Kate wasn't the leader. There wasn't going to be a leader in this group, if anything they would be equals. But the blonde supposed that they didn't quite understand that. They had just as much say as she did. Her lips curved just a touch as she began to explain somethings.
"Boys, it's not like that in the least bit. Instead of the Reaper's having a leader, we're all equal. No leader. We all have an equal say and vote in what we do. I just pass along the ideas from other areas of Reapers, and such."
She tossed some hair over her shoulder, smirking just a touch. Kate did have a few ideas that she wanted to present to the group.
"We need to grow our numbers, and we need to take out this silly little kids who are playing at gangs," Sadly, Jester would be the only one who really knew what she was talking about. The gangs back at New York were tougher than this crowd by far. "I'd like to suggest we become mentors to new possible Reapers. One for each of us."
That would increase numbers. Rule of two much?

"Brilliant idea my dear, simply brilliant." I said, my sarcasm PAINFULLY obvious. "Let's just ask some people to join the fucking Freemasons while we're at it. 'Excuse me sir and/or ma'am, would you like to join the Reapers? We're a secret group that works from the shadows. No? Oh... Then you've heard too much...'" I then mimicked the motion of stabbing someone. "Anyone have any ideas how to recruit for a secret group?"
I looked around for answers, knowing it would take a few moments to get any response. Part of me was scolding myself for being so brash in a room of people who were my allies... But meh, it didn't really matter. Unless the Reapers DID something soon, I was out... No point in labeling yourself if you aren't doing shit with it.

"Really, Damien?" Adrian would speak up, regarding him with a raised eyebrow. "And I always took you for one of the smart ones."
Adrian, for one, felt that Kate's plan was as good as any. If Kate, Matrim, Jester and He all picked one person to join them, their numbers would obviously double. And when they were trained, they could train someone themselves, and the original could train more as well. Not just a rule of two, but a Fibonacci sequence. And the more members come in, the less we tell them, and thus a power hierarchy is formed...
Adrian's mind paused as he decided to expand upon his original thought.
"Anonymous recruiting. Notes in lockers, mysterious cell phone texts. Put them to a test, watch them in secret. If they are willing to perform what we want them to, then they can be entrusted with our secret."
Adrian shrugged nonchalantly, as if this was all just the most obvious thing in the world to him.
"Of course, to ensure our trust is deserved, whatever task we give of them has to be something someone wouldn't technically do all by themselves for fun. Probably would have to be something really depraved and fucked up. Hey, Jester, I bet you could be in charge of thinking of stuff!" Adrian would say suddenly, smirking. He leaned back against the wall again and grabbed his bottle of water nearby, and took a swig. Unlike the others, he wasn't drinking. He didn't feel the urge to.

"Well that's how I got in was the creepy little locker invite. Figured what the hell, might as well try out for the gang. The trick is to give them things they can do. Things that can be done, I don't want to have some lightweight chump challenging me for my title, honestly I thought sending me after Olesya was a bit much. Perhaps we can sink two birds with one stone, send them after some of our troubles? See how they measure up with our enemies?" Matrim asked looking around. It was actually a good idea, almost too good of an idea. It got the newbloods a chance to know their enemy. And it showed their devotion to Reapers. It'd make sure they could go after certain people, and if they were capable of it. If so, then they just had a successful attack.
"I bet I could do a little recon for us. As for the new talent, not sure but if anybody tries to recruit Gabriel I'll slap them." Matrim said rather seriously. He thought about all the people he knew and then it came to him, "Travis Delmonte. Hate the bastard but strangely enough he seems the 'do what you what when you want' type. Elmira, sports type... she might be interested. Also a certain guy named Cain... I'll have to check that out. So the question is... do we just go for it? Start sending the random messages? Give them the Reaper symbol and give them a task like it was done for me?"
Matrim looked around, wondering how they would choose who they tried to recruit.

Kate had met the girl Matrim was talking about, but not really anyone else. After all Travis had never given her his name. There were a few she was thinking of as well, a slight smile on her lips. Kate had a feeling that herself, and Damien hadn't been drawn into the Reapers like the others had. Mathew had out and out asked her on her first day back to Cali after so long.
"I think it's a great idea. I have a few people I'd like to send some kids after. Just to see and all. I've been fighting a few, and I can draw up many names that I'd like to consider. But if we all agree on JUST one out of the group each, we won't over spend ourselves."
And if there were lots of them, and little of them the gang wouldn't have any real substance to it. Then people would take them as weak. And the last thing the Reapers wanted to be was weak.
"I think sending them after known trouble makers would be good. Gaberiel... he's on of the ones at the top of my list because he tried to 'convert' me to his following without knowing who I was or what I stood for. He thinks he's going to up sure the pillars and rule the school or something stupid like that."
