It’d been nearly six months since the formation of “Unfettered’s” Militia had been created. Their goal had a single purpose in mind, to bring down the Pillar system, to unify the students as a single body and safeguard those who could not themselves. Though things have changed since then, obstacles have arisen bringing much needed changes to their prime objectives, things were sacrificed in the name of sanctity. The Correctional Facility was first as it stole the members of Public High school #259, including those from the Militia, key members. We struck back and took them by force, we proved the strength of unity as one.
Then there were the transfers, Dragons, Reapers. They forced us to ally with the student body which we had been fighting so hard to topple. Pressure from all sides had brought it to a boiling point, members at each side deciding their allegiance. Now was time for the third strike. This one was to hit the Militia the hardest; a new faction derived of Unfettered’s prime goal, level the playing field and brings forth order, not through fear but through unity.
Gabriel Seran marched out amongst the night sky of downtown San Francisco. There were stars out tonight, unabridged by the city’s electrical outlets. His dark attire suggested something sinister though his heart proved to be noble. Gabriel Seran sat atop an empty roof keeping watch over the city, he needed sleep if he were to get anywhere in the morning but he couldn’t, there was something on the horizon that beckoned him and urged him on.

Stu was sitting on the ledge below the roof, a tiered ledge meant as an aesthetic quality, but proved perfect for brooding. He had received the summons from Gabriel not too much earlier, and had made his way to the building as quickly as possible.
He listened for the young man's approach, and finally hearing him settle upon the roof, he took a puff from that burning cigarette, flicking it off the roof, watching it tumble to the ground. It hit the ground and sparks jumped, before settling, dying out quickly in the cold night air.
He pulled the great coat around him tighter, the shotgun that had drawn Unfettered to him resting on his lap. He smiled of the time he met the boy.... they were fighting, and the boy had just taken half a shot from the shotgun, which would've sent any normal person cowering for lives, or at least trying to run away to get a more advantageous position.
Not him. No, Unfettered charged blindly, taking another shot...
He snapped from his revelry. He stood, which would give the appearance of him suddenly floating to the edge of the roof. He leaned, and looked towards Gabriel.
"Heyo. Looks like we're the first to arrive..."

Emily was late.
A minute after Gabriel came in, Emily would open the door; revealing herself to be in a rather cute-looking nurse outfit. She had just come back from her volunteer work and apparently she had to deal with endorsements, like any other good nurse.
God, and she doesn't even get paid for all this.
Smiling, despite being somewhat tired, Emily waved at the two boys. "I got your te----xt..." She stopped on her tracks for as second as she finally noticed the guy from their fight right there, by the railings. She rememebered him to be with that pellet gun. It was an ingenius thing, really, now that Emil looked back a it. "So... I'm here. Sorry for being late--- and the outfit..., I had to deal with some endorsements.

Needless to say, Olesya was lost.
She had been asked to join Militia by Unfettered, Jon, back at 259 right before she lost her pillar ship. Now, in this new place with these new people, Unfettered was no where to be found. And he released them from their duty before her duty even began. So what now? It seemed the entire operation was breaking up into separate factions. And where was Olesya going?
With Emily of course.
Why?
Because Emily was her best friend. Other than that, Les didn't know why she did this.
She was the last to arrive, apparently, making her way onto the rooftop, she pulled the long black sleeves of her zip-up over her hands, fighting the wind that danced across the rooftop. There she saw Emily, and the boy Gabriel from the meeting, and...
No.
Les kept her expression carefully blank, though her eyes darkened as she locked eyes with the green haired boy. Her gaze then turned to Emily and Gabriel, and she crossed her arms over her chest, waiting for one of them to speak.

Gabriel looked over the side a calm expression cloaking his face as the first was to arrive, Stu, the man he’d met in the alleyway one who’s connection seemed to be allied with Unfettered in the good ol’ days of Public High School #259, things were different now. He got a good impression from this one, deep and willing to fight on. He smirked at his presence, good. From the stairwell came the familiar noise of toes against an echoing room, Emily and another girl whom he didn’t know as of yet, though he recognized her from the militia meeting. Good, more than he suspected, now this was where his first matters would be held. They made their appearance atop the roof, Emily suited in a nurse’s outfit made Gabriel tilt his head curiously examining it before recoiling back once more not to appear rude.
With a nod he was to start, “All right, now we’re all here for a reason but first of all I must apologize for my abdication from the meeting earlier, it was not like me.” His head turned down to the ground saddened.
“However there are more pressing matters to address, I do not feel that it is the time to elect leaders to the Militia standpoint; however it is time for our original plans to progress. The issue is nothing is getting done. We have all these ideologies yet our members are dropping, either to the succession of power given out by the Reapers or being press ganged into other illicit affairs.” He was pacing across the roof now occasionally looking up to make eye contact. “What we need to do is Unfettered’s last wish, rid the school of not only the Pillar system, but rid it of all other gangs. I propose that once instated should then become the personal army as it once had been.” Gabriel slowed now addressing each of them kindly, “Now I’m getting a bit ahead of myself here, the first goal we need to take out the guards defending their leaders. Or better yet, if we take out their leaders their power shall falter and their army will follow.”
He stood now breathing slightly faster now ready awaiting their responses, he could only hope for the best though he was unsure of any full support from any of them. If it came down to it he would do the dirty job himself.

Stu pulled himself so that he was sitting on the roof. He had acknowledged Olesya, but she didn't seem to be in the mood for talking, and he wouldn't press it. He was done with her. He wanted nothing to do with her...
But everything to do with her.
No! Not again. He suppressed it, paying attention to Gabriel.
He spoke of initiating the downfall of this school's pillar system, and the systematic removal of all other gangs. He wanted an army. Stu didn't work as an army, but he understood what he wanted; the same thing Unfettered wanted; an end to this all.
He smiled slightly, cradling the gun before returning it to the holster on the inside of his greatcoat.
"Hmm... Alright. You've got my bid. But don't fuck it up, unnerstand? I didn't work for Militia, I worked for Unfettered. But he spoke highly of you, savvy? I expect a lot."
He pulled out a death stick, putting it to his lips, lighting it, a slight crackling as the cigar caught, and he took a drag, rolling the smoke around in his mouth before exhaling into the night. The smoke hung in the air momentarily before a stray wind caught it and dragged it away.
He sighed heavily.

Emily smiled, waving a bit to Olesya as she entered. The girl didn't know of her best friend's previous relationship with the other guy that was there. But by the way the two looked at each other, made her somewhat think that it was something significant.
Emily erased the thought. It was probably just her. Sighing, the girl took out her scarf and laid it out on place to sit on. She wouldn't really want to mess up her white uniform.
She also tapped the vacant side of the large piece of cloth after she sat, beckoning the other girl to sit with her before Gabriel began. “However there are more pressing matters to address, I do not feel that it is the time to elect leaders to the Militia standpoint; however it is time for our original plans to progress. The issue is nothing is getting done. We have all these ideologies yet our members are dropping, either to the succession of power given out by the Reapers or being press ganged into other illicit affairs.” Emily nodded. Nothing was ever done, in Militia really.
And as surprising as "Unfettered" suddenly releasing them all from Militia, she began wondering why all of this began.
Was this her fault, for leaving "Unfettered" back at Long Beach?
She shook the thought off.
“What we need to do is Unfettered’s last wish, rid the school of not only the Pillar system, but rid it of all other gangs. I propose that once instated should then become the personal army as it once had been. Now I’m getting a bit ahead of myself here, the first goal we need to take out the guards defending their leaders. Or better yet, if we take out their leaders their power shall falter and their army will follow.”
That... was quite a plan, but fallacious in Emily's mind
"You don't mean taking down the dragons, don't you?" She said, crossing her legs (which has already begun to become a habit for her, unfortunately.) "If it is just by just the four of us, then you're asking for something that we cannot do -- at the moment. Even if we did take the rest of Militia with us: still not possible -- at the moment."
She stressed the words : at the moment, for it was true. None of them could bring them down as they were. It would be an outright display of arrogance to just waltz into school and declare a challenge for all of them. No. In Emily's mind, that wouldn't work.
Emily then turned her head to face forward, locking eyes with Gabriel. "Only one of us in Militia has been able to fight a Dragon and send him to the hospital along with him..." She sighed, "--and that's David. He's not even here. What do you propose we do to get around that, Gabriel?"

Taking down the pillar system? Taking down the Dragons? The Reapers? That was certainly a tall order, something that Emily beat her to the punch to point out. Olesya shoved her hands in her pockets, tilting her head down slightly so that her eyes were in shadow from her bangs.
"If we hope to defeat them, we need to be the strongest, because of what we lack in numbers. "
That much was obvious.
She was going to continue to ask what Gabriel thought they should do in order to rectify this, and see the plan through, but Em had already asked so she wasn't going to repeat a question. Her questions, then, drifted to Unfettered. It unsettled Olesya to head Gabriel consider their goal Unfettered's "last wish," it sounded like he was dead or something. Where was he now? Why? Would he come back?
Could they do this without him?

Gabriel stood waiting intently on their responses, he was eager to get the ball rolling and this was the pinnacle decision of what was to come, he needed them without them the plan would falter. He turned to Stu and heard his response, and replied with a simple nod, “Thank you.” Then to Emily
"You don't mean taking down the dragons, don't you?" Gabriel smirked now, “That’s exactly what I intend to do.” "If it is just by just the four of us, then you're asking for something that we cannot do -- at the moment. Even if we did take the rest of Militia with us: still not possible -- at the moment."
For now she was right, the four of them couldn’t handle the force of the Dragons, the Reapers and the Pillars. It was all a large load to handle, and most importantly what he feared was, if they were to not succeed they would themselves become the villains.
Emily then turned her head to face forward, locking eyes with Gabriel. "Only one of us in Militia has been able to fight a Dragon and send him to the hospital along with him..." She sighed, "--and that's David. He's not even here. What do you propose we do to get around that, Gabriel?"
He nodded yet again, Gabriel had no illusions, David Blaze had been the strongest member of their own force but he commanded so much strength that the Militia relied on him so much. That wasn’t what they were about, it was for the individual, and they thought that they could hide behind that very strength, now that the Reapers where at our door and no longer did we have the strength.
Gabriel crossed the roof and grasped Emily’s shoulders, “We can defeat them, and we can win. Maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow but soon we will show them our might. Not the iron might of David Blaze but the mass of chaos that we are, the entire student body. It’s not just us in this but we are going to fight for everyone else under their control.” He was in a deep passion now enunciating the words excitably as his eyes now wandered over to Olesya. "If we hope to defeat them, we need to be the strongest, because of what we lack in numbers. "
Gabriel nodded to that as well, “That is true, we are lacking now that’s why I need the three of you with me now. If each of you can grasp even one more person that makes seven of us and then from there we get fourteen and then twenty eight. We will train we will toil to the extent of our bodies, but I cannot accept the fact that we will give up and hand ourselves at their feet.”

Stu thought about it. The boy was right. Within due time, they could be the strongest. But the boy was forgetting one thing.
"What if they do the same?"
Stu sat down on the roof again, taking another drag. He balanced on the roof ledge now, wondering if the boy had a plan outside of "Bide our time." But he trusted the boy, as odd as that would sound, since the boy had shown the ability to be both caring but strong.
He was a natural born leader. And Stu could appreciate that. But it also wasn't what he was used to. He didn't follow people. He did favors, or teamed up, but he was not a follower in the traditional sense. No one would think of him less if he didn't stick around at every meeting.
But he wanted to hear more.
"So lets say we recruit. Then what? We all get stronger. Lets say do the same. At their current ability... none of us alone could take them on.
But what if we get them one at a time, together? It'll be harder, yes, but it could be done..."

Gabriel grasped Emily as he began his reply. “We can defeat them, and we can win. Maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow but soon we will show them our might. Not the iron might of David Blaze but the mass of chaos that we are, the entire student body. It’s not just us in this but we are going to fight for everyone else under their control. If we hope to defeat them, we need to be the strongest, because of what we lack in numbers. "
Emily looked away and mumbled something incoherent to anyone of the three -- something about "That's what I said..."
Considering the amount of people Emily knew well?
That actually didn't sound too hard, really. But back to IC, Emily then began to wonder just who she would call in.
Trizen maybe?
James?
Riley?
Speaking of which, Emily never saw Riley after that day in school. She wouldn't be able to know his number until he texted her, but at least he had her number.
"So lets say we recruit. Then what? We all get stronger. Lets say do the same. At their current ability... none of us alone could take them on.
But what if we get them one at a time, together? It'll be harder, yes, but it could be done..."
Yeah, it got the job done. It increased the chances of winning, but that was almost like declaring that individually, they were nothing.
"We can do that and significantly raise our chances of actually being victorious-- but as we are now currently, we can't even do that." Emily laughed nervously, wondering how she got so pessimistic. "Sorry for sounding all pessimistic, but we really have to buff ourselves and others up first before we do anything."
Probably her own fear of failure?
Maybe so.

Olesya listened to them speak, nodding at some clear points were made. No, they were not strong enough as of right now to take down any of them. Yes, they could recruit, but who? Yes, they could aim to take down one at a time..
"I think it would be best to tackle them one at a time, there's no way we could take them all at once. Divide and Conquer."
But that brought her back to...who? Who could they recruit to help them? Who had the same goals as them? As Unfettered? Who was motivated to take down the Reapers, whoever they were, and the Student Heirarchy? ...Matrim was a pillar, and so was Mathew. Did that mean she would have to take them down too? They weren't her friends, but she respected them...to a point.
Ugh, she wasn't good at this planning shit.

"What if they do the same?" Gabriel had taken that into account, chances are they could aim for the same choice it would make them a lot more for the time being however in the meanwhile, strike when they’re weak. "So let’s say we recruit. Then what? We all get stronger. Let’s say do the same. At their current ability... none of us alone could take them on. But what if we get them one at a time, together? It'll be harder, yes, but it could be done..."
Gabriel paced about to the side, yes that’s what they would have to do, corner them and make their only strength that they rely on their weakness. But first the job was to find their strengths and most importantly those weaknesses.
"We can do that and significantly raise our chances of actually being victorious-- but as we are now currently, we can't even do that." Emily laughed nervously, "Sorry for sounding all pessimistic, but we really have to buff ourselves and others up first before we do anything." Gabriel turned to her and nodded, “Yes but that is because it is only us…what we need now is a swift summoned minutemen to react when the time comes to take them down.”
"I think it would be best to tackle them one at a time, there's no way we could take them all at once. Divide and Conquer." Gabriel turned to Olesya and agreed with the plan though he feared it wouldn’t be that simple not now.
“We can decide on our methods later though for now, this is to decide whether you will stick with me, not as servants, not as my second in commands, not as any ranked individual, but as free people seeking out to grasp some good left here…” Gabriel turned full circle to watch each of them, giving each a moment to look in the eyes, “We won’t drop to their level, this is a means to an end, when we take the pillars out, we must act as one to secure the strength of the gangs and infiltrate them. The arm of Militia shall be our shield; it’s already begun to lay strewn apart, now I give you the option to thrust the sword of justice back into our foes. Once we have control over the hierarchy we shall disassemble it as well as our affiliation with this group, I shall not see our creation become but a weapon of fear.”

Stu nodded, looking the boy in the eyes. He was fortunate to have met the boy, and smiled at the boy's ideas. A lot had changed lately, and him being but a secret friend of Unfettered, made him less trustworthy than the rest of them.
But Gabriel trusted him enough to include him in on this clandestine meeting.
He nodded again, before speaking a final time, standing on the roof of the building.
"Agreed. We need to resurrect this gang. No offense to Rem, but he doesn't seem like the greatest of leaders. I found him unconscious in the middle of the prison during the break out. He's not personally strong enough.
But neither are any of us, save maybe you Gabriel. But we need the physical strength... and we need Unfettered. Until he comes back... it won't be complete. It never will be. He was the glue that held us all together.
Until then... just call me. I'll be where I'm needed. G'day."
And with that, he jumped off the roof. He threw a hand out, grasping the ledge, and swung onto a fire escape, landing in a roll and leaping from it. He flew across the gap, and landed on another fire escape's ladder, sliding down it. He took off down the street, lighting up another cigarette.
He spoke just loud enough to be heard, though he was talking to himself.
"You're important Gabriel. Don't ever forget that. You're the new glue."

Emily sighed and nodded. Guess there was no choice but this. She would have to find newbies to train amongst other things that have to be done. "I have subjective data on several members of the hierarchy, if you need it I'll write it up for you. It should be useful for when we set our plans in motion."
The white-haired girl stood up, stretching hands upward. Her back cracked a bit, and Emily felt slightly relieved. It wasn't really good to sit still for a long time.
Then a thought went to mind.
"... Has... "Unfettered" contacted you, Gabriel? Olesya?"
She asked. She had a feeling what the answer was, but this was a great concern for Emily. She wanted to know if it was just her that wouldn't get her calls though.
Was the damage to Long beach that bad?
She looked downcast for a moment before she lit up again. "Ah, nevermind."
