Gabriel stood and gave her a clear observation of her totality. What was she? Did some one spill any evidence of his plots, though not all had been revealed yet merely a few brief details. He was suspicious now, before simply fun loving and enjoying the moment of peace. Though Aurora had to break it to him.
"You said prelude? what are you inclining, that you know what's going to happen?" Gabriel began circling the way a predator would his voice a little on edge. Not violent but still it was quite clear that her precognitive abilities had him shaken up.

"Yes, you could say that."
In reality, seeing the future was all about probability, and sadly for some people, a form of calculus actually applied to it...infinitesimally small portions of time made known to her, which extended to a certain amount of time...like a converging integral. Barring the math, this made predictions about the future very very accurate in the final outcome of an event, although things leading up to a particular event might not be so accurate.
However...because she constantly looked...oh never mind. She read the future. Let's leave it at that.
"I...have a good idea about what is going to happen. I'll keep it at that since I don't yet know how it will end."
And so were the imperfections in her power. Integrals took time to calculate, and each day she would be able to see more and more of the upcoming situation.

A good idea? No she had no idea of what Gabriel had planned for the future. At the moment there were still a few variables though in the end it came down to three options in his mind. Those being the most rational and in themselves leading to his superiority and later a victory. The first of which being the frontal assault of which Aurora spoke of, the War, in it he'd meet head to head against Matrim and all others opposed and due to his numbers Gabriel would in the end come out victorious. Though he'd lose some standing due to it if things hadn't changed.
The second of which was Masaru's tactics. Simple diversionary tactics that would serve a better purpose the numbers would still be in their favor but less would be sacrificed. And of course there was the third option. Gabriel smiled lightly not letting his mind hover over it all too long.
"So tell me, what's going to happen Aurora?" Gabriel asked with a modest inquisitive voice.

"Like you said, if I tell you...everything changes because you in your mind change, and then...everything changes again, and I see that. It's an endless cycle."
Aurora ran through the permutations in the outcome of the war, and how it might be conducted. The kicker was the fact that there was going to be some kind of variation in her prediction. She hated people when they asked for her predictions, because as soon as she mentioned the permutations, they changed. The end result didn't...but the way they would go about it would. In other words, no matter what she did to prove she could do what she did, it would never be enough. But for kicks....
"There WERE at least two permutations to waging said war...either direct assault versus the pillars and anyone fighting with them...or an invisible war...subjugation by stealth and deceit. There are actually seven more viable options, and 163 different variations of those. Take your pick."

Gabriel smiled, that indeed was enough to satisfy his lust. His war would take place, that meant there was no stop to it even fate couldn't bat an arm against it. Not unless of course something shifted the course, a decision was made to negatively effect the outcome. Gabriel needed to stand aside and let the pieces fall into play. Keep the course but in the same instant don't pressure it too far one direction. That was all what control truly was.
"So, what can be done?" Gabriel asked knowing clear well the girl did know what he intended to do, and yet she was still here unchanged in her suspicions and from what he could tell not hiding anything from him.

"As opposed to what? Stopping the war?"
She thought about it for a moment. The possibilities in STOPPING the war were slim, but it could still be done if someone to learn of the war. Obviously, she couldn't read minds, even through time unless the thoughts were spoken. Nobody yet knew about the war, because no one had taken action against it. Matrim had a slim idea, but that was about it. Thirteen wouldn't ever divulge anything that might compromise either group.
"However...that's only starting the war. How it ends, is still up for consideration. It could be bloody for both sides...you might even lose. I don't know yet, and I won't tell you that...moral obligations love."

Gabriel was confident he would end up winning, but at what cost? He had plans for after the war that needed to be worked through swiftly, he needed to keep face for a good month or so afterwards and if the war stretched out too long or too bloody it would swing out of favor. He could always find a scapegoat but that would inevitably lead to more troubles. It was perplexing, he needed to know the outcome. But then again would it change? Having asked of his victory or loss would inevitably cause a paradox. He wanted the fear of defeat stepping at his coat tails in fact he enjoyed it. Only made him fight harder, work beyond what those others had before, he'd beat them of his own morality and strength.
"Ma belle, I don't need your answers I need only the instruments to understand the future... But then again I doubt you even have those figure out yourself?"
Gabriel grinned, "Have you told anyone else about this?"

"I understand the future to some extent, if you know some basic calculus, then you can understand some of the principles. The rest is logic and analysis...the most is all made up theory."
The instruments she had to understand the future were made up of theorems from first hand experience. Nobody else could have those opinions...or facts based on interpretation, and besides, it wouldn't help them either way, since everyone relied on her to make predictions...the instruments for her...were different from him. In other words, she was creating another paradox...fun stuff eh?
"People know about my ability. That's all I'm going to say. We've created enough paradoxes already haven't we?"
Smile smile, and smile...Gabriel was fun.

Yes indeed they had but evidently enough not to cause any blips on the mark of the future. The future was always changing, that much he knew but fate decided those with the foresight often succeeded. He'd sought out this future, sought out such control for time. He'd have his war and revolution soon enough though it would be under his terms and his alone. Gabriel sneered feeling accomplished. Aurora seemed to be a link to the future and an essential cog to the clock work, he had only one more question to ask her.
"Aurora, I'm certain this won't shift the timeline too much but, Is there a man by the name Jonathan Winters coming here soon?"
(ooc: EPIC!!!!!)

This was one of the few questions that Aurora could answer without causing too much damage, at least, not in her eyes. The war was going to be bad, and making even a touch worse wouldn't cause much...not much at all. Her mind fast-forwarded, a week, maybe two weeks into the future, and in the admissions office, she peered around.
There was a man standing there signing his papers, and her ghost like body standing next to him...she peered at his papers.
Jonathan Winters.
Yes. He was coming...at least he should be considering the circumstances. If something changed, she'd know about it. Suddenly, she was back in the future, and once again, Gabriel was right next to her.
"I believe so as of now. About a week and a half from now...eight AM on Friday morning, I saw him signing his papers."

Gabriel flinched, his jaw nearly dropping to the floor though he recovered quickly to sum it up. A tenseness in his eyes gave off too much of what their relation was. This only heightened matters. Things had to be set in motion faster than had been planned out. "Unfettered" was coming and with that he would lose much support or at the very least have a different front to deal with one more intimidating than that of the pillars. Their battle would take place less on a physical battlefield but more so on a mental struggle.
"A week and a half?" Gabriel managed to say, "Then I would prepare for trouble this next week, he will be the precursor to the war you realize that?"

Oops.
She wasn't supposed to say that apparently.
And she must have really struck a nerve, not only was he barely talking, but she could feel him tense up a little bit. Was this Johnathan that important to his schemes? Or was he a major cog? Apparently, he was a wrench in the system, and Gabriel didn't want him in the way. Don't ever say students at a school didn't learn from each other.
"If you think that's bad, then I'll tell you right now that that prediction might not be perfect...since you know about it now, it could come earlier or later. The error is about 6 to 48 hours."

Gabriel chuckled lightly, "What possible effect could me knowing change his decision to arrive?"
He turned away pulling lose his jacket quickly to examine the time calender he'd set on his phone. Plans weren't ready to pull through with yet he needed at least another month before he could make his move. If Unfettered was to arrive within that period it wouldn't stop his plans merely throw them into a different spiral. He turned back to Aurora.
"It changes nothing..." He projected confidently, the fear leaving his voice.

"It changes everything."
Aurora knew this whole series of problems...and Gabriel was now going down a very bad path. He'd learn one way or another that fate wasn't to be trifled with.
"Have you ever heard of the butterfly effect? By you simply knowing and changing even the littlest thing, you've set yourself on a different strand of fate. Remember the theories I was telling you about? One of those is that fate is sort of an entity with its own sort of personalities. You came in here without much of a tangible reason...so the same could be said about Jonathan and I couldn't it?"
She paused to take a small rest. It was a lot to say after all.
"Ever heard of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle? It's the same thing...just by the mere fact you know changes something. And being a week away, even a tiny change builds up. Like going for exercise, you see no benefits today...but it helps in the long run."

Gabriel laughed now, the events of this one encounter wouldn't have any effect upon the man's arrival and if they did it still wouldn't halt Gabriel's assent in fact deep down he wanted Winters here. He wanted a rival a challenge. Much like how it was back at 259. He saw the way he'd gathered those to his side and he held their trust and loyalty to him alone. Quite impressive.
"We'll see, but then again it may act out in my favor." Gabriel laughed again.
He knew the consequences of his actions and he knew full well of what was to come. The thing that altered it all would be a game of who could actually beat him? If there was none he saw no reason to surrender his power. Though to the one with the mental capacity and willpower went all the chips.
