hadn’t went according to plan then again when had it ever in times like these. Blaze’s succession into the room brought a new air to it. One domineered by choice, the choice of one side or another, that wasn’t what Gabriel had wanted he didn’t want the decision to be forced upon his members they had their own free will. This was just another Tyrannical form of the system. He was angry now, clenched fists swayed at his side urging to break down the door.
"I can't allow this group, the only source of hope left for a scared, defeated school to break off and tear themselves apart. If it comes to it, if I have to-"
Hope for that much it was true, they were the only sources of hope left, all others had descended into fear, and fear from the Reapers, their dominion had grown too far. But this was not the way to do it, evil begets evil, and through all this we’d become the very evil we sought to fight nobly against.
"- I'll make myself leader by beating the hell out of every possible candidate and then setting my own plan before you. I' will not allow this dissension. If I must, if I have to, I will take up the rains. But Militia will remain one."
Gabriel turned full motion about clearly angered, “And what do you seek to uphold David Blaze? Do you wish to make this school yours once more? Befall the Reapers by pressuring this hearing into submission! I cannot stand for such tyranny. You say you stand for hope, but what hope do you give them, it is false.”
Now Gabriel was inches from David staring him down now. Both men of honor succeeding to bring about balance and hope to those who could not themselves. Gabriel saw what Unfettered had seen in him, though no the world had turned on its side, ethics and morals became unjust and wrong. They could fight for hope but it would be the manner of how they fought this that would decide how others would view them. Power wasn’t everything…
"Decide- which one will you follow."
Gabriel’s teeth clenched, was this to be the end of valor, here between these very bookshelves? Would the hopes of everyone in this room be shattered to appeal to the means of dictatorial command? They would have to kill him first, he would take the burden unto himself to usurp this dominion and if need be take the fall.
"I wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Blaze's decision. So, my friends. Who will it be? One of us? None of us?"
The completely wrong attitude to go about it. Gabriel turned now to Rem with a slight grin, somewhere between defeat and victory, lye hope.
“No Rem, that’s not what it is,” Gabriel turned about to address the masses as Unfettered once had, “You have a choice, don’t be intimidated by their hostile trespasses, this is what brought us here fear. No for each of you here today is inspired by courage. Stand up and show your valor, we are here today to fight against this very thing. We fought before; we are united though through our individuality.” His voice felt loud, though the silence made it more so. What was to happen, he’d just become a transgressor, one without any allies though the one with a light.

Rem remained silent for a while as he appeared to be considering Gabriel's words. He adjusted his glasses once more, as he gave both David and Gabriel a placid look.
"Shouldn't we...wait until we hear what my sister, Emily has to say, before thinking such things, Mr. Blaze, Mr. Seran? She is, after all, someone of great repute and understanding. Her input might just bring an end to this impasse."

David listened to Gabriel, a small smile coming to his lips. The boy, understandably, misread or misunderstood the situation. He leaned back against the doors and smiled.
"Ah, Mr. Seran, thats where you have me all wrong. This isnt a dictatorial proclamation of Choose who will be leader or die. All the people in this room joined Militia of thier own free will, they all came to this meeting of thier own free will. You can't stand an state that, divided, we will have the same strength and opportunity and power needed to quell the rising storm. You speak of individuality- i speak of Victory. Victory at all costs. Every person in this room has acknowledged, through thier willingness to be here, that evil is present in this world, indeed in this very school as it was in 259." He held his arms out to the kids, as though introducing them.
"Look around Gabriel. These students know what its like. They joined Militia for the purpose- they gave up a part of thier individual selves to join a cause they believed to be right. You say my method is tyranical- Maybe. But It's what is needed to win. I'm not asking these people to give up anything, to hand thier freedom, thier lives over on a silver platter. I'm asking them simply to choose who they wish to lead the group they have all come to grow and care about so much so that we may move forward in strength."
"You tell me im a tyrant- No, you are the Tyrant. Rem is the tyrant. By exclaiming "Follow me, my way is right" and then leaving, your putting the students in a position they do not have time to choose. YOU are making them give up further individualoty by making them decide between who they want to lead. Friends may break up, enemies join the same cause. Defeat would be prominant in the petty power struggle we are holding now."
He grinned broadly.
"No, im no Tyrant. I am liberating them by stating "Choose one, so we may stand together." They chose before to stand with unfettered, now there must be a new leader chosen. Had i allowed you or rem or Emily to leave, everyone would be divided and truly, ultimately, leaderless."
After this long, kind hearted speech, his face turned darker as he stepped forward, bringing thier bodies even closer together in answer to Gabriels previous invasion of his personal space. Gabriel was just showing he would stand up to him- David was giving an outward threat with his body language, all the people present disappearing as he stared into Gabriels eyes. His voice was normal this time, toned so it would be comfortable to hear- calm, strangely calm.
"I have never had reason to dislike anything you have ever said to me. But now you speak of things you are ignorant of. Your Blatant disrespect for what i have put forth for this school and 259 shines when you try to tell me that what i want is to rule. You know nothing of me, Gabriel Seran, or what i have dreamed and wanted. If you wish to try and discredit me again, to mock me, to state that i wish things for myself...Wether we are before a large group or alone on the street, i will take that as an open insult, and we will fight."
After that was said he would break eye contact with Gabriel and look to rem, smiling.
"Indeed you are right sir. What does the fine young maiden have to say on the matter?"

Rem would simply chuckle when David called him a tyrant. He could deny it, but Rem had no such delusions of saintliness. He'd simply chuckle and nod.
"Mr. Blaze. You are the epitome of a tyrant. Sure, as am I, I won't deny it. However, the difference between you and I is that I still give the group a choice. They don't have to follow any of us if they so choose. They shouldn't. It's their right. You keeping us here with your self-righteous psychobabble, threatening to supersede and over take us with your supposed power. That, good sir, is tyranny. Now..."
Rem folded his arms and gave an amiable smile.
"I have no problem with your methods, Mr. Blaze, just don't come in here a hypocrite."

Ryuu made his way down the hallway, his bag bouncing off his legs as he walked. He had been at his locker, getting his textbook, when he heard his cell phone ring tone, Just Melody by UVERworld go off. As his right hand hovered in midair, he blinked once before looking around, and seeing no one around besides him, he lowered his hand and reached into his jeans pocket, pulling his cellphone out, and touched the screen, seeing that he had a text message. He opened the text, and read it, as his eyes slid back and forth, reading the text, he raised one eyebrow, Militia huh? Slightly curious, and slightly interested, Ryuu slid his cellphone back into his pocket, slammed his locker door shut and locked it, before he picked his shoulder bag up off the ground, and slung it over his shoulder, as he headed towards the library, the location specified in the text.
He made his way down the hallway to the library, as soon as he reached the door, he stretched his hand out to open it, but before he could, the door opened, and a guy with blond hair stepped out, his cell phone in his hand, looking at it with a worried look on his face, as he rushed down the hallway, moving past Ryuu, who stopped and grabbed the guy's shoulder. "The meeting is in there right?" he asked, as the guy blinked at Ryuu, a bit surprised. "Huh? Yeah, the meeting for Militia is in there, it already started, most of the people there know each other, the guy that called them there, Rem Aoyama, is apparently the leader, he's the guy with white hair, and the girl with white hair is Emily, his sister, sorry, I gotta go!" Ryuu released the guy's shoulder as his gaze followed the guy as he turned and watched the guy run down the hallway.
"..." was his reaction, as he shrugged his shoulders, and walked through the door into the library, passing by a large guy who was standing near the door, almost like he was guarding it. Walking around, Ryuu looked around, wondering just where the hell he was suppose to go. He walked down a couple aisles, and then spotted a group of people that looked like they were in the middle of a meeting. He quietly made his way over, and took a seat that moments ago, had been vacated by the blond guy that Ryuu had passed in the hallway, he had come in mid-sentence from the guy with white hair, that was the guy who called them, Rem Aoyama, according to the blond guy Ryuu had asked. "...methods, Mr. Blaze, just don't come in here a hypocrite." Ryuu, for the most part, kept silent, partly because he didn't know what was happening, apart from the fact that some of the people here, didn't agree with others, as Ryuu spoke rather softly, almost unable to be heard.
"United we stand, divided we fall."
