Arkady was on his way to the smoothie shop for his interview, gliding gracefully across the rooftops. He was taking a slightly different route this time. He wanted to get some extra exercise during his free run, so he decided to run to the top of a parking garage.
It was strange that he chose a parking garage as his lift off point, especially after just getting his stitches torn out. A parking garage had been where he was originally stabbed, but to conquer one's fears they must face them. Conveniently this time he hadn't ran into a drug deal...
When he made it to the top he set off on his bearings from the roof of the garage onto apartments of all types. On one of the rooftops though he found one Kate, leader of the Cheerleaders. He had been keeping an eye on her and observing her unique talents... Wrong talent asshole...
"Hey Kate! Mind doing a favor for me?"

The blonde had just parked her car and gotten out. The girl was wearing dark wash jeans, a white blouse and a black leather jacket. A dark pair of shades were perched on her nose to help those emerald eyes hide from the sun's rays. She was closing her door, and walking away from her car when she heard her name. Along with the words of helping someone. Doing someone a favor. Those didn't always end well.
The girl turned and those shaded emerald eyes fell on someone she really hadn't thought about in the recent events of her life. One of the members of her cheer squad, the only boy. The tall, skinny, weird haired one. One eyebrow lifted and she looked slightly confused.
"Arkady? Well, I guess it depends on the favor, to be honest."
Yeah she didn't agree to things blindly. Kate had learned a few lessons about that one. The only people she'd agree to favors blindly would probably be Linda and Adrian. Her best friend and her boyfriend. Everyone else would have to explain what the hell they wanted from her first.

"Arkady? Well, I guess it depends on the favor, to be honest."
Good she was at least a little bit on her toes when it came to contracts. It would be important for her to know what she was getting herself into. Arkady was a researcher first and foremost, he wanted an understanding of Qi. Kate being a Qi sensitive was part of the answer to his question.
"Good good, I'd worry if you didn't ask what I wanted."
Why did things always seem to sound dirty when around Kate? Arkady definitely did not want to seem just plain out creepy when it came to his friends... Or sort of friends... Mildly creepy was fine, but full blown creepy was just asking for trouble.
"Well, I was wondering if I could get a sample of your blood for my research. Nothing too serious."
Yep, still creepy sounding, but that was for Kate to single out. To himself he sounded like some kind of creepy stalker guy. He couldn't care what she thought about it though, it for his needs and eventually a solution for a growing problem.

Wait, what? What the fuck? Really, what the fuck? One eyebrow arched almost into her hair line and her face made it clear that what he had just asked went far into the "WHAT THE FUCK?" areas of her mind. The girl cocked her head to the side and just stared at him.
"Well, considering that I run businesses myself and all, I don't agree to things like that right off the bat. Also, considering that some of my safes are bio engineered you better damn well tell me what your research is so I don't sue you half around the world. Or kick your ass."
Yeah, he probably hadn't know that she ran all the businesses she owned. In a small sort of way, but she still did the work and all that jazz. Now she was waiting for a real answer. What the hell was his research, and why the hell did he need her blood? No, her blood wasn't needed for her safes... but if you had blood you were one step closer to finding out other information about her. Genetics and eye scans and shit.

Well, that was way too much of an offshoot. Who would have thought there would be so much tussle over a dabble of blood. If one has several pints of blood in their body, why is it so touchy for them to release such a miniscule amount.
"Well, now that you've just revealed out loud an entire set of reasons for my research to require your blood... Actually you were about as accurate as American Artillery from 300,000 meters with your predictions..."
He was going to request what he needed once again, actually revealing his perilous research. He wasn't too open with it, but when asked about it he wasn't afraid to disclose any information. It's not like he had anything to hide or something...
"No, my research has to do with the lifeblood of Qi sensitives such as you and I. I'm researching the evolving anatomy of the human psyche and life force. Why? Personal hobby... Nothing more, nothing less."

He was researching Qi? Well, that would be something good to figure the fuck out. Her own Qi was interesting, and rather helpful in fights. The blonde wouldn't like to loose it, but would like to know where the hell it came from. But, after a comment like that? She couldn't just hand it over to him. Nothing could be easy when it came to Kate. So she smiled at him.
"Of course you can have a sample. If..."
She trailed off, and held up a hand. Her slender fingers began to twist as her Qi began to activate. Yeah, she was showing some of her cards before they started, with all the bones and such going out of place, but it let him know exactly what her Qi was. Or at least a hint, as her hand just twisted in a sick fashion.
"If you can do decently well in a fight against me."

"If you can do decently well in a fight against me."
Arkady wiped his brow in relief, he was a researcher, but he was stronger than he looked. Just as much the case as Kate... Sort of. She walked off and began doing flexy things with hands, which was pretty disturbing to start with. After about a second of cringing from the sight of Kate reversing her palm, Arkady centered himself once again ready for a tussle.
"Well, okay... Just don't give me any more stitches than I just had torn out..."
With that, Arkady began a dash towards Kate. When he got close enough he'd leap for Kate's turned head. His legs would be at an angle as he'd turn around in mid air to try and grab Kate under her jaw bone to try and pull his legs down to kick into her with terminal velocity. If he succeeded, he'd end up with some good distance between himself and a dirty Kate.
If Kate was intelligent though and had eyes in the back of her head, she'd probably duck and he'd land right in front of her ready to strike. If she'd try to yank him from the air he would have his legs at such an angle that he'd be able to roll on contact with the ground.

And here came the boy, running to suddenly leap in the air. Granted, Kate wasn't use to people leaping in the air and all that jazz, but she could tell that she was faster than this boy. There just weren't too many people out there who could match her, could they? Kate was beginning to wonder if she could take Linda. The thought scared her slightly, but she was still interested in it.
And when in doubt, OPTION C!!! Do something they never plan on! Kate ran forward, ducking as she went so that the girl was under Arkady. She'd spin on her right leg, swinging her left around to where he should have been landing, lower so he had a smaller chance of dodging the damned thing. Her left arm would be striking high, just in case he stood as a normal person would. So she could hit him in two places at once. Wooo hooo! Kate loved to fight.

Well... She was sort of ducking? He landed and had to react quickly to avoid being kicked in the legs to be knocked down. He'd jump over the legs as a warm up bounce, but by the time he landed a fist was coming at him. So with his warm up bounce having charged up the spring in his legs, he launched backwards into a back handspring, trying to kick at Kate during the launch.
His kick would at least knock the punch away as he distanced himself from Kate. As Arkady realigned himself he'd be ready to roll off to the side should Kate try and get a shot at him while he was off balance.
This was a confusing fight as Kate didn't really have a particular style for Arkady to watch for. Unfortunately for Arkady, his strength was based from knowledge and having the know how on his opponent. There were many that looked to chaos mongering for a fighting talent. Going for anything that seemed efficient...
Damn Americans...

Well, he was a quick bugger... but Kate? Kate was much quicker. And she was already getting tired of his bouncy shit. They weren't even that far into this fight (it had barely started) and Kate was already ready to beat the tar out of this tall mother fucker. So as he was flipping on past her? Yeah, Kate went for the damn well simple foot ball approach.
She tackled him.
And tackled him damn good. Unless he was somehow faster than her, it'd be tough to dodge as she went for the middle portion of his flippy show. And unless he was a tough son of a bitch, this was going to hurt. She'd tackle him straight into the concrete of the parking garage. Flippy jumpy bastard.
From there? Yeah, she'd just throw a right elbow to the kidneys for fun. And if she was facing him? Elbow to the ribs instead.

Kate was trying to catch him in the middle of something, not a counter, but instead an interruption. She was going to tackle him! He saw her shadows movements while having a stare off with the concrete below. With the knowledge within his head now set, his reflex was to collapse himself instead of springing to his feet to receive a speeding hunk of female flesh.
With the angle that he'd be at by the time of Kate's launch, she would hit at the rump as compared to his overall back. This would speed Arkady's downward force of his legs resulting in him stopping the descent on his toes.
Immediately after stopping himself he'd have to get back up again somehow. He'd tuck his head under his torso and use the force of his legs being tucked to roll from his position onto his feet. Or atleast hopefully Kate was preoccupied with standing up herself enough to let him get up as well...
