Other Halves (Emily)

“I’d like to see all sides of you…”

She was trapped, Gabriel's arms on either side as he leaned forward to go dangerously closer. Kari didn't flinch, grinning still, as if she had things under her control.

“it seems we share something in common." His eyes then changed, as well as his own voice. Strange, it felt weird to be around someone like yourself. Emily never really went through any noticable physical change when she and Kari switched places, however she just dozes off for a moment.

“There’s more than meets the eye.” Kari smired, and poked the boy lightly on the chest before trailing it softly up to his chin.

"Common is good." She said, "but what do you want?"

Gabriel felt the shift, it was apparent and hurt, though the pain was unnaturally pleasurable to his senses they left a stinging pain that reminded him of a newly formed bruise always present despite the absence of any actual hit. Gabriel’s and Reven’s minds were becoming a single entity, so far apart they were but now Gabriel saw what Reven toyed with he was out for Emily, her body, her soul.

"Common is good." She said, "but what do you want?"

Reven felt the tingle of her finger play gingerly across his chest teasing him on though never fully satisfying his urge.

“What I want?” Reven seemed taken aback from the outside, but Gabriel could feel the roiling concussion of what he wanted pain, misery, horrible deeds, he would get them nothing could stop it. “I want more power!” Reven mouthed to her as a hand gripped for her hand trailing along his chin. If a successful hold was indeed attained he’d press her forcefully against the end of the bar. Reven wasn’t coy nor submissive, rather direct and brutal.

“What I want?” He said, “I want more power!”

He grabbed her hand, but Emily and Kari's own physical strength outweighed Gabriel and Reven's own as it refused to move. "You want power, just like everyone else. How ordinary. I desire nothing but death."

Kari rolled her eyes lightly. Kari's own existence was because of Emily's own weaknesses; the visible manifestation of a heart broken too many times. "And how do you plan to get this power?" she queried, her voice still as coy as it was. Her eyes were piercing against Gabriel's own, it seemed as if the two had another world. Then again, the two who were talking were not of this world, but rather, the hidden hearts of two comrades.

The difference was, Kari never desired anything. Her sole existence was created by Emily's misery, and as soon as she becomes happy... she will disappear.

Happiness was obviously something that eluded Emily for as long as she could remember. Her heart was closed shut until "Unfettered" came along, and now that it was locked open, it was vulnerable to being shut down again.

Just like everyone else? Reven tensed up being labeled with the ultimatum of society, people. He was not them and he was going to make himself different from them far different. Stronger he would last forever even if it meant in a negative sense. Fire course through his skin electrifying his body as he tensed against hers.

"I will take it!" Reven spouted slowly enunciating between each word.

His left hand clasped gently around Kari's chin gripping it tighter and with a greater applied force. He wasn't afraid of abuse nor death. If all she desired was death Reven could give it to her, though the ecstasy of pain before hand would make her regret it.

"Will you give me what I want if I don the same for you?" He was willing to bleed her out or even to threaten the life of someone she loved it would kill her either way.

"I will take it!" Kari's expression became dark, and when Reven grabbed her by the chin she would kick him at the crotch. Men should know their place. Hurting women in any form was a disgrace.

Reven should be careful, as he was talking to a woman who murdered and ate men who almost abused Emily. This side of her was destructive, and the real her was nurturing.

"Will you give me what I want if I don the same for you?"

Emily's hand would spark fire, and Gabriel would find himself in a split second pinned neck first onto a wall. "I will have to decline. I am merely a pest in this body that will eventually wiether away, but you and your host, sir... are not deserving of Emily's trust. That's what I think."

She gripped onto his neck tightly against the wall, the lack of oxygen would be lulling him to sleep.

Reven was pinned viciously to the wall, the action had startled the drunken members of the club. Reven was enjoying this Gabriel however was not. YOu've gone too far Reven! the voice inside proceeded to attempt quelling the mad side of him. "I haven't gone far enough"

Reven's hand slinked down against the wall feeling the current pulsating from the wall. It was calling to him the power source. It willed him to become more powerful, stronger, a monster within a human's skin. The shock rendered up his body soon as he'd hit the outlet his body consumed with voltage from the force. A pair of hans clenched Kari's sending the voltage there as well.

"What if I could help you with that little problem? It seems your host doesn't appreciate you enough, doesn't give you enough room to breath." Reven slit on a ravenous smile.

Kari groaned in pain as the current flew through the rest of her body, and of course, he seemed to have become stronger. He was a lightning/electricity affiliate? Well, looks like he and Rem became one and the same.

"What if I could help you with that little problem? It seems your host doesn't appreciate you enough, doesn't give you enough room to breath."

"Like fuck I care." She said, her voice slightly shaken from the current of electricity on her body. This felt too much like the tortures within the correctional facility. "Kill her? Why don't you try... Gabriel?" she said, smirking. Her body temperature was spiking to inhuman temperatures, as her Qi flared for the first time outside of the school.

"My host is destroying me herself, and that's what we both want." Kari said, "Don't make me set you on fire..."

"It would probably be for the best, but I don't think you have it in you... deep down I think Emily is in there holding you back." Reven taunted daringly from behind a wall of hatred.

His hands moved their grip tighter around her hands slowly removing them from their place pressing Kari back, if of course she didn't resist if she did he'd merely try harder. Once at a strong enough distance Reven would clasp her hands together, the voltage still running at ample course.

"Don't you have any pride?" Reven's face tensed up bitterly, "Pathetic, go on and die like the mongrel you are." He let lose his grip fro her wrists and moved to her neck trying to pry her body from the ground. The closer the shocks the the brain the more potential damage he could cause.

"It would probably be for the best, but I don't think you have it in you... deep down I think Emily is in there holding you back."

Kari laughed, "... You seem to forget that she is much stronger than you ar- Ah... dammit." She winced, as she electricity was making her blood flow faster. Her heart was running faster than it should, and this wasn't a very healthy thing. Emily could die at this point. "At this point though, you're killing us both..."

Emily was now weakened, as her body was being electrocuted continuously. She couldn't even feel her legs now, but still held onto for dear life. This wasn't something Kari nor Emily would run away from -- but it was beginning to sound like a good idea. Survival was important.

"Don't you have any pride?" Reven's face tensed up bitterly, "Pathetic, go on and die like the mongrel you are."

"You're no different-- losing yourself to your ambitions." Kari choked, smiling still even as her body was starting to convulse. "Gabriel is a weakling, tell him that. Hurting a comrade who has done nothing but help him... heh..."

She gasped for breath, even as she laughed. "He'll have his day... He'll...--"

... Emily fell unconscious. If this continued, she was going to die. Death was something she wasn't afraid of, but she was not really looking forward to it either.

It was his fault, for giving her dreams...

Dude, you want to kill her? XD She's going to die at this rate. Your choice. I'm open to it.

"... You seem to forget that she is much stronger than you ar- Ah... dammit."

Reven flinched angrily, "Not at the rate my growth is, by the end I'll have surpassed her and destroyed every living residual piece of what was the woman."

Reven could feel her going limp, the muscles in her body contracting and growing weak, his powers were manifesting, they got stronger each and everyday he absorbed energy. Incredibly but this wouldn't be the end.

"You're no different-- losing yourself to your ambitions." Kari choked, smiling still even as her body was starting to convulse. "Gabriel is a weakling, tell him that. Hurting a comrade who has done nothing but help him... heh..."

Reven tensed with a disgusted look on his face, no doubt he agreed with the woman but something didn't sit well with him. He could feel the wimperings of Gabriel from within wailing, clawing at the walls of his own self made prison within. "I don't want you here any more!" Gabriel would cry relentlessly as Emily passed out, "Stop this now you bastard, this is my body and I will not have you hurt her!" His voice cracking and at the edge of tears.

"We each have to make little sacrifices don't we?" Reven taunted with a bitter voice.
His arm extended with Emily clutched at the throat dangled limply, the connection was broken and he tossed her across the room into the music box playing. With a smash and a spark of the power cutting out Reven stood in darkness evidence of his trespasses.

"GET OUT!!!" He wailed clawing at Gabriel's skull.

"This Is my body, You leave...NOW!" Gabriel commanded the last sentence came from his own lips and his eyes returned their natural shade, Reven was gone and Gabriel lie in a pool of his sweat and tears, weak exhausted and the darkness took him...
