Matrim had made an announcement in the school that if anybody wanted to reach him they could find him in Golden Gate Park. He had been resting there, meditating and trying to focus on healing. It was times like this he really missed Ceanna and her Qi. Of course, that was all gone now. She was in the past. He had bigger worries, and that was the present. His performance with soccer would be somewhat dulled down because of his injuries, he'd be forced to switch out of his position as goal keeper, which meant trusting someone else as a last defense against enemy teams. Matrim hated having to trust others with that responsibility.
In the end he found himself with no other solution then to play forward. He'd be able to use his legs more, he'd be able to score a goal for every goal scored against them. That way while they lost their best defense, they gained a greater scorer. It wasn't conceit that fueled Matrim's mind so much as the truth. He played soccer, it was what he did. He was good at it. It was perhaps the only sport he had ever really gotten into.
So there Matrim sat, leaning against a tree with his eyes shut, sitting down, arms in casts and slings, he was barefoot and wearing nothing but a button up white t-shirt and jeans. Relaxing in the nice San Fransisco weather.

Adrian had heard through the grapevine that Matrim spent most of his free time hanging out at the local park, enjoying the weather and the sights. Adrian found that a bit odd, for sure, but he had been trying his hardest to not instantly judge before without talking to them and at least attempting to get to know them better.
And who better to attempt to speak to than his new superior, as Varsity Captain?
And so, Adrian made his way to the park, noticing a boy who fit Matrim's personal description leaning against a tree, eyes closed as if he were asleep. Adrian sauntered up to him, unable to contain himself from a jab at the boy.
"Hey... you hippie."

"Hey... you hippie." Matrim heard someone say, and one of his eyes peaked to see the captain of the football team, the lead jock himself, Adrian. Matrim let out a small laugh, bringing his right foot up underneath him, and pushing off of it so he was standing. He was getting better at getting up without using his arms. He figured that by the time he perfected the art his arms would be fine. Though right now they weren't.
"Well, if it isn't Adrian," Matrim learned the name, especially since they had that moment. You know, the one Matrim would repress until the day that he died, "Come here for a nice walk in the park or did you need something?"
It was probably the latter. The odds of a team captain randomly walking into the Varsity Captain given that his location was known at school? Well, it was possible, just not probable. So he'd listen and see what the kid wanted. After all, he did extend an offer to pay for the football team equipment. Perhaps this was him coming to Matrim with a list of things he needed.

"I don't know, honestly," Adrian would reply, also doing his best to push the traumatic incident out of his mind. Whether he liked it or not, however, Matrim and he would be closer than any other male acquaintance he'd ever had, simply because they were bonded in their desire to forget what had happened to them.
"It's not about football equipment. Trust me, anything we need, I can get myself."
Adrian paused, thinking a bit. What exactly was he here for? A smirk crossed his lips as he regarded the boy.
I did say I wanted my revenge for him in the gym.... you know...
"You know what, Matrim," Adrian began, regarding the boy's broken arms with a nod towards one of them. "I know how that must be. Mathew broke my arm and my other hand, back at 259. People are gonna be gunning for your spot now that they consider you to be weaker. What do you plan to do about that?"

"I know how that must be. Mathew broke my arm and my other hand, back at 259. People are gonna be gunning for your spot now that they consider you to be weaker. What do you plan to do about that?"
Apparently this had been a social visit of some sort. And he even questioned Matrim a bit, and he couldn't help but laugh as he looked at Adrian, "Surely you must be joking, right? Here I don't have to worry about losing the title to anyone. Even with broken arms, they only provide me with an advantage..."
He laughed and a menacing grin crossed his face, "Gives me a challenge, and it makes them underestimate me. You'd be surprised what I'm truly capable when I'm pushed to the limits. After all, the fight that ended with my arms broken didn't end with the other guy making the last move. No, it ended with me making one last wrestling move without the use of my arms just to prove that I could keep on fighting. If anything, these arms should serve as a reminder that I am not a challenge to be taken lightly."
Matrim began laughing, looking at Adrian, "Perhaps you'd like to take me on and see for yourself?"

Adrian allowed the man to speak, and listened to him explain just how he got those broken arms. Of course, the wealthy youngster wasn't particularly surprised to hear that quiet cockiness from the Varsity Captain; the way the boy carried himself was evident of that.
Adrian nodded in understanding, realizing the psychological advantage two broken arms could have. Even so, the boy still felt that the physical disadvantage well out-weighed the psychological advantage.
Soon, he would get the chance to find out. Adrian smirked, nodding his acceptance to the challenge. "Alright, o Captain my Captain," he said, mockingly, but not derisively so; it was much more like Adrian's good-natured jabs towards Mathew, "Just don't get mad if I put you on the floor faster than you think."

"Just don't get mad if I put you on the floor faster than you think." Matrim laughed. Mostly because people seemed to think that he would be upset because someone beat him. He only got upset when people were crap fighters, or disappointed him. As to people beating him, it made him happy knowing that he had someone who was worthy, someone who created a challenge. The simple fact of the matter was that this boy hadn't really done much of that. Sure he was good fight to some extent, but he seriously doubted whether this kid could be that challenge.
So Matrim would get the fight started spartan style, quickly lifting his right knee up and driving the heal of his right foot towards the kids sternum. Resisting the urge to yell 'This Is Sparta!'. After the kick, he would bring the leg back down and wait for the boy to make a move. He was going to be rather reactive with his fighting, after all there was a tree behind him, and he had a few ideas as to how to use said tree against Adrian.
Bring it on Blondie......

Adrian had primed himself and was ready for action, and so, when Matrim kicked out, he was tensed up and able to react just as it happened. In came quite the epic Spartan Kick, but Adrian shifted his body to the left, allowing the foot to pass by directly in front of his chest instead of impacting against it.
As he did this, Adrian would shunt his shoulder forward, clearing the distance between the two men and looking to shoulder-charge the Varsity captain directly into the tree he had been until now leaning upon. He didn't use his hands, at least not yet. Subconsciously, Adrian seemed to figure that if Matrim had to fight with a handicap, he would too. It never occured to him that his inexperience and refusal to use his feet in a fight was already a handicap of its own.

Matrim was expecting something like this, something to get the boys momentum towards Matrim, so Matrim dodged to the right pushing off of his left foot. He turned his body so that he continued to face Adrian as he did this, he brought his left foot down to the ground and swung his right foot towards Adrians back in an attempt to hit him and propel his momentum even further so that he would hit the tree harder then he had anticipated. After this attempt Matrim would jump back to distance himself from Adrian.
"Don't hold back on me now," Matrim would say with a smirk on his face. It was always Matrim's style to talk during a fight, it did a number of things for him and it usually helped him fight. At least up until the point where he had to concentrate. Matrim would drop low so that his right knee was almost touching the ground, his left leg planted in front of him, he was preparing for the kids next attack. He knew the kid focused on upper body from their fight from before, he didn't know if that was just the kid half assing the fight so he could keep going, "After all it's not like I'm paraplegic."

Adrian was ready for the tree, at least somewhat. He wasn't fast enough to dodge it; and Matrim's boot in his back wouldn't help matters much either. However, Adrian was on the football team for a reason. As his body threatened to slam into the tree, Adrian turned his right shoulder into it, letting the meaty part of his upper arm and shoulder hit the tree as he spun backwards to his right, juking around the tree as if he were carrying the football and the tree was a defensive lineman.
Now the tree once again stood between Matrim and Adrian, but the young boxer wasn't about to let that stay for long.
"Well you might be before this is over," Adrian replied to Matrim's last comment, stepping around the tree and coming into range with the Varsity Captain, punching straight for the boy's face with a quick right jab. Adrian didn't figure the boy could block it without the use of hands, but he was ready just in case, with his left hand up by his face, defending one of his weaker areas.

(OOC: If I remember correctly my stats in this are all 40's and my arms are broken.... K, yup that's correct. ^^ Just reminding myself with this note for the rest of the thread)
The boy showed his football moves, and Matrim was impressed. The kid improvised and used his sports knowledge, applying it to fighting. Matrim's father did something like that with dancing, although Matrim learned to actually fight and actually dance, not a mixture of the two things. So you might say that it made Matrim get the warm fuzzies seeing someone else make a makeshift fighting style like that. Still, it didn't stop Matrim's focus for long.
"Well you might be before this is over," He said, getting in range of Matrim and shooting a Jab at Matrim's face, Matrim dodged, tilting his head to the right he let the punch get fully extended, if he pulled it back quickly he'd put his head back, otherwise he'd hit the side of the fist with his head, bringing his right knee up to slam it towards Adrian's left side. He hoped he would do some rib damage, he was going to have to focus on kicks for this fight, he didn't want to agitate his injuries any.

When the jab was dodged, Adrian snapped the hand back into a ready position, watching Matrim duck his head back into position. Not only was he fast, the Varsity Captain was precise. Adrian was starting to wonder if he would even be able to win against this guy, even with both of his arms being broken.
The knee shot up, and Adrian shot his left arm down in response. He kept the arm angled, throwing an elbow down at the top of the kneecap. The elbow would connect with the top of the knee, likely sending a quick shock of pain down Matrim's leg for a moment, but most importantly, slamming the leg down before it could reach Adrian's ribs. To follow-up his combination, Adrian's left arm was already chambered from the elbow, so he swung it forward in a low hook punch, stepping into it with his left leg as he did so. He was looking to hit Matrim in the midsection, at his lower ribs, hoping to do similar damage to what the Varsity Captain had attempted on him only second earlier.

A pain shot through Matrim's leg as he was hit on the knee cap with an elbow. Luckily Matrim was tough, but the kid had skill, he'd give him that. He then went to punch Matrim in the gut, Matrim responded by tightening his abs and planting that right leg down again, working through the pain. He had an epic response too, as the boy stepped forward, Matrim began his plan.
It would look like he was lurching forward in pain, except in reality he was planning something. Once he had done this he would press forward shooting his head towards Adrians chin, hoping to hit him hard to rattle that brain of his, he would follow through the motion pressing his body against Adrian's and pushing, he would bring his right leg up and if Adrian had been knocked backwards he would jump off of his left foot and try to step down as Adrian fell back on the kids gut. If the kid fell back completely Matrim would hope to end with all his weight on the kids stomach as he launched off of it, going forward to step above the kid with his left foot and get away.

Adrian's blow connected, and Matrim lurched forward in pain. This was somewhat strange to the rich youngster, as he didn't figure he had hit him that[/it] hard, but he didn't dwell on it much. A hit was a hit, and so he began working on a follow-up blow, until, of course, Matrim's head surged forth in a headbutt.
Adrian, as a boxer, rarely let his chin jut out. Today, he had been sloppy, but still had it positioned so that it took less time for him to tuck his chin than it would for Matrim to hit him. As the head came in, Adrian turned his face to the right and bit down hard on his own teeth, taking the forehead in the cheek. It hurt, and a bruise would very likely swell up. However, as Matrim pushed forward, he would not have the surprise necessary anymore to take Adrian off his feet. Adrian's foot positioning gave him a slanted position relative to Matrim, and the Varsity Captain's forward progression wouldn't be enough on its own to bowl him over.
With his left hand, which had slipped past Matrim's ribs to his back, Adrian simply pushed on the back, pushing Matrim farther along his course. His right hand, meanwhile, would swing down and then back up, uppercutting into Matrim's stomach as he would try to press into him. With his face turned as it was, Adrian would not be able to see his own attack; however, in such close quarters, it would be quite hard to miss the Varsity Captain's stomach after all.
After the punch, if successful, Adrian would remove his hand from the boy's gut and turn his body to the right, continuing to push Matrim with his left hand in a matador-style pass, leaving Matrim's back to Adrian. He would not press the offensive, however; Matrim was the Varsity Captain, and Adrian had no desire to strike him in the back. Were it a real fight, he would have had no qualms.

Crap....
Matrim's headbutt connected, but he wasn't strong enough or capable enough to throw Adrian off balance as he was punched in the gut and then sent forward. He had lurched forward, Matrim stumbled forward expecting an onslaught of an attack only to find nothing had happened to him. He turned quickly, spitting blood off to the side. This kid was good. Skilled, tough, and determined. He wasn't going to be beat by a cripple.
"You're good," Matrim said, preparing for his next attack. He would have to focus on kicking, even if it was a bit suicidal, he had to bank on damaging himself in order to damage his opponent, or bank on attacks that might be reckless. Which sucked because he knew this guy was good. Matrim might actually lose this tumble, and wouldn't that be funny? Matrim smirked, a small line of blood at the corner of his lips that he wouldn't wipe since both arms were broken.
I'll fight him to the best of my ability without Qi or arms, I won't go any further then that. If he wins, then so be it....
Matrim would charge, and he would slide to kicking range, his left foot planting sideways with the inside of the foot towards Adrian. Matrim's right leg would shoot up, the heel of his right foot would shoot out towards Adrian's neck, he would snap the leg back at the knee, lower the leg and throw a second kick towards the kids left side, and assuming his leg had not been grabbed he would bring the leg back down quickly, shifting his body towards the right. He would hop off of his left foot sending it towards Adrian's right side, aiming to put his right foot down around the same time as an impact might occur.
