Pine held a seat out for her and she shot him a grin. He was warming up a bit now that he realized she wasn't a threat. "Thanks." She says, taking a seat an nodding in agreement at his statement about the school population between sips of smoothie.
"Nope. I'm a junior - just one year left in this shit hole and then my parents let me move back home."
She says with a laugh and a glimmer in her big crocodile green eyes.

“Nah. I’m a sophomore unfortunately. I wish that I was just done with high school already. 10 Years of school is a long ass time.
Max noticed that Tash said she was a junior. Older girls were harder to get with but it would still be fun to try right. You can always try. Max leaned back in his chair. He was getting himself comfortable for it seemed as if they were going to be there for a while. Didn’t bother him though for he had no where else to go. No plans, no school, and no homework. He had all night.

That explained why Pine had never seen either of them around. Though they all might look the same age it turned out they were not. Tash was the oldest, a junior who seemed eager to get out. Seems her parents were not to keen about keeping her around while she was in school. Though she didn't seem violent, angry, or rebellious at all. In fact, Pine was not sure why he pegged her as a potential threat in the first place. It seemed the boy needed to work on his ability to read people. That or just be a little less paranoid around potential Moral students. Which would prove rather difficult since Pine's first impression of these students was so poor. Then again, you never knew what a person was capable or was trying to hide.
Max was the second oldest, a sophomore. Actually, that made him most likely the same age as Pine. Pine had missed a year of school due to the courts and spending all that time in a youth correction center. Yet he had to nod his agreement at Max's statement about 10 years of school being a long assed time. Even when Pine thought about it, it still seemed short. Short in comparison to spending a year in 10x12 cell surrounded by the bottom of the barrel.
"I guess that makes me the little kid here....Great..." Pine replied, making sure to draw out the word great for effect.
Taking another sip of his smoothy Pine realized it had gone quiet at the table again. That was not to say silence was a bad thing but it did get boring. So Pine went looking for something to focus a conversation on. As he looked out the window and saw some inspiration.
"So Tash...Did you fix that vintage muscle car up yourself? I'm also kinda curious as to what you have under the hood of that thing."

"Hey, class wise it's not so bad being the campus baby. Trust me." She says with a smile, swirling the smoothie around in its cup."Junior year means SATs, the ACT and a hell of a lot of homework. And it'll be over soon enough. Seriously, this year's going so fast. I bet senior year will be over before it really hits me that I'm even there."
Tash shakes her head. "Wow, now I'm sounding old and sentimental. Shit." She laughs, leaning back in her chair and casting a gaze out the window in the direction of her Bambino.
"Yup" She answers Pine, the pride showing openly on her face. The 67 Fastback is one of the few things that she'll brag about. "Well, I paid for it all. I didn't do all of the work myself obviously. I know more about cars than most girls, sure, but not enough to fix everything myself. How about you two? Got licenses yet? Cars?"

Tash told Pine it was okay to be the baby because there was so much that he was exempt from being forced to do. It sounded as if she missed being the little kid. He of course hated it but it was the dream of the young to be old and it was the dream of the old to be young. Sooner or later Pine knew he would wish to be young once again but that would not be this day or anytime soon.
"It isn't a bad thing to sound sentimental and old." Pine began and allowed a small grin to cross his face. "We all feel that way once in a while it's part of being human."
As soon as Pine mentioned her car Tash began to beam. It was as if Pine had asked about her baby or something. Not that Tash had a baby, or at least Pine thought she didn't have a baby. In this day and age you never knew who had what. Tash told the boys that she had not done all the work herself but had paid for it all. That was actually quite commendable. After asking if both of them had licenses and cars Pine began to laugh.
"Baby remember...I think I'm a year too young and I don't have the money for either. Besides I have this thing about getting stuck in traffic and sitting around doing nothing. I'd much rather walk, run, or bike to my destination. At least for now."
