Out in the courtyard, young Trizen sat quietly under the shade of a large tree as he waited for two students to fulfill their promise. In his mind, the fifteen year old quietly calculated the memories of his training from years past and thought about how intense this session might be. Lucky for him, it was a beautiful afternoon outside as school was over and everyone had gone home. There wasn't much to see out in the courtyard, but either way, he knew it would be best since it gave him room to focus.
'I wonder what they plan for me to do...' Trizen thought as he remembered the conversation he had with them some time ago. He remembered when Emily was in the hospital from a gun wound, while him and David stayed to keep her company. He remembered what they told him. They wanted him to get stronger. They wanted him to be able to protect the ones he cared for. Now they would have the opportunity to help him get to that place, he was not about to refuse.
"Mom..." he whispered quietly in a prayer, "I won't let father hurt anyone else... I'll be strong one day..." Trizen looked down to the soil as he remembered the words whispered the day of his mother's funeral. He hoped here would be the first step in realizing that promise.
'Man... I gotta make sure I don't make a promise I can't keep,' he thought to himself with a bit of a smirk. But he knew if any two would be able to help him get there it would be these two: David Blaze and Emily Santos.

"Good afternoon, Trizen." She said, looking at Trizen from the other side of the tree in another branch. "Glad to see you're early."
The white-haired girl smiled, as if nothing chaotic happened to Militia the day before. After all, there was no reason to brood over such matters, and it wasn't going to be helpful if she showed her emotions.
In truth, Emily was in despair. It was if everything had broken apart while she wasn't looking -- God knows that she thought she shouldn't have left "Unfettered" in Long beach.
If she only knew that 259 would come to this, then she would've never left him.
Unfortunately, that was how life played for the girl. "Ready to train now or are we going to wait for David?"

David took a deep breath, watching the two from atop the roof. It had become a custom for him, to stand watch from up there, helping when he knew nobody was looking. He seemed to be unable to steer clear of that vigilante attitude. It seemed like nothing had changed for him, except this part nobody knew about. He was glad for it. Gave him reason to relax. He jumped forward, grabbing the edge of the roof and swinging his body over, his feet connecting with the edge and digging in, David keeping his hand on the wall as he slid down it. He jumped down and moved toward Trizen menacingly. He would come within range and throw a punch, aimed for the young males face. It wasnt particularly fast, but if it connected it would hurt.
He was moving at a level that would be challenging for the male, but wasnt overboard to where he would be dominating the kid. What was his point? The prupose of it? Only David would know, though the point had in fact been shared with Emily, so he knew that her part was next.

Trizen smiled quite naturally on hearing Emily's voice. It's something he came to understand as something bright and graceful, but of course he had no set of charm or tact to be able to say what he would have liked. Instead out of his mouth came the intolerable and puberty strike squeak of, "Hiya!"
He shut his mouth firmly afterwards and made a sort of disappointing face with himself. His eyes narrows and shook his head knowing she was probably chuckling deep inside. Though the day seemed forgiving enough so far. He had finished his homework and had done well on a test earlier that day, nothing really could have squashed such a day other than that.
"Ready to train now or are we going to wait for David?"
"Oh yeah..." As much as Trizen was excited, whatever thought he had about having a great day had come to a close. The memories of his father training him from the age of seven simply did enough to inspire a sort of tired enthousiasm to the whole thing. Well, almost. "I think we should wait for David. He might be --"
!!!
For the moment, he felt his body responding on its own again. The feeling that time slowed for that bit of an instant, though Trizen knew it was simply an adrenaline rush. Simply. What a word. In any case, Trizen's body sunk lower than he was, in his already slouched position, until he was practically on his back. With his hands on the truck of the tree, he push himself further along the dirt and grass to slide just under David's flying body. To any athlete, it would have looked like David had avoided a slide tackle.
Soon, the zone returned to normal as Trizen quickly got up and turned around. He had to gain his bearings quickly. "What the hell?!" He shouted at David. The fifteen year old didn't know what really happened aside from him almost getting the tar knocked out of him. "What are you attacking me for?!"

"Training!" Emily said, having switched branches while the two were at it a moment ago, jumped down and would try to have both her feet hit Trizen's back. The momentum of this move would increase due to the pull of gravity, and of course -- this could hit him rather badly.
Should he roll away, Emily would allow her knees to bend upon landing and with a fan in hand, try to hit him in the back with a hard slap.
"You want to be stronger, so be it!" She said, after landing.
Sorry. Lame post. Couldn't think of anything else to say...

((Haha! I know how you feel!))
As Trizen asked his question, of course he didn't forsee Emily cunning attack. His ears picked up her sound as she moved, but his body was too slow to respond as he was still trying to make sense of what was happening. On hearing the word that made sense to his mind, his body reacted too slowly as he was kicked from behind and pushed a good distance off. Takano nearly fell over, but caught himself in recovery of landing. The freshman turned to see that it was going to be two-on-one. Was this fair? To be honest, he knew it didn't matter much. His teachers often told him numbers were irrelevant -- though, he would learn why if this fight went well.
Taking a deep breath, Trizen decided to stay on the offensive edge and locked his eyes on both David Blaze and Emily Santos. At a normal walking pace, the fifteen year old boy began to make his way straight to where Emily and David stood. When he was within leg's react, it wasn't long before his pace sped up and would soon aim a swift roundhouse kick to Emily's head. As his body followed through, she would likely have to dodge both feet as his body rotation suggested.

Her last name was not Santos. It was DELOS SANTOS.
Common mistake.
Trizen rushed forward to do a butterfly kick to her head. However, that would prove a little fallacious, as Emily would try to dodge the first hit by bending her knees, making her shorter by a foot and he would barely miss her head by a couple of inches. The second kick would be met with Emily's hand, as the girl would try to grab it by the ankle as she would try to flip Trizen over, using his own move against him. Of course, his hands would be free.
Emily wasn't very offensive in nature, so this move was quite natural to her now.
Trying to get back in the gist of fighting. Any problems? You know where to find me, Thomas... Corey. ;P

((It's all good, its been a little while for me too.))
Feeling the swift miss of the first kick, Trizen's butterfly kick had gone undone until the second kick managed to hit something. For a brief moment, Trizen felt a bit of relief as he thought he managed to hit her... not quite. She caught him and at the same moment, managed to use his momentum against him by flipping him over. Of course this resulted in him being flipped several times before the fated fall.
However, in recovery, Trizen did use his hands and caught himself using his arms as a bit of a spring board. The momentum from the flip allowed him in that very smooth transition to do a couple of flairs in rotation. With each rotation, he regained control of his body and decided to counter-attack with a reverse roundhouse kick. In the final flaire's spin, he did three kicks in rotation. One down low, one mid-range and the other up high.

David smiled in his head as the young Trizen dodged his attack- stable reflexes, ansered well to an attack, though he missed his opportunity. He was too cautious, even if he considered Blaze a friend. When you were attacked, you didnt stop to ask questions- for all Trizen knew David could be a traitor, and though it wasnt true Trizen would do well to take future opportunities. David mentally grimaced as well when Emily told the boy that it was training- David hadnt intended on the kid knowing until after they were done. But it made no difference,Trizen shot in, aiming to land a blow on Emily. The young Ex-Captain of 259 retaliated, only to find four kicks on the path to her body.
None of them would land, however.
David, during all of this, had been moving slowly while Trizen was concentrated on Emily, coming in behind the boy while his attention and determination went into the kicks he had yet to throw. David, As Trizen spun for the roundhouse, would suddenly launch forward, aiming a weak kick to the side of Trizens head. At least, it would be wek to him, but would probably to quite a bit of damage to the fourteen year old, since it was unexpexted and came with the lack of attention to him. It was known as a Crescent kick, power incarnate and fast as lightning. He wouldnt be doing this without some sort of purpose, however. His aim wasnt to truly damage Trizen, but to test every ability he currently had, and that went beyond just physical strength or speed.
David, as he would step forward to kick, would also step, deliberately, on a stick, snapping it in two. With the fighting and grunting, it would be barely audible, but would be just enough to reach the kids ears, if he was smart enough to keep his wits about him in that way. If Trizen committed fully to just damaging Emily and didnt let his senses continue to do thier work, he would find a powerful blow to the side of his head which would send his body to the side. In truth, David expected it to land, since Trizen was young and inexperienced. Thats what this was all about- if it did indeed land, then he could help him learn, tell him how to avoid those situations.
His most important obligation through all of this was to, in the future, make sure of one thing.
When Trizen got into a real fight- to make sure he would be the winner.

'Fast--'
That was the only word that actually managed to describe the situation that was around him. It was as though his soul was telling him what to expect, but at the same time, he was fighting the followthrough of his body. He was trying to land a kick at Emily, but far before anything, he heard a noise. A snap. A pretty audible crunch. A twig? A stick? Whatever it was, it gave Trizen the incentive to keep low and follow his instincts.
Trizen had to keep in mind that on fighting one, another would eventually show -- not to mention they were going easy on him, unlike a later found Gabriel Seran. Putting his focus on Emily allowed for him to keep unspoken tabs on where David was. The boy was still a rookie in the game, they would go easy on him and what other logical choice would there be except to try and sneak up on him? Though that thought alone was pretty costly, Trizen could have lost the bout in one blow with that kind of naivety; thankfully, it wasn't so.
Like previously said, Trizen followed his instincts and kept low to do the low-round roundhouse. The plan was to do two others, but kept against it as this strike just brushed Emily to sweep around and go for David's standing leg instead. With David attempting to hit a target no longer there, Trizen hoped he acted on his impulse fast enough to knock David off his foot.
If successful, Trizen would end his spin and within that same instant charge at him with his right elbow with the intention to hit him wherever hurt most.

Pressed for time, as sister is demanding her computer time. I'll make this short. If I'm misunderstanding anything, please let me know.
Emily was impressed so far. But this will have to end. Assessment time is over. Seeing David come closer for his own assault on Trizen caused her to take one step back as to try and prevent herself from getting caught in the crossfire.
Either way, Trizen's own kick merely brushed against Emily's legs as the low-roundhouse kick now averted it's target to David. The moment Trizen's back would be exposed to Emily, she would then try to give him a hard kick to his lumbar area, hoping to give him a decent spot of pain as well as to try and knock him over onto his chest.
"I think we've assessed you enough." Emily would say, should the kick hit.
She looked at David and nodded. Trizen was promising, she'd give him that.

David was no amatuer- he knew that the snapping of the twig would likely give him away, so instead of following through with the roundhouse to the head, he simply whipped the leg back down and planted it firmly on the leg that was spinning toward him, this time utilizing his full ability to try and put a stop to the sweep, instead of using his training powers to keep the boy on his toes. He wouldnt try to injure the leg, just stop it from moving. He would release the leg and smile up at the Emily, giving her a little nod. It was true, the boy had serious potential. He could rival some of the greats if he could get his physical abilities higher.
David would step back, stretch, then surge forward, reaching down and scooping up Young trizen by the neck. With the distance they had between each other and the far superiority in his abilities compared to Trizens, it should be no problem. He would charge with Trizen, crushing him down on a bench, aiming to bring him pain. Then, grabbing him by the scruff of the collar, hoping this either made him mad or made him cry, David would pull him close and yell at him.
"IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT- STRENGTH AND POWER?"
Trizen teared up a little, but showed determination through the fear and pain.
"Y-yes!" came the answer from the boy beneath him.
David would pull Trizen closer, staring straight into his eyes.
"Why?"
Simple question...very important answer. Important to Emily, Important to David...
Most of all, Important to Trizens future.

This hurt. Far more along than what Trizen would have expected. He was hurting everywhere and it wasn't helping that David Blaze had suddenly snapped. Trizen let his guard down when Emily had said what she did. But he should have known better. Emily was much nicer than Mister Blaze was. It was almost night and day when it came to their personalities.
'It hurts...' David was gripping his neck quite hard, then when he grabbed his collar, Trizen did want to cry but said what he did with a face that would have resembled a courage -- or so he hoped. Trizen was petrified, but summed up whatever strength he had to show David he was not afraid of him. He wouldn't. Then it came. That one question. Why.
"My... my..." he wanted to take a bigger breath, but David's hold was tight and very firm. He struggled to breathe.
"My whole life... I've had people look out for me and protect me... they would put their own on the line to protect me. Because they cared for me... I see you and Emily do it. I've seen you do it for this school. For your friends... for the Millitia and what you believe in." He started and was gasping for air at this point. His brown eyes kept straight into that of David's with the words that followed, "I want to protect the ones I love."

David sat holding Trizens collar in silenec when he finished, searching his eyes. The average reader may ask why the young Blaze had exploded, but it was really quite simple- he didnt really know Trizen. He knew the boys name, that he considered David a mentor of sorts. But he knew nothing of what he wanted from life, why he wanted to try and fight when all others had abandoned the cause. When even he abandoned the cause. David lifted Trizen to his feet, planting him securing there and flicking a peice of wood off his shoulder. He sighed, then a smile played across his face as he stelled himself for the coming storm. He wouldnt be a part of it, but he would help those who would to weather it.
"I believe you Trizen. I ask that that be the only reason you ever fight- to protect life. Its the only just cause i could ever see for training you and giving you strength." He reached over with his left arm, grabbing the Arm gaurds on his right and unstrapping them. He did the same with his left arm. He reached down, unbuckling the boots around his feet, taking his socks off with them since he had a pair of shoes in his cars. He set them both in front of Trizen. "These are now yours. learn to use them, train with them, then meet me and Emily in the gym one week from today." This was Davids way of Giving Trizen a boost in his strength- in the Gym, he would give him the skill. He rustled Trizens hair.
"Your a good kid. Stay that way." He looked over at Emily and gave her a confidential nod- next time they met they would speak to Trizen about the things they should be speaking to them about. Until then, David would train too, and work his hardest to become better.

Emily smiled at the two as their conversation went on. Trizen had a lot of promise; actually, even more potential than Emily ever had. He just needed to be a little more aggressive. "Don't wait for Me and David to train you; Fight and learn from experience yourself. You won't be stronger by just depending on me and David." She smiled at trizen and smiled. "... and strength isn't always measurable by how many people you've won a fight against. You have to build your own name, and learn your way around people. Learn to push your influence on others, and make them listen to you."
She didn't mean it as him learning to be a bully, but rather, she meant it for him to take up leadership in his own way.
