Lunch time, always a great time of the day. A chance for Steven to enjoy himself and relax. Normally sitting alone since he honestly didn't have a lot of friends. He wasn't new or anything like that, he was just a bit of an asshole. Still, it wasn't in the way that most people were, he was just very blunt, he said what he thought. The fact was most people couldn't handle that, they were to used to people sugar coating everything. He wasn't polite, and he had no qualms about telling someone what he thought.
He didn't care that much about his lack of popularity though, sure it would be nice to have a group of friends that he could joke around with, but this way he had more time for his studies. He studied a lot, as proof of this the young green haired boy, clad in his normal brown jacked and a comfortable pair of black slacks sat with a book and some papers out on the table he ate at outside. His lunch of pizza and carton of strawberry milk lay on the other side by his papers.
He currently had a perfect average and goals of graduating first in his class, an attainable one with how often people seemed to skip classes. Most people were idiots, waging war against a system they can't change. No many how many pillars fall or headmasters change, the system is always the same. It's one of the reasons Steven never bothered to try and fight it, he would rather survive it and go to college. He only had a few more years left anyways, then he would be off in the real world ready to make a name for himself.
Reaching over to grab the milk from his lunch, taking a sip of the strawberry goodness he was oblivious to the rest of the courtyard. What they were doing had nothing to do with him, at least not now. When he finished his work sheet for English he would likely go back to watching and observing them. He did that a lot too, he tried to know everything he could about everything, a natural curiosity coupled with a knowledge of how much power can be gained from knowing something. Still, school work was the top priority for now.

Sylar was in the middle of a fight. This stupid kid had said something that he didn’t like too much. Quickly Sylar stepped out of the kids punch and grabbed his arm. Quickly bringing it down he would break it. While the kid was in pain Sylar would pick him up. What Sylar wasn’t aware of was that the kid had a Qi, he quickly made a knife appear out cut Sylar’s wrist. Sylar would drop the kid from where he was holding him. The kid seemed to barely miss the veins. Crap, this was going to be much harder than he thought. Sylar quickly rushed the kid again. Throwing his shoulder into the kids gut Sylar would flip him over. When the kid landed it seemed he was knocked out. Not waiting around to find out Sylar would pick the kid up and throw him where the lunch line was. What Sylar didn’t see was he threw the kid right for another. Oh well, he didn’t care. He sat down on a nearby bench to see how it played out. Bleeding mind you.

There was always a ruckus going on, people fighting was not only a daily occurrence, it was almost a non stop one. Most people had to learn how to fight, even Steven could fight, even if it wasn't his preferred means of interaction, but to not know how was to condemn yourself to forever being a victim, something that Steven had no intention of doing.
He ignored the fight that was broken out among some of the students, instead he finished his worksheet seeing the sounds of combat as little more then background noise. However it seemed that his study time was going to be interrupted as someone sat down next to him, a rare occurrence and one that caused him to look over to the boy who was now sitting next to him.
He adjusted his glasses as his green eyes scanned the boy, taking careful note of the fact he was bleeding. A fact that caused him to frown as his eyes flickered to his papers which littered the table.
"Do you mind moving over, if you get blood on my papers we are going to have a serious problem here." He said, his tone was blunt and to the point. No hint of concern for the boy, only for his papers. It was obvious that the kid was alright anyways since he decided to calmly sit down and he certainly didn't seem worried about the bleeding. Thus Steven wasn't about to worry, instead he would wait for the kid to comply with his request, that or start something.

“Oh. My bad, are your papers more important than the guy bleeding. They always are to the nerds. Oh well, don’t worry about it. I’m not moving though.”
When Sylar said something he always meant it. No matter how rude it sounded he meant what he said and he said what he meant. That was one of those sayings that Sylar lived by. Quickly to not disturb the kid Sylar healed his wrist. Looking at it to make sure he wasn’t bleeding anymore he showed it to the complainer.
“Better for you?”

He was already growing annoyed of this child. It was all well and good that he could apparently regenerate his wound, another fact he made note of, but didn't make a big deal about. He had attended this school long enough to be aware of Qi, he was far from stupid. He was even working on developing his own, something to help him with his own plans and research. Still the kid obviously wanted attention since he felt the need to show Steven, it was the whiny attention seeking people like this one that caused so many problems. Always out to prove themselves, shouting their excellence until they were blue in the face, the blind and deaf masses paying them no heed while those of true excellence commanded respect silently.
"As I expected you are fine, so go be a baby elsewhere." He said rolling his eyes, obviously in response to the kid bitching about how Steven was more worried about his homework then him when he was bleeding. But his papers were more important, good grades would ensure that he got in to a good school, and leave hellholes like this behind. This child was proving to be worthless to him, about as useful as Naruto was in a stealth mission.
"Suit yourself, but if you fuck with my papers then my pencil is going inside you." He said without even looking at him this time, just working on his paper. Though he kept watch with his peripheral vision, as well as kept his ear open for any sound of sudden movement. Once again he wasn't an idiot, he knew how most people in this school behaved.

“You want to put that to the test?”
Sylar wasn’t really going to do anything. He was to tired form the other fight. He just liked toying with people. It was extremely fun.
I’m just kidding bud. Loosen up, have a good time. Your teenage years are the best ever. Live a little.”
The last bit Sylar was serious about. Look at him, he had everything he wanted right then. He was part of his own secret gang, he had a girlfriend, lots of money, and he had good health. His gradees didn’t matter to him to much. Even though his gf gave him so much crap about it that sometimes it got annoying, but he loved her so much. Sylar started to wonder why this guy didn’t have one. He should ask if the guy loosened up.
“Hey, you got a cig?”
