Up until now, Ryuu hadn't been disturbed as he played alone on the stage in the auditorium. A janitor and the occasional rogue student or two had passed through, but Ryuu hadn't been playing when that happened, so he hadn't been seen or caught. He had quietly slipped into the auditorium, his guitar case with his guitar inside slung over his shoulder, as he walked down the aisle, his footsteps making dull thumps. He then walked up the stairs to the stage and placed his guitar case down on the stage and opened it, pulling out his Fender Highway 1 Telecaster, and slung the guitar strap over his shoulder. The rows of seats in front of Ryuu were empty, the entire auditorium was dark except for the lights that hung on the side, but they were lit so dimly, that the light didn't even reach where Ryuu was. It was nice, being able to play peacefully, without anyone interrupting him. He had been playing various lead guitar solos, including ones from Treble Charger, Jimmy Eat World, and One Republic. He had played the songs through to the end, well, the lead guitar parts at least, the drums, bass, and lyrics were missing. Ryuu had taken off his black jacket, leaving him only in a black t-shirt, loose black track pants, and black Converse shoes. Adjusting the position of the guitar, he began to play a song by The Who that he had heard before. Playing the lead guitar parts, his fingers sliding up and down the strings as he played, the auditorium filled with the sound of the well-known song from the hard rock band. The song was moving along smoothly and nicely, as Ryuu let the lyrics and the sounds of the missing instruments flow through his head, completing the song. His head moving slightly as he played, Ryuu reached the part where the lead guitar was most prominent, and played it, his fingers racing over the strings, belting out the notes, his eyes closed, as he continued playing. It lasted for about a minute or so, as Ryuu opened his eyes, and finished playing it almost perfectly, he was good, but not great. He loved every minute of playing, he had considered making a band at one point, but he only knew a few people that could play instruments, but he hadn't talked to them lately. He didn't give up on the idea though, he just wondered if it could still happen. There was always a small chance it could, but first, he'd need to find the people that could possibly make up the band. Then the idea of a band could begin. The sounds of his electric guitar filling the auditorium, Ryuu was lost in the sound of his guitar.

Nick walked along the halls, whistling randomly and shuffling his feet along the hard ground. He was bored with nothing to do at the moment. Then he heard it. The sound came from behind two larger doors that marked the entrance to the auditorium. Nick stopped for a moment to listen harder. The sound was familiar as he had just heard it a few days ago and knew who was playing it. It was Won't Get Fooled Again by The Who, and Nick could take a guess that the person playing it was none other than Ryuu Hikari.
Nick opened the double door, as they were unlocked, and look a peak inside. There he was, the Japanese student with his beautiful Telecaster, playing the song. Nick walked into the auditorium with an oblivious stride, as to seem like he didn't notice Ryuu was there, waiting for him to notice someone had just entered the large, dark room.

like outfit, her red slightly curly hair freely flowing out down her back. Her heeled boots clicking on the ground as she walked through the halls, humming a random tune to herself. Midnight Velvet. Damn I really miss jamming with them. It's a shame we had to move and break the band up. Now there's only Kyria and I left of the old group. I miss going out to the clubs for our gigs. Though we usual performed covers of songs, who cared. We were adored and known over there. If I want that again I'm gonna have to start all over again. But... hmm? Who's that? Her ears picked up the sounds of a guitar, wailing out notes. A familiar song by The Who. Jazz herself was a guitarist, keyboardist, drummer and singer. She was a walking band, aside that she didn't play bass. It wasn't exactly her favorite. But the playing was drawing her in as she found the source in the auditorium. Peering inside, she opened one of the doors and stared for a moment before finally walking down one of the aisles. She didn't really notice the other too much, cause she was too focused on the one playing on the stage. Her heels definitely made alert to anyone of her presence. About three rows from the front she stopped and just stared. The image coming into her head of the possibilities. He's good. Really good. I can see everything. The lights. The rest of the band. The instruments, the clothes. Everything. Everything I've missed since we left the others behind. Now I'm definitely certain that I'm going to recreate Midnight Velvet, and he...he's going to be the start of it.Jazz wouldn't dare disrupt the beauty that was being displayed. She'd actually be patient enough to wait till he was done.[/ul]

Being who he was, Trizen was finished his science test a little early and by good graces was let out of the class. The only thing left to do was to wonder around the school and see what there was. He had been there for a little while now and was getting used to seeing where everything was -- be it the cliques, the teachers and the banged up lockers on the every other while. Simply said, it was easy for the raven-haired boy to keep his leisure as his mind would do its usual thing and run through its music playlist.
He went from Hank Mobley's 'This I Dig of You' to Tribe Called Quest's 'Check The Rhime', though he smirked when his fingers gently outlined the melody and harmonies to Joshua Redman's 'Jazz Crimes'.
'1..2..3..4...1 and--' There he went pretending to be Sam Yahel on the B3 doing his do and slaying the organ as he heard the chops of Brian Blade on the kit. But then his mind went somewhere else. As he ventured down a set of stairs, he thought he might have been hearing things as he heard a familiar tune... he remembered a bit of the lyrics, but something about it was just... familiar. America was an interesting place, and he certainly didn't grow up listening to Classic Rock, but he knew a bit of it. A little bit. His father was a well-established musician after all, and it was that very man that showed Trizen how to play music. While the freshman wasn't much of a woodwind player, though he was a decent jack of all trades. He would never admit to it straight up, so he just told people he played piano -- it was his favourite.
'Fooled... once? You've fooled me?'
Trizen subconsciously began to walk in the direction from which the sound was coming from. Sounded like a Fender guitar, though he was never really able to tell the difference between a telecaster and a strat -- as much as he heard Strats were leaning more on the jazz edge.
'Hmm... man.. this tune's really escaping me...' By the time he thought this, he was already in the auditorium. It was dark, but he couldn't help but make his way down to the front. That kid playing the strat looked familiar, though he knew why and where. Trizen just wasn't about to say anything.
The wild haired freshman stood beside two others, though on his right was a young lady who looked to be quite into this kind of thing. "So..." he leaned in a little bit and whispered, "I'm gonna say Won't Get Fooled, by... Guns and Roses?" It was a shot, and a terrible one at that, but he did vaguely remember the tune. Vaguely.

After he had entered, Nick had been closely followed by two other students. One, a red haired girl, the other a black haired boy. Other than that, he couldn't tell much in the dark. The dark haired boy spoke first.
"So... I'm gonna say Won't Get Fooled, by... Guns and Roses?"
Nick couldn't help but laugh loudly at the guess.
"I'm sorry, that was just really funny to me," Nick said between a mouthful of laughter and his accent, he collected himself,"Its Won't Get Fooled Again by The Who."

Down to the lady's right hand side, there was a voice that broke out in laughter. Of course it was here alone that Trizen knew he was wrong. Just wrong. Terribly wrong.
"Damn it..." he mumbled though wasn't terribly concerned. He knew it was going to bug him now that he had embarrassed himself in front of total strangers who just to happen to be knowledgeable on the subject on rock. Trizen? Not so much. But he did learn something. Guns and Roses WAS a rock group.
"And here I thought Guns and Roses was a movie. Glad to know I was wrong." He said in response and caught himself laughing as well. The boy thought and hoped he wasn't interrupting anything special; it did look like a bit of a tender moment, especially with him standing beside the young lady unknown to him as Jazz. "Do all American bands have such strange names?" Of course he was kidding, but he liked playing on the fact that he was Japanese-American, and pushed on the Japanese part. Though, Russell Peters did have a thing or two to say about that as he recalled. Trizen chuckled to himself quietly on thinking of it.
"I'm sorry... am I disturbing a band rehearsal?" He whispered to his right once again to either persons.

Start it, and they will come. Like flies to honey, the sound of Ryuu playing attracted the first of what he hoped to be, many people to make up the band. As Ryuu played, he heard the sound of the auditorium doors open, and saw someone peek in, and then whoever it was walked into the auditorium. Ryuu looked at who it was, and recognized it was Nick, the guy who had played the drums back in the music room. The guy was walking down the aisle with an oblivious stride, like he didn't notice Ryuu was here. Yeah, right. Unless Nick had suddenly gone deaf, he would definitely know Ryuu was here. But since Ryuu couldn't wave, all he could do was nod his head in acknowledgment at Nick. He continued to play, as the auditorium door open once more, this time it was a girl with fiery red hair and wearing a suit-like outfit that came walking in, her heels clicking against the floor gave her away, she had probably heard the sound of him playing his guitar, just like Nick. About three rows from the front, he saw her stop and stare, while he continued to play, he was almost finished the song.
He heard the auditorium door open again, and saw a guy with black hair come walking down to the front. He looked familiar to Ryuu, but from where, he couldn't remember right now. He saw the guy stand beside Nick and the girl, the girl was on the guy's right side, as Ryuu saw him lean a bit. "So... I'm gonna say Won't Get Fooled, by... Guns and Roses?" Ryuu smirked slightlyhe got the right name, but got the wrong band, as he heard Nick laugh loudly at the guy's guess. "I'm sorry, that was just really funny to me," Ryuu heard Nick say in between his laughter and the accent he had, "It's Won't Get Fooled Again by The Who." "And here I thought Guns and Roses was a movie. Glad to know I was wrong." At least the guy was laughing, which was a good sign. "Do all American bands have such strange names?" "Depends," Ryuu finally said, speaking up, "Some Japanese bands have some strange names too." Yeah, Ryuu was poking some fun at some of the bands he listened to, such as UVERworld, HIGH AND MIGHTY COLOR, you get the point.
"I'm sorry... am I disturbing a band rehearsal?" "Nope," Ryuu replied, as he finished the song with a bang, the last notes reverberating through the auditorium, "In fact, there was no band to begin with." Ryuu stood up, and walked to the edge of the stage, and hopped down, landing in front of the first row of seats. "I'm just a humble guitarist hoping to create a band, but we're missing two vital players, a singer, and a bassist, and I'm neither." Ryuu knew Nick was already a drummer, having met him back in the music room, and did not doubt his talents. The other two however, he didn't know if they played any instruments, but if they came here just from the sound of Ryuu's playing alone, they had to have some musical knowledge. "I already know one of you, and you are?" The question was directed to the Asian guy, and the girl, he already knew Nick, so he didn't have to ask.

"Trizen," He started, "Trizen Takano. I just transfered here from PHS 259, so I'm still getting used to everything around here." Ryuu hadn't told them his name yet, though that's probably because he probably assumed they already knew him.
The young man didn't bother to say which instrument he played, besides, he didn't know what the others were saying and he felt like he was talking far too much as it was. He was a quiet guy when he wanted to be -- which was quite often.

"Trizen. Trizen Takano. I just transfered here from PHS 259, so I'm still getting used to everything around here." "Ryuu Hikari," Ryuu replied, nodding in acknowledgment at Trizen, "I'm a non-transfer, been here for about a year, so I already know my way around the school, but trust me, you're not the first transfer I've met that came from 259." Ryuu then looked over at Nick and jerked his head behind him, indicating to the drum set behind him, that is, if the guy wanted to play or not, Ryuu wouldn't force him to play if he didn't want to. He then looked over at Trizen and the girl with red hair. "If any of you can play a instrument, keyboard, bass, or sing, I don't care what, if you feel like playing, just come up here, I think there's some instruments located behind me." If they decided to come up to the stage, while they did, Ryuu would start playing a song he had heard on the radio, it was a bit of a rock song. Ryuu hoped at least one of them could play bass, but if they couldn't, he would have to go and search for a bass player, and he knew who he could ask, but he would have to find her first. But if Kate happened to come here by chance, it would save Ryuu the trouble of having to go find her. Though if another bass player came, that was fine too, Ryuu wasn't really fussy when it came to it.

As introductions started, Ryuu nodded his head for Nick to jump on the drums. Nick ran up on stage after dumping his bag, hoodie, and headphones on a seat and taking out his prized drumsticks. He sat at the drum stool and noticed that the drum kit was identical to the one that was in the music room, yet it was sliver instead of black. He yelled toward the red head and Trizen.
"I'm Nick, by the way. I play the drums. Obviously..."
Ryuu invited them to join along if they wanted, but right now it was Ryuu and Nick onstage. Ryuu began playing a song, which Nick knew basically. After a couple beats, Nick joined in with the drums.

Post by Molly Smith on Mar 18, 2009 21:34:55 GMT -5
“Bathrooms… bathrooms, bathrooms, where on earth are the bathrooms in this place?” Molly muttered, progressing down the empty halls at a light and quiet jog, the barely-there heels of her ballet flats clacking against the polished floors. “This is isn’t even cool!”
Molly had been at the school for exactly two weeks; she’d been counting. That had been enough time to get her feet under her, to figure out where her classes were, to make some acquaintances. But, apparently, two weeks was not long enough a period for her to find the school’s bathrooms. “Right,” she said, thinking aloud, “down there’s the classroom, and up that way is the auditorium. There has to be a bathroom somewhere, this is a long-ass hallway.”
As her words died in the hallway’s quiet, muffled strains of music and voices made their way to her ears. Strange. She could have sworn that the auditorium was empty this block. Brow furrowed slightly, she swept her bangs out of her face and headed for the auditorium doors. It was warm enough in the school that she’d taken off her sweater, which was thrown over her arm, leaving her in one of her light-pink tank tops and the usual white shorts. Her shoes drowned out the faint noises she’d heard as she started walking again, reaching the doors for the auditorium within a few minutes.
She opened the door as inconspicuously as she could, poking her head in. It was dark in there, but there were definitely human silhouettes that she could see in the dim light. Her curiosity piqued, she slipped through the door and made her way down the empty aisles as quietly as she could. She didn’t want to disrupt whatever was going on. She joined the young man and the red-haired girl near the front.
“So, uh,” She began awkwardly, addressing the boy standing next to her, “what’s going on? You all in a band or something?” She could see that there was a drummer up on stage, and a guitarist as well, but she wasn’t sure what the other two were doing. Molly could sing, at least decently; she didn’t practice much and she’d never had formal training, but she’d gotten more interested in it after leaving dance.

As soon as Ryuu motioned for Nick to get his ass up on stage and jump on the drums, he saw Nick dump his bag, hoodie, and headphones on a seat and run up on stage with his drumsticks in his hands, taking a seat at the drum stool, the drum set Nick was sitting at was identical to the one in the music room, except this one was silver instead of black. "I'm Nick, by the way. I play the drums. Obviously..." "Obviously..." Ryuu echoed, rolling his eyes in mock exasperation, before he began to play In The Shadows by The Rasmus, after a few beats, Ryuu heard Nick join in with the drum beat. Ryuu then began to sing the lyrics, any traces of his Japanese accent disappearing completely. "No sleep. No sleep until I am done with finding the answer. Won't stop. Won't stop before I find a cure for this cancer." As he sang, if he hadn't been facing the front, he wouldn't have noticed the auditorium door open in the back, and a head poked in, he couldn't make out who it was, but whoever it was slipped in and began walking down the aisle.
As soon as the person got close and stopped beside Trizen and the girl with red hair, Ryuu made out in the dim light, it was an Asian girl with pink hair, Ryuu couldn't tell exactly, but she looked Japanese, at least, to him she did. “So, uh,” Ryuu heard her begin to say, talking to Trizen, “What’s going on? You all in a band or something?” As Ryuu played the part that didn't require him to sing, he attempted to catch the attention of the girl, once he did, he shook his head, indicating that they weren't in a band, not yet anyways. He then gestured to the microphone he was standing in front of, and then motioned with his head for the girl to come up to the stage, if she could sing, that would be great. He continued to play, the sound of his electric guitar reverberating through the auditorium.
