The Library was always such a wonderful place to be. After all, knowledge was power, and one could learn almost anything they needed to know about the world around them from the myriad books and archives pooled together in such places. Yes, knowledge was quite useful... if you knew yourself and knew what your enemies were capable of, then you could use such information to take control and draw out their weaknesses. And Ethan needed to know some things before he could act.
It was quite late at night, around 12:40 pm to be exact, and the School was closed of course. After scoping out the place while in hiding, Ethan had seen that there didn't appear to be any proctors out patrolling. It made sense that not a whole lot of money would be spent on security during after-hours. Good. That would make Ethan's task a lot easier.
Ethan had spent much of the week touring the school grounds in his spare time in order to learn where everything was, and he'd quickly made his way to the Library in less than a minute. Seeing that no one appeared to be around, Ethan closed in on the double-doors to the library and inserted a thin, metallic pick into one of the locks. After five seconds of tampering, Ethan eased his way quietly into the Library, closing the door behind him.
Ethan was garbed in a black leather jacket different from what he usually wore so he would blend in with the darkness. He wore a Baklava mask over his head so he wouldn’t be recognizable on the off-chance he’d even be spotted. Not that that was very likely. Ethan had plenty of experience getting into places he wasn’t supposed to be, and he’d planned this particular excursion out thoroughly enough. No one would know he was here. He’d briefly considered wearing a visor as well so his eyes wouldn’t be exposed, but it was too dark for that and he was being overcautious anyway.
Ethan moved his way past the rows of shut-down computers and broke a second lock, this one being the door to the Librarian’s small little office. It was so easy it was pathetic. How simple and soft these institutions were, to place such little emphasis on proper protection. Ethan had been to places in the world where to not keep vigilance over one’s property would mean one had no right to it to begin with. Before, he’d had to sneak his way into the private buildings of rich, powerful men who’d surrounded themselves with guards and electronic codes, thinking they were invincible. Ethan had proven them wrong. Fatally.
Ethan turned on the Librarian’s computer and pulled out a square device that had a screen like a calculator and was attached to some wires. As the machine hummed to life, Ethan quickly hooked up his hacking software and, inputting some codes, brought up the password to the computer and logged in. Ethan wasn’t a real hacker, but he knew more than enough about cryptology to find his way around the old crone’s files and access student information, his device bypassing the numerous feeble attempts of the system to hinder his progress.
Now he had what he wanted. Ethan began the process of downloading all of the student files onto his personal machine while studying them at the same time. Of course, there were a lot of names and faces. Most of them nobodies. In the end, they would all share the same fate as the rest: death. His master had willed it, and so it would be eventually. Ethan himself wasn’t strong enough to do it directly. Far from being the strongest of the school, he was a newcomer, a fish out of water. This was a far more different situation than dealing with those in the past who’d neither had the awareness or ability to protect themselves. Most here were far more powerful than he was, as much as he hated to acknowledge; so much of his work was to be done in secret, undiscovered. Theirs would be a slow destruction, one of their own doing perhaps. And it would be beautiful when his work was finished, and he’d served his Lord fully and faithfully.
He felt a certain buzzing in his pocket and pulled out his cell phone, neatly flicking it open to answer. “Yes?” he answered in a low, quiet voice.
“…Is your work finished?” Ethan knew the voice on the other line; even when not in person, Ethan could feel that voice resonating within him with each word, submitting Ethan under its control; it was Him.
“Lord, I will be done in another minute. I am transmitting the student files to you now.”
A faint pause. "Very good. You have served my purposes well this night, child. You had best make your leave now. There is no need for your presence to be revealed where it must not be shown."
"I understand. Farewell, Lord." Ethan hung up and pocketed the phone and began the preparations of gathering up his device to put away. He'd asked before why it was not yet possible to do something like rig explosives throughout the school and purge his Lord's enemies by such a fire; His only response had been that it was important not to act in haste, and that stealth and prudency would serve as greater weapons. The Lord had not elaborated further. Ethan did not know what exactly His plans were, but knew that they would be revealed in time should he yield success.
Ethan had only to be patient.

(ooc: largest F#%king sig ever!!!)
Gabriel had lounged around after school today, the week schedule wasn't actually too bad after getting used to it in fact he'd rather not minded the strict performance evaluations of the two certain teachers dictating control over the school. So long as they could be kept in check Gabriel would live with them, keep them around for as long as their purpose served endearing. His legs dangled over the edge of the library roof observant of the night's spectacles. Plans were in order, change would come not on swift wings but on the slow laborious beating of strategic subterfuge.
A dark shadow crossed his vision, as if on alert Gabriel stayed somber and quite waiting until the sentry disappeared within the library. Odd why would someone consort there? It was the predator's job to find out and destroy his prey. Stalking like a lion in the plains Gabriel followed at a short distance moving quietly, quickly dispersing fast movements to evade sight.
Master? Gabriel stared at the fellow from a dark crevice in the wall, had someone else been working towards the same goal, though more efficiently? If so he'd like to meet the man. A sinister grin enveloped his face as Gabriel emerged from the shadows.
"Well well, seems as though the good thief left the door unlocked.. thought you'd be a bit safer than that." Gabriel mocked in a dark tone.

((OOC: Yeah, I know. I spent tutorial today trying to re-size it, but nothing works )) Ethan had just finished putting away his device and getting ready to leave when he heard a cold voice address him in the doorway of the cramped office. "Well well, seems as though the good thief left the door unlocked.. thought you'd be a bit safer than that." Ethan whirled about sharply, falling into a fighting stance. It was dark, but his eyes had adjusted from being submerged in the surrounding blackness, so he could make out well enough who the newcomer was. It didn't appear to be someone of any staff-related authority but another student. Not long ago, Ethan had seen this one's face in the files as a marked "person of interest." Gabriel...Seran. Sharp green eyes, raven-black hair. Yes, that had been his name. Ethan was thankful for the mask he wore protecting all but his eyes, though he could feel his temper rising against himself. He'd been stupid enough not to take the precaution of locking the door behind him when he'd entered, believing that such a measure wouldn't be necessary and an inconvenience. Careless little mistakes like that could get you killed, you fool. Think. And he was also vexed at the idea that someone could even sneak up on Ethan. That shouldn't have even been possible. But he swiftly blocked off these thoughts and readied himself for conflict, not dropping his guard. "You're no teacher. You're trespassing here like me. Stand aside and we won't have any problems." Ethan had no intention of fighting, he had no idea what capabilities this man had at his disposal and he had no interest in finding out. Escape was on his mind, at least breaking out of the small office and into the larger library. Combat would be a last resort.

Gabriel raised a hand exerting his index finger in a taunting fashion moving it left to right. He wore an amused persona, a look of pleasure. Catching a thief in the act of stealing certain documents and information valuable to the school, certainly a fellow like this would be a key asset. Though there were much more things that stood on his mind what purpose was there in raiding a library one he'd been residing near the past few months?
"Tsk, Tsk" Gabriel mocked, "Thats not the way you talk to a superior..."
The evil grin returned as he blocked off the only exit, Gabriel didn't fight he destroyed and took what he wanted. And all he wanted right now was information, the kid could drop what he had and leave or he'd have to fight through Gabriel and get the information beaten out of him.

The man named Gabriel waved his finger at Ethan and only mocked him.
"Tsk, Tsk, that's not the way you talk to a superior.."
He moved himself into the doorway of the office and blocked Ethan's exit out. Bastard.
Ethan stood back up normally and appeared to relax, smiling under his Baklava mask. If this Gabriel was a superior fighter physically, then mentally he was acting overconfident. Ethan wasn't some child who would be slapped around. He could outthink him.
"A superior? In that case, I'm sorry." Ethan took two steps back next to the desk, speaking in an uncharacteristically light tone, hoping to unconciously lower the other intruder's guard. "I must not have realized who I was talking to. I'm new here."
Ethan suddenly whirled and hefted a kick at the computer monitor next to him, sending it flying at his opponent's face. Utilizing the distraction, Ethan would jump up against the wall and kick again at the other student's head. If he ducked, Ethan would land behind him and have an opening to sprint out back to the double-doors and lose his assailant.

Gabriel simply absolved the in the arrogance, perhaps he was a little full of himself but his capabilities had grown recently to their grandest potential he hadn't expected. he had every right to flex his hard earned muscle a bit here and there. Though he didn't figure the kid would fight he ended up making the first move throwing a computer in his direction. In retaliation Gabriel rose an arm to block it only to lose the kid.
*thwack*
Gabriel took a kick to the head unexpectedly, though with the force of motion the man rolled with the kick to grab the boy's ankle and tug him down forcefully.
"uh-un, Don't think you're leaving so soon did you?"

Ethan felt some satisfaction as his second kick contacted with the side of Gabriel's head. That was before Gabriel moved even faster and grabbed that same kick out of the air and pulled Ethan straight down to the ground on his back, bringing him crashing down hard to the floor. This man was much more agile than he was, possibly taking away the one advantage Ethan might have had. He needed to get out of here.
"uh-un, Don't think you're leaving so soon did you?"
Lying flat on his back on the floor, Ethan recovered and shot out his right leg to catch Gabriel in the stomach. If he hit, Ethan would bring his leg up, lifting the opponent off his feet and over Ethan to fly into a row of computers behind them. Ethan would then roll to his feet and run deeper into the library, finding a place to hide and ambush his assailant.

Gabriel caught the kick in his gut, though the kid wasn't very strong so Gabriel exhaled relieved. Grabbing on to the foot he pulled the guy in under his weight so that Gabriel's body bore down upon him. Now the tables were in his favor. Crouching to a knee Gabriel towered above him still pulling his arm back to swing. With a swift right jab to the face Gabriel would hopefully cause some serious damage. And with the metal appendage it could only hurt that much more.
Whether it hit or not was irrelevant because either way Gabriel would come to a stand and drag the boy away back towards where he was originally standing. From there he'd aim a weak thrust of his left foot into the boys lower rib cage entering the gut and pose somewhat of a "I claim this planet" sort of way.
"Now, you're going to tell me why you're here and what you're after..." Gabriel whispered slowly as he extracted the information, his fist flexed tempted to electrocute the smaller lad.

The counter didn't quite work as planned. The dark-haired attacker caught Ethan's kick and instead brought himself closer, kneeling down next to Ethan and striking him in the face. Apparently he had some sort of knuckle-duster or other appendage in his fist, because Ethan felt something metal smash into his cheek through his mask.
Ethan almost lost conciousness for a moment from the impact of the punch, but the taste of his own blood from being hit woke him up, and he felt himself being dragged like a hunk of meat across the floor back into the Librarian's office. Grasping wildly, he reached out and tried to wrap his arm on the side of the doorway, but then he felt Gabriel's foot stomp down hard on his chest. A torrent of pain exploded along Ethan's upper torso, and he lost his hold on the doorway.
He lay outstretched helplessly on the floor as his aggressor raised his fist to beat him down again. He involuntarily groaned from the pain, silently vowing that this boy would be the first to die when his Lord's plans were set into motion... if he indeed lived through this.
"Now, you're going to tell me why you're here and what you're after..."
He breathed heavily for a moment, than mentally prepared himself for more pain. Though he was helpless now, he'd undergone trials of physical agony and suffering to prove his worth to the Paladins and to his master before, in order to show that in the event of capture he wouldn't reveal anything. The key was to allow the pain to run its course through your body, then block it out and give the appearance of fortitude to your attackers. He just needed this guy to do something stupid that would give Ethan an opening, and then he would reverse their positions.
His dark, hazel eyes glowered back up at Gabriel, seemingly undeterred through his mask.
"You think you're strong..." he whispered. "But you're a weakling. I won't tell you anything. Try me."

Gabriel grinned smugly at his opposition, he liked a little fight in his prey. It made the hunt... more interesting. Starting with his hands and soon his entire body began humming with an electrical charge. The outlet was but a foot away and his powers were greatly increasing. Manifesting into a deadly weapon.
"Than we should try a bit of shock therapy to loosen your tongue." Gabriel said maliciously before punching two fists into the man's gut charged with electrical volts, he wanted to shout clear but resisted the sick humor of it.
(sorry for the shortness, hope you can work with it if not pm me I'll elongate it...)

Gabriel plunged his fists into Ethan's chest, giving him a large dosage of electricity. Ethan's eyes widened as the voltage of pain coursed through his body and made him writhe and jerk in pain on the floor. He felt like he was burning.
When it finally stopped, Ethan lay panting in agony. He didn't know if he could take another jolt like that without either breaking or blacking out. How he hated this bastard, this infidel. Someday, Ethan would find him when he was at his most vulnerable and catch him unawares. He would tear his heart out and bring it back to his master.
But he would show no weakness, not to him. Slowly, Ethan started laughing, a raspy, weak laugh that hurt his lungs. "You're pathetic...*cough*...was that all you had, or will you try again?" Ethan didn't know why he was egging Gabriel on to kill him, other than that he wanted to somehow make the other lose his composure in frustration.

Try again? Brain damage apparently, who in tehir right mind would suffer these effects for too very long.
"Your wish is my command." Gabriel darkly mocked his "master" thought process.
With the index finger Gabriel moved it to touch his head, the nearer to the brain in fact, the more psychological damage he could cause. With a little more pliable force Gabriel would break him, shatter his weak ended mind.
*buzz*
"Feeling any better?" Gabriel laughed lightly, "how about a name thats always a good start..."

Ethan felt the other boy reach down and pull off his mask and set an index finger on his forehead. Ethan gritted the teeth behind his blood-smeared lips and closed his eyes, knowing what was coming.
He heard the buzzing at first in his head, followed by a strange tingling sensation that grew into an itch. The itch rapidly rose and became raw, harsh pain of electricity frying his forehead, scalding him. This was even worse. Even though his eyes were closed, he was being blinded by a light brought on by the voltage coursing through him. He finally lost some control and cried out for one moment, the rest of his body in a seizure.
Ethan didn't realize that Gabriel stopped until he heard the buzzing turn into a loud ringing in his ears that slowly faded away. He still couldn't see, even he tried to open his eyes.
"Feeling any better?" Chuckling. "how about a name thats always a good start..."
Ethan waited, concentrating on feeling the pain and letting it run its course through his body and leave. He concentrated and flexed his fingers. He could move his arms at least, maybe.
It hurt to talk. "...My name...it's..." Ethan drew in a breath, then said, "Come a little closer and I'll tell you."
His vision slowly coming back, Ethan listened closely to whether he would come closer. He still had a fraction of fight left in him, and he prayed that this Gabriel would be dumb enough to lean forward. If he did, Ethan would summon what strength he had and throw up his arms to grab Gabriel's face. If he got it, he would try to gouge his eyes out with his thumbs.
He mainly hoped to throw his torturer off him and maybe try to stagger out of the office and hide somewhere in the Library, where he could try to ambush Gabriel and hopefully either kill him or knock him out so he could leave. With this amount of damage done to him, it would otherwise be impossible to outrun him.

Gabriel laughed again shortly, "Alright then,"
He wasn't stupid, rather he placated to the needs of the people and if he lowered his guard for a moment, or at least appear to do so, Gabriel could come out stronger having been prepared for it. Lowering a hand to the boy's chest though not quite touching it he lowered his ear to hear the tired words of a battered body.
*ZZZZAAAPP*
The palm would contact before any more motives were caused for Gabriel to do untold damage unto him. He would stop mere moments before the kid was to die or black out, he wouldn't want a dead body on his hands. Too much trouble to deal with. Though he'd exert true regal control of the situation.
"Don't patronize me... Give me your name and information..."

Gabriel laughed again shortly, "Alright then."
Ethan was alert. He could tell by the response and tone of voice that he'd seen through it, easily, and was going to do something else. He was no idiot.
He drew his breath in and prayed to his Lord for strength, and forgiveness for his weakness. He felt his captor's hand hover above his chest then release more energy.
Ethan didn't think this bout coould possibly be more painful than the last, but he was wrong. A wave of electricity engulfed his body, searing his ribs, his chest, his heart. It seemed to not end for an eternity, and as it went on, Ethan found that although the burning sensation wouldn't leave him no matter how hard he tried to expunge it, it felt like it was beginning to numb.
He felt his mind growing faint, weak. As things started to go black, Ethan relaxed. Ethan wasn't afraid of death, he'd kept his secrets from his enemy. And he'd hate to live with the shame of this moment and still live.
But then it suddenly stopped. Ethan could only breathe again, slowly and exhaustedly. He couldn't beat him. Not in a battle of attrition. He was too weak. But Ethan couldn't stomach the idea of rolling over and giving in...not completely, at least.
"Don't patronize me... Give me your name and information..."
He could at least part with his name. He'd likely learn that around the school, anyway.
"My name is...Ethan."
He held his silence on the other part of the demand, stalling so he could come up with a lie.
