When allowed on his two feet, Trizen gasped for air. The young boy dropped to his knees with one hand resting while the other palmed the ground. It was nothing short of a miracle that David decided to let go just in time, the boy was almost blue.
"You... that..." He was a bit disoriented when David had thrown the armour down in front of him, but was on his way to managing his bearings. "You're giving me your... why...?" Trizen seemed to have missed the explanation when it happened. But then his sub-conscious, spirit, whatever it was, seemed to fill him in.
When realizing what happened, he was surprised. He looked up at David and felt nervous. But why? Emily seemed to answer that question. Expectations. They wanted him to learn, fight and experience things for himself. They wanted him to build his own name and learn his way around people. Build his influence on others. He cracked a smirk with the last bit. It made him sound like he was suppose to be a bully.
Looking down the ground, the fifteen year old sophomore picked up his new belongings and made himself stand tall on both feet. He looked at both David and Emily who seemed to take a bit of pride in themselves for showing Trizen the ropes. Who could blame them. They were the heroes. The ones who stood the ground for those who couldn't. It seemed they had a young one on their hands now. One that wanted to learn what they learned. Do what they did. Trizen smirked again and coughed a laugh as he caught himself think of them as though they were going to retire. They were still kids after all.
For the while, Trizen didn't know what to say. Well... he did, but he just had to figure out the words. He had a big thing in his head. Thing being speech. Some kind of significant rather, but he wasn't about to spew all of it. He was still kind of dizzy. The smirk previously worn turned into a grin. His famous grin.
"Promise."
