"Could you be so selfish? This burden falls upon the shoulders of the entire Moral Crest collective. Not only the students, but the teachers as well. So what if you have good grades? You may be pulling the school's GPA up, but it is evident by Mr. Winstrum's presence here today that it is not enough. Were you hoping that the students that maintained good grades would be relieved of punishment should Moral Crest fail to meet the board's standards? We should help those that need to improve their grades, because in a way, they are representing us. All of us represent each other under the banner of 'Moral Crest High'. If Moral Crest falls, we all fall. Are you willing to stand by idly, maintaining your 3.8 GPA while the rest of us barely manage to pass? Or will you take an active role in redeeming Moral Crest's name?" Ryuu could only smirk inwardly at the Asian student who, for the majority of Mr. Orange's speech, had hung in the background, only when Ryuu had spoken up, did he finally step forward, into the spotlight you could say.
Ryuu continued to maintain the frighteningly calm expression on his face, as all around him, low murmurs began to break out, accumulating into a loud, incessant hum as the students mingled with each other, talking about what had just been said. "I don't recall ever specifically stating I had good grades, all I merely asked was which students are we speaking of that have low scores," Ryuu replied in a soft tone that, despite the murmurs of the students, who ceased as soon as Ryuu spoke, could be clearly heard, even by those way in the back, "Because then perhaps those who are doing well, could help those who aren't. If you never ask, you will never know, Mr. Winstrum is not a mind reader, he cannot read my mind and tell me the answers I seek. Are you implying I only care about myself? Who are you to state that, when you know absolutely nothing about me. For all you know, I could be an average student, or even a student who is not as... 'gifted' as others, for a lack of a better word." Ryuu couldn't help but smirk even more inwardly, he was not ticked off by the Asian student's words, but instead, welcomed the challenge.
He wanted to be in the spotlight, well Ryuu would put him in the spotlight. "And another thing, did it ever occur to you, that maybe those who are receiving average grades, do so because they have a busy schedule, or have other priorities hey deem more important, or simply chose to do so? Not everyone who is average could have the time to try to improve their grades, there is simply not enough hours in the day to do so. Not everyone who is barely passing, can have their situation redeemed through simple aid from those who are not, there are multiple factors and situations one must take into account before taking action." Ryuu heard murmurs break out once more to Ryuu's response, which he had a hunch, applied to quite a few here. Let's see what Seung-Ri's rebuttal would be to Ryuu's answer.
