[Matrim Gallagher]

Matrim decided to make use of the flames, but he wasn't about to grapple with Ryuu, he didn't want to seriously harm him after all, he just wanted to beat him. That was all, and he would accomplish this, he could tell by Ryuu's lack of an offensive that the fight was getting closer and closer to its finish. Matrim had landed from his airborn assault on his right knee, and his left foot. He pushed off that left foot, and threw a stright right punch for Ryuu's face. Once he had thrown the punch he would pull the fist back, spin to his right, and kick his right foot out once his right side was facing Ryuu, aiming to kick him in the gut.

You've got quite a ways to go still kid..... you're around where Alex was when me and him first fought..... I hope you get stronger quickly.

Matrim wondered if the kid himself had a Qi, but he hadn't seen it so he doubted it.

[Ryuu]

Ryuu's breath was heavy and hard, with each breath, his chest rose and descended rapidly, as he continued to stay standing in his stance, despite the darkness that threatened to overtake him soon. But he fought back against it, he was determined to get as strong as Kazuya had been. Ryuu saw Matrim land on his right knee and left foot after accomplishing his airborn assault, and not wasting a single moment, pushed himself off his left foot, and threw a straight right punch, aiming for Ryuu's face. Ryuu however, was prepared, as his eyes narrowed, and he dodged to his right, somersaulting on the sand, before coming back up into a standing position and went back into his defensive stance. He saw Matrim then pull his fist back, spin to the right, and kick his right foot out once his right side was facing Ryuu, who brought his arms up, ready to defend, as he caught Matrim's foot, the back of his hand resting against his stomach.

His face held a expression of deep concentration, as he used what strength he had, to push Matrim back, giving him one final shove to try to catch him off balance, but man, the guy was heavy, it was like trying to push a tank. Ryuu then leaped back, and took up a simple boxing stance, legs apart, hands out in front, the back of his hands facing Matrim. "Heh, get as strong as Alex? I'll make sure I do," Ryuu chuckled quietly, as he smirked slightly, and finally lifted his head up, revealing his eyes, which had clouded over, "I'll get stronger than Alex, and when I do, we're going to have a rematch." With that said, Ryuu's arms fell, hanging limply by his sides, as he collapsed on his knees, his eyes completely clouded over by now, and fell on his back onto the soft sand. Matrim, you won this fight. But I'll fight you again, and I'll be stronger than before. Don't you forget it. He was out. Ryuu didn't know if he had a Qi or not, but when he did find out, regardless, he was going to fight and get stronger.

But right now, Ryuu needed to get to the hospital, to get his burns treated. They weren't life-threatening, but they would take time to heal. He would keep the memory of his cousin, Kazuya Hikari, alive. He would not allow Kazuya to fade away into nothingness.

Matrim was pushed back, and he somersaulted off of his left shoulder in a diagonal motion. He was on all fours with his hands on the sand, still on fire. He observed Ryuu, who had started talking out of nowhere. But to Matrim he looked a little winded, "Heh, get as strong as Alex? I'll make sure I do."

"Don't get as strong. Get stronger."

"I'll get stronger than Alex, and when I do, we're going to have a rematch."

"We'll have one before then, you can count on that." Matrim said in return, still on all fours ready to lunge out whenever. Then Ryuu's arms fell and he collapsed. He had been knocked out, maybe from sheer exhaustion from the attacks Matrim had delivered, either way Matt was taken back by the whole deal. He took a few moments to see if Ryuu was going to move, and when he and when he didn't for awhile Matrim got up and approached him. He looked down at his hands, shut his eyes as he opened up the fists. He relaxed and took a few deep breaths. He hadn't used this Qi before, so he wasn't used to putting the flames out.

After a few moments of trying he was tempted to just throw his hands in the water, but he didn't do it in case the flames didn't go out and he just caused steam to rise in his face. So he concentrated and it left him. The flames went away, and he had gotten used to this new Qi. He understood it for the most part. He felt more and more exhausted as it went on, and it drained his spiritual energy a little to get it going. He smiled and looked down at Ryuu, "Well, this has definitely been interesting for me."

Matrim picked Ryuu's unconscious body up and walked away to get a cab, whistling as he walked. He would take the boy to the hospital to get him checked out for his burns. That way he could get some creams or ointments for the burns and get properly treated with bandages and stuff.
