Roxy sat on a bench near the back entrance of the school, it was her lunch period and she never ate anything that came from the cafeteria. It was more of a personal choice rather than out of fear of what they call mystery meat. She would merely make something or pick something up afterwords. Instead she spent her times enjoying herself outside of the classroom. Her eyes wandering over the grounds. With her legs crossed she gently bobbed her leg on her knee blowing bubbles with her bubblegum as ear buds spilled music into her ears. The world around her seemed to move with the beat of the music. Her interest lying in the lyrics as she continued to move to the beat with her long leg. In The ShadowsShe seemed to be enjoying herself. Oblivious to the world so to speak. Today she was clad in a pair of tight skinny leg low riders, her torso covered with a light red and black stripped sweater. A big black belt with large bangles connecting to each other with a chain. Her hair, spiked in the back and let loose and free in the front, letting them blow free with any slight breeze. Singing along silently to herself her blue eyes turned to the person approaching her.

His hood was up and his headphones were on. Nick was walking around the school, as he was new to the visual map of the school. Right now, he was occupied with detailing the back of the school to memory, but suddenly stopped as he saw a girl sitting by herself.
She was an odd one, but this made Nick more interested than usual. He decided to try it out and get to know her. Who knows what kind of a person she could be.
As he approached the bench she was occupying, he noticed she was listening to music as well and singing along in her head. When he got close she turned to looked at him.
"Hey, would you mind if I sat there?" he said innocently in his accent, pointing to the empty spot next to her on the relatively small bench.

Roxy turned her music down while moving over to make room for him. Leaving the ear buds within her ears. The music was low but still able to be heard.
"Whatever floats your boat sweets"
She would watch as he would make himself comfortable on the hard wooden bench. Noticing the headphones she smirked before turning here eyes back to the scene in front of her, her leg continuously bouncing to the beat of the music that only she could hear.
Curiosity seemed to know how to nag at her until she opened her mouth.
"Anything good?"
She would look towards his headphones, asking what he was listening to.

"Anything Good?"
She seemed to be motioning towards his headphones. Nick smiled at her.
"Ah, of course. Right now I'm listening to a bit of Iron Maiden. Can't forget about them now, can we?" he said with some pizazz.
Maybe he was being a little too upbeat and friendly, but when it came to his music he was enthusiastic. He couldn't help but keep his smirk as he spoke.
"How 'bout you? Seems like you've got something worth listening to in there if your foot hasn't stopped since I sat down."

"True true."
Unclipping her small Ipod from her belt she moved through the menus showing him some of the titles.
"I have some Nightwish, Shinedown, The Rasmus, Metallica, erm I believe I have a few J.S. Bach Pieces too. So a little bit of everything. A girl has to have her selection."
She smiled with a small laugh. Most people seemed to laugh when she mixes her Contemporary with Classical. She didn't necessary look the part of a classical music kinda girl.
Swiping her hand to her long strands of hair she brushed them back behind her ear and then extended her hand.
"Im Roxy."
She wouldn't by shy in introducing herself, frankly she had done it most of the day with random people that she was used to it. Her outgoing ways always got the best of her.

Nick scanned down the list of artists she was showing him. Most of the bands he liked himself, but some he never even heard of. Perhaps she'd be good to ask if he wanted a cool new band to listen to. When the list got to the Classical music he chuckled.
She put out her hand to greet him with formalities.
"I'm Roxy."
Nick grasped her hand and with a firm shake he replied.
"Great to meet you. And I'm Nicolas. Would you care to take a look at my collection?"
As he offered his music library, he took out his iPod Classic.

((ooc- Sorry for the delay been working on some commissions that are due -.-'))
Roxy leaned over releasing his hand. She looked towards his iPod watching as he would of course give her a grand view of his music selection. His choices were top notch and she nodded impressed.
"Very nice. Its always nice to know another person with the same musical interests. I would hate to ever get behind and lose out on finding new bands."
She smiled as she took the ear phones and let them drape around her neck.
"Would you have any recommendations?"
She uncrossed her legs and turned her body more inwards towards him, using her one hand to tuck in the strands of hair that seemed to again escape from behind her ear. Waiting to see what he would recommend.

(occ: No problem, lol. I rather wait then have you rush through your posts. ;D)
"Would you have any recommendations?"
Nick noticed her become more relaxed in his presence. Definitely this was a good sign when meeting someone new. He had obviously found one of Roxy's interests, and what made it better is he shared this interest with her.
"Hmm, well... Disturbed, Kamelot, Lacuna Coil, Muse... and perhaps some Mozart to go along with that Bach."
Nick laughed a little at the last thing he said and a huge smile ran across his face.

"Hmm I will most definitely check them out. Thou I have most of Mozart's collection along with some Monteverdi and some Webber. It wouldn't be complete without Webber."
She smiled.
"I'm sure your a fan of the arts as well. Most music lovers are. I personally find it fascinating, specially the theater. Seems its one thing I can not deny."
Roxy laughed lightly. She missed her old school, mostly only for the drama department, she was unsure if this school participated in such things. The thrill of the imagination, the lights, the sounds, it was something she had looked forward to every year.

"Ha, well if you couldn't tell, I'm English, and I grew up in the heart of London, so I've had plenty of exposure to the Arts. It's part of my culture." Nick said with pride for his heritage.
Nick's favorite category of the arts was obviously music, but he never declined invitations to other areas of art. In England he had been to plenty of concerts, museums, and theaters most of which he loved. Artsy people were his kind of people.
Nick looked straight into Roxy's blue eyes and smiled. He was glad to have met her and hoped she felt the same. Nick loved meeting new people, especially when they were passionate about similar things as he was, and he found Roxy, well... quite interesting to say the least.

"Then I must say you might have more experience than I have. I'm sure where your from its riddled with the arts. Unfortunately here doesn't have the same quality except in museums an such. It's a shame but I'm not too heart broken. I'm actually planning a trip overseas once I graduate. A little reward to myself for having to survive my teenage years, which is, to be frank, not that bad."
She laughed lightly.
"But I was told by a few that I should complain to make it meaningful."
She again laughed.
"So where in England were you born. And I have noticed your accent but didn't want to be rude in pointing it out."
She added in a she kept her view on him waiting for him to respond to her question.

Nick's teenage years hadn't been difficult to survive. The only downside during this period was that he had to move to California, which now he was liking more and more. When Roxy laughed, he laughed along because he found her amusing.
"So where in England were you born. And I have noticed your accent but didn't want to be rude in pointing it out."
Nick chuckled at that.
"It wouldn't have been rude at all, just between you and me, its kinda hard not to notice. Oh, and I was born in London. Grew up there, too. If you do plan to take a trip overseas, I'd recommend visiting. Now where are you from and such?"

“Born and raised here, just on the other side of town. Kinda got kicked out of my last school and this one seemed to be the only one that would accept so late in the year. My dad is from Ohio thou. I’ve been told that I sound as if Im not from around here with certain words I picked up from him. It’s a curse and a blessing all in one.”
She smiled.
“When I start my planning, I will definitely keep you in mind on helping with my route. You probably know the best places to see and which ones to stay away from in London. I wouldn’t wanna go looking like a gullible tourist.”
Taking her ipod she took the ear buds from around her neck and wrapped them around the player before sticking them into her pocket since she wouldn’t be listening to much while having a nice conversation with Nicolas.
“So which class do you have next? I got Pre Calc. Ugh..Im all groovy for math but there is just some things that are just hard to figure out. Its like pulling teeth when trying to do conversions. I hope to talk to the teacher in order to get some extra help but they don’t seem to be interested in helping much.”
She rolled her eyes to the fact that most of her teachers just simply tell her to read the book and figure it out for herself. You would think they would be interested in helping to mold students minds rather than playing solitaire on the computer or crossword puzzles in the news paper.

Listening to Roxy speak, Nick jot down all the info about her to memory. It was just a habit to not forget about a person he liked to talk to because he believed it got annoying to them if someone made them repeat something they had already said.
When Roxy started to but her iPod away, Nick checked where his DJ headphones were, to make sure they weren't on his head. They were around his neck, like they should have been during a conversation.
"I'd love to help you or tutor you and everything, but I'm no good at math either. To tell the truth, I'm not terribly good at any subjects other than music. Oh, and English I guess...and lets see... what do I have after lunch..."
Nick looked upward while trying to remember what was after lunch.
"Ah! I have computer science!"

“It’s quite alright, Im sure there’s someone in my class willing to help if not I’ll just study a little harder in order to learn it.”
Roxy chimed in while he thought about his class schedule. When he mentioned computer science she nodded. She didn’t have that class but again there were a lot more courses than she could cover in just one quarter, or was it semester. The school was a little different than the one she just transferred from.
“It’s a little harder here than in my last school. Came from a private school and they practically forced you into study groups.”
She smirked.
