Max was at walking around after school and was extremely bored too. He wanted something to do but no one seemed to be out and about. Well this sucked. Max put his hands in his pocket and noticed that their was a piece of paper in his pants. It was that girl demetras number. He started to wonder what she was doing at this point in time. What better way to find out then just calling and asking her. Max would take out his phone and call her. If she picked up this is how it would be.
*Ring*
*Ring*
Hi demetra. This is max
*Wait for her to respond*
So I was wondering if you wanted to hang out. I’m done in the parks field and was thinking about you. So what do you say.
*Wait for her to respond*
Great. I’ll see you then bye.
*Click*
This would be it if she didn’t pick up.

*Click*
He would then lay there in the field area shirtless. It was still hot outside and the breeze felt nice.

I'm somewhat accustomed to chaos. When you have seven people living under one roof, you get used to noise and business. This time, however, I was left in charge of baby Lindsay again, along with my roommate's two over-sugared prepubescent sons. The baby was crying constantly, and it didn't help that the guys were playing some sort of shooting video game, shouting each and every time they landed a hit (and occasionally when they didn't).
Luckily, the three mothers returned (one being my own) to save me from the stress that had been building up. "Oh thank God," I had mumbled, handing Lindsay to her mom and returning to my room.
My cell phone was beeping. A text? I flipped it open to check. Nope, a voicemail. I closed the door and put a finger in my opposite ear to listen. Oh, it was Max. Might as well get out of this crap hole and meet him up at the park.
I found him laying down without a shirt on in the field he was referring to. Haha. "Hey," I greeted him, leaning over to grin down at his face. "You take off your shirt because you want to impress the ladies with your abs, or are you actually hot?"

“Hey you. Glad you could make it. And to answer your question I prefer to lie here with no shirt. It’s and hot yes, I like to impress the babes. Is it working on you?”
He looked back up at her. He gave her a smile and was in a better mood. He liked seeing people that were good looking and liked to see him. She was better this time for she was not all sweaty from after running, which is an excellent thing in Max’s opinion. Hopefully she likes my little joke which is real too. They should make a word up for that if they haven’t already.

I shook my head and snickered. "Oh, so it serves two purposes, hm?" I plopped myself down next to him, stretching out my legs to get comfortable. "And you still got a lot to learn about me, hun. I guess that's part of what this gathering is for." Even though he somewhat instigated us meeting up by calling me and asking me over, I did initially become the forward one, since I had been the one to hand over my phone number. Hey, he seemed rather intelligent, so I thought perhaps he'd have some more smart stuff to say. However, it seemed he preferred to speak in person rather than over the phone, which I suppose is fine, since I don't need to burn energy or my bill by yakking away on the thing.
"So what have you been up to, Max dearie?"

Max started to think about the things he had been doing. This should be interesting.
“Well lets see. I read a couple good books, thinking about this girl, exercised, etc. I do a lot of stuff. How about you? Meet anyone interesting? And if you give me the chance I‘ll learn something about you everyday.”
Max sat up and positioned himself so he was supporting himself with one arm. He then looked at her and gave her a smile. He liked her to a certain extent. Nothing too serious yet but he enjoy her company. He was not going to blow this.

Ah, so he was keeping things very casual and laid back thus far. Smart move.
"Sure, I meet interesting people all the time," I replied honestly. "I'm teaching this one girl I met tai chi, and she's teaching me how to dance, since I've got two left feet, as the adage goes," I explained, "and I beat this other guy at a swimming race. He's fairly interesting, especially if he's managed not to get any STDs with the way he brags about himself." I was exaggerating for effect, of course, but hey, who was going to stop me. "And, uh... Oh! I'm in the works in getting a position for the Weekly Whammy, so I've talked to the media director a bit." I grinned widely. "Were you hoping that I'd mention you?"
My eyes averted back to the field. "Anyhow, what did you want to do today?"

“Just having you come makes it all right with me. I wasn’t quite sure exactly what I wanted to do today. I wasn’t even sure if you’d show so…
Max laid back down and looked at the sky. The clouds going by were nice. Just laying next to Demetra was nice. Max let her make the next move, to let him know what she wanted to do. He just got his credit card and was ready to roll. Hopefully he didn’t lose it today. He lied there with a smile on his face. Waiting to see what she does.

I furred my brows together. He certainly wasn't very decisive. That, or he expected me to make decisions for him. It was cute, the way he was trying to sweet talk everything, like me being there was all he needed, when I only met him once (I suppose this would be considered our second meeting). I thought about suggesting food, but to be honest, I wasn't very hungry. Deja vu? It seems that I happened to be not hungry last time I ran into this guy. Weird.
"Hmmm. Let's see..." I leaned back onto my palms, which I placed behind me, making my torso slant at an angle to the ground. "You have a ball? We can play soccer, or basketball, or uh... I don't know, depending on what kind of ball you have." I wasn't an expert at the aforementioned sports, but I'd give it a try if Max was willing.

Max had a basketball and that was it. The thing was she really going to play. He had noticed that she keeps in shape. That was good but how well was she at sports? He would start off easy if she decided to play, but if she didn’t he had nothing else.
“Well I have a basketball but that’s it. If that is good with you then please lead the way to the courts. If not then what else would you like to do?”
He didn’t have anything else so they either did that or she would have to come up with something. Hopefully she liked to play basketball.

I nodded. "Basketball sounds good," I replied, getting up onto my feet and dusting myself off. Like I said, I wasn't the best basketball player, as I hadn't played in awhile, but I knew how to run, obviously, and I was familiar with the basic rules of the game.
The courts weren't too far off. There were six hoops overall, making three courts parallel to one another. The paint on the asphalt was chipping a little, so the lines didn't run all the way through, but even while faded, one should be able to tell where they were. As I approached them, I waved my hand toward Max enthusiastically. I usually wasn't big on competition, yet I imagined this guy could handle it, and I knew it wouldn't be the end of my world if I lost.

Max lied there as she walked over to the courts. Nice a**, was going through his mind most of the time. When she got to the courts he watched as she waved him down. Wow she really wanted to play. Max quickly stood up and walked over to his car. Yes, his car that was not his but he stole k. He walked to the trunk and grabbed the ball. He shut the trunk and ran over to where Demetra was. This was going to be fun. He quickly handed her the ball.
“Ladies first. Unless you don’t want to start.”
Max was going to play easy on her. This was more of a chance to get to know her. See how she was psychologically. If that wasn’t enough he wanted to see how coordinated she was. This was going to be interesting.

I grinned widely. Max's 'chivalry' type behavior reminded me a little of Damien. Of course, not enough to really compare the to guys for more than a brief moment. I didn't particularly care for special treatment of 'the fairer sex.' Eck. "Oh, you're quite mistaken if you think I'm a lady," I told him, bouncing the ball slowly on the ground as a spoke. "I'm not nearly proper or wealthy enough to be a true lady. But hey, since you offered, I will in fact be happy to go first."
After a couple more dribbles, I pushed the ball toward him. "Check." When I received it back, I turned a corner around him. He was taller than me, which would make this difficult. I'd have to run to the side of him a lot.

“Fine. If you don’t want to be called a lady then I’ll call you Demetra or sweetie.
Max laughs at his little joke. Ok, now he was sort of trying to be funny. As he was laughing he heard her dribble the ball. Aw, she got a head start. Max turned and ran to get in front of her. He was in front of her and started to back peddle. He wasn’t going to let her get any ground. Ok, maybe he was. He was totally going to have a great time with this. Oh yeah. This was definitely going to be fun.

Was he going easy on me? I couldn't tell. It almost seemed as if he was letting me get around him. That, or he actually had slow reflexes, which I doubted a bit. Oh well. If he was going to let me win, he'd have to suffer the consequences. His own fault, right?
"You can call me a lady if ya like," I retorted, slipping around him with my back facing his side, ball outward in front of me. "I'm just letting you know for accuracy purposes, and for your own expectations." I dribbled the ball a couple times more, then threw the ball toward the hoop for a two-point shot. "You know, so you don't go thinking that I'll be ladylike." It swirled a bit around the rim (Ew! Bad wording! Bad images in my head!), then fell out. Damn! At least I was close.

Max watched Demetra shoot the basketball. It had looked like it was going to go in but it fell out. Max took the opportunity to grab it and go to the three point line, avoiding her if possible. She was fast but he had to out maneuver her. That was going to be what he had to do. When he got there he had expected her to be all over him, trying to get the ball from him. He would stand there and swerve back and forth, pivot on his right foot and shoot. It went in the air and hit the backboard, hit the front of the rim and fell…… out. Sheesh, he had missed the basket. It was going to take a while for him to get into the groove of things.
“Good luck… again.”
He would then either run for the ball or run at her. If he got to the ball before her he would pick it up and shoot again, this time it would go in.
If she got it first he would defend her. Get as close to her as possible while still making it comfortable and try to get the ball.
(OOC: You set how comfortable you want it if you get the ball.)
