[M.E.] Endless Story [Ryuu/Invite]

[Ryuu]

Ryuu just stared in disbelief as Emily fainted standing up after having stood there stiff as a board after the kiss had ended. ... I didn't think it was possible... The poor girl was out cold, and all Ryuu could do was just stand there, blushing furiously. Next thing he knew, he was suddenly grabbed by Taku and his friends, as Ryuu's mind finally snapped out of its stupor, as he began to put up a fight. "Hey! What the-- Let me go!" Ryuu exclaimed, as he tried to fight against his friends. "I'm serious guys, let me--" But before Ryuu could finish his sentence, a smack was delivered to the back of his head, knocking him out cold. "Damn you... Taku..." Ryuu muttered, before he blacked out and slumped in his friends arms. The minute Ryuu was out, his friends carried him out of the gym, the female students carrying Emily right behind them, as they headed to the limousine, courtesy of Ryuu once more.

After dropping the two of them off at the room they booked at the Golden Gate Hotel, they left the two of them alone. His body slowly stirring, Ryuu slowly opened his eyes, as he stared up at the white ceiling, before realizing that he was in a bed, and he wasn't alone, Emily was beside him, and her back was resting against his chest, and his hands were wrapped around her, cupping her-- Soft... Why is it so...Ryuu was still half-asleep, so he didn't realize he was cupping Emily's breasts, until... now. "!?" Ryuu fell off the bed in surprise, landing on the floor with a loud dull thump, as he then sat up on the floor, still in his suit as he rubbed his tailbone. Where the hell are we...? And where are my clothes!? Ryuu looked around, as the color slowly drained from his face. They were inside a hotel room, and not just any room, the honeymoon suite. You have got to be joking me...

Emily was, unfortunately for Ryuu, still asleep. It was one of the days when she was actually tired enough to warrant a good sleep after fainting. Well, it would be unfortunate, since Emily sometimes squirmed around when she was asleep.

Emily groaned a bit when Ryuu's hands moved by her chest. Well, she liked it - for one. At least her body did, she was an ordinary teenager with hormones after all. Ryuu then panicked and fell off the bed, allowing Emily the space to stir around.

The dress she was wearing had really soft material for the train, and Emily moved around enough so that her leg was sort of exposed until the upper thigh. Emily didn't know it, but she was probably giving Ryuu some major teasing doing that - and she looked so sultry with her hair now loosening from it's bun to something a little more messy.

Poor Ryuu, he must be getting all sorts of ideas.

A hand shot up in the air from out of nowhere before gripping the blanket of the bed, as Ryuu pulled himself up, clambering to his feet. As soon as he stood up, he stopped and stared immediately at Emily, who had moved around enough that her both of her legs were exposed until the upper thigh. His jaw was opened slightly as he gaped, Ryuu was an ordinary teenager with hormones after all, and not only that, he was a guy. Ryuu took a gulp of air, as a bead of sweat ran down his face, and it wasn't just because the dress shirt and jacket was making him hot. Emily really was giving Ryuu some major teasing, her hair loosening from the bun to something a bit more messy, making her look very sultry, so much so, Ryuu blushed furiously from the sight, before tearing his jacket off and tossing it over one of the chairs in the room, and made a beeline for the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind him.

Once inside, Ryuu began to run the water, filling up the sink, as he loosened his tie, letting it hang loosely around his neck as he unbuttoned his dress shirt, before cupping some water in his hands and splashed it onto his face, some of the water splashing onto his bare chest. He then turned the water off and drained the sink before he gripped the edges of the sink, letting the water run down his face and chest, before opening the door cautiously, and stepped back into the room, hopefully Emily was awake by now. Ryuu however, just as Emily had been teasing him before, was now unwittingly teasing Emily back, with his completely unbuttoned shirt, showing off his muscular chest and six-pack that had water which probably looked like sweat running down it. And because he had gotten some water on the shirt, not only was it white, it was also now slightly see through. Now it was poor Emily's turn to get all sorts of ideas.

Time to play around with teenagers, rite? Will do our very best to portray this scene without going past PG 13 >_>;;

Emily's eyes shot open once she had heard the door slam. Hoo boy, that was quite a nap. The bed was soft and the pillows were--

...

Wait, where the heck was she? She looked forward, seeing all sorts of pretty furniture. Was this somebody else's house? Surely not hers, she never had this much furniture. Definitely not Ryuu's either, since this room seemed twice (or in actuality, far more) than his kitchen. Groaning, Emily pulled herself up just as soon as Ryuu came out of the bathroom with his shirt slightly damp enough for some parts of the white cloth to cling to him - and if things couldn't get any worse: his shirt was open, revealing his muscular form.

Ryuu wasn't the one giving all the shots; Emily herself was posed as if she was some covergirl for some men's magazine. Nothing too sultry, but she (unfortunately) hadn't noticed how exposed her legs were. Her legs were curled up slightly, the rest of her form covered greatly by that white gown. Her now-wavy white hair framing her face rather well - she was, undoubtedly, the kind of girl you'd find on fashion magazines if she wasn't so short in the first place.

What else was happening?

Nothing really, besides the fact that Emily was now breathing rather heavily. Oh, dear hormones - why do you torture these two so?

Ryuu came out of the bathroom as the water ran down before dripping off his face, before stopping dead in his tracks as he gaped at Emily, who had sat up and had her legs curled up slightly, her legs still exposed, as her slightly wavy hair framed her face nicely, kind of like a fashion model. Ryuu's heart was beating rapidly, as he blushed furiously, looking away, though he couldn't help but continue to stare at Emily from the corner of his eye. He then sat down at the edge of the bed beside Emily, the blush still on his face. He then stared out the balcony window, which gave him a panoramic view of the city below, the lights of the city twinkling through the evening night. The way the two of them looked, they looked like fashion models, or in Ryuu's case, he looked like Yamapi an actor.

His heart still beating at a rapid pace, the blush had faded from Ryuu's face, as he took a gulp of air, trying to regulate his heart rate. Why did his heart feel like it was going to jump out of his chest? It seemed like it always happened whenever he was around Emily, and although he knew he loved Emily, he still didn't quite know how deep his love for her extended to. A bead of water ran down his chest, as his white dress shirt clung to his body and arms, showing off the outline of his muscular arms. Hormones. It was pretty obvious that something was going to happen between the two of them, and it would most likely be sooner than later.

Emily and Ryuu were staring at each other. There was no telling what would happen at this point. I mean, seriously - two teenagers who were obviously very attracted to each other, locked in a room (a hotel honeymoon suite, no less) and both looking rather tempting enough to finally throw the towel on their virginity?

Emily snapped out of her trance as soon as Ryuu looked away and decided to sit beside her. She blushed furiously, just remembering what she was doing - and got even redder when she realized how much leg she was showing up. No wonder Ryuu was staring!

"... I gotta get a hold of myself." She thought, pulling herself upright. "I'm... gonna go get a sho- aaah!" The first step out of the bed wasn't exactly pretty. If anything, Emily was never a fan of very long dresses and she just ungraciously tripped over her own dress. It wouldn't be easy to say that it was fortunate or unfortunate that she had quick reflexes - enough to grab a hold of Ryuu's tie, pulling him down with her.

They hit the ground, with Emily's back now against the floor, as usual, but yeah - she had pulled him into a kiss. Yes, again.

Though, it's Ryuu's call on where this would take this.

"!?" Was Ryuu's reaction as Emily grabbed onto his tie, yanking and pulling him down along with her after she had blushed furiously when he sat down next to her, she had gotten off the bed to go to the bathroom to take a shower, only to trip over her long dress. The two of them landed on the ground, Emily's back against the floor like before, except she ended up pulling him into a kiss. They were kissing... again. That makes it the fourth time this year? Ryuu's eyes flashed in surprise, as he felt his heart rate increase, and just like the second time they had kissed, his bare chest was touching Emily, both palms of his hands flat against the floor, above his head on either side of Emily's head. He slowly began to close his eyes, giving in to the kiss, but suddenly his eyes flew open, as he broke away from the kiss.

Using his arms to push himself up slightly, his face hovered above Emily's, his breathing slightly heavy, as his heart raced at a rapid pace. Slightly disoriented, half from the fall, half from the sudden kiss, Ryuu didn't know what to think right now. He was obviously very attracted to Emily, even David Blaze knew that Ryuu cared very much about her, but right now, he wasn't really sure what he should be doing. He couldn't help however, but stare into Emily's eyes, his gray eyes meeting with her green eyes. The feeling exchanged between the two of them, something was going to happen, but what it was, was hard to guess at this point. "Emily... I...." Ryuu tried to say, but couldn't really get the words out to describe how he felt towards her.

Emily didn't know why she was letting this happen.

She was, yet again, kissing Ryuu Hikari.

Why?

She didn't know exactly. She felt her eyes closing along with his, giving in - and it was at this point when she began to question herself. Why was she allowing this to happen? Why Ryuu, of all people?

... and what about "Unfettered"?

Her hands gripped tighter on his tie as her thoughts began to race. Maybe she did like him more than she allowed herself to think. Her heart was fluttering the same way it did for "Unfettered", or at least - how she remembered it to be, since it had been so long since they saw each other.

Could it be possible that Ryuu was taking Jon's place? It was possible - but kisses weren't enough to tell. But what concerned Emily more at this point was she felt like she didn't want the kiss to end. She wanted to feel Ryuu's lips on her own, almost addicted to it. In reality, Ryuu would be the first guy she would ever kiss back. She had kissed several guys previously, and a girl - if you counted that Joust-girl, but... this was certainly different.

Emily almost protested with a groan when Ryuu pulled away, though he wasn't able to get that far because she was still holding his tie.

And now, they were staring at each other - just what did she feel for this guy to make her feel like this? It wasn't easy to tell.

Was it possible to love more than one person? If not, then how do you define which one weighs the most?

Well, you can't tell if you never tried either - right?

Emily's eyes were almost yearning for something as she looked at Ryuu. No, it was nothing sensual or something of the sort, but Emily had never been loved before. Well, a romantic love - that is.

"Unfettered" had told her about how unsure he was in his letter, but -- just how unsure is "Unsure?" It's been a year. Not like she was giving up, but sometimes there were times when people have to learn to draw the line - just as what Emily was beginning to learn right now.

"Emily... I...."

Emily just smiled at him and placed a finger against his lips gently, shutting him up before pulling him closer with his tie again for another kiss.

Yes.

She wanted this.

Ryuu felt Emily's grip on his tie tighten as the kiss continued, as the two of them closed their eyes, giving in, but as soon as he realized this, his eyes flew open as he pulled away from the kiss, though he wasn't able to get very far, since Emily still maintained her grip on his tie, keeping his face close to hers. The two of them stared into each others eyes, as Ryuu saw a yearning for something in her eyes as she looked at him. It wasn't sensual or anything of the sort, that much anyone could see. He looked back at her with a tender but yearning look in his eyes, as he tried to put into words the feelings he felt for her. He saw her smile at him before gently placing a finger on his lips, effectively shutting him up before pulling him close to her once more with his tie, into another kiss. This time Ryuu did not pull away, once more he closed his eyes, finally giving in for real this time. Ryuu held both of his hands flat against the floor, above his head on either side of Emily's head, as he deepened the kiss.

Emily was the first girl he had ever kissed, even when he had been with Emi, which wasn't for very long considering everything that happened, the two of them had never kissed. You think they would've, considering they were boyfriend and girlfriend, but they never kissed each other. Although he cared for both Emi and Emily, he cared deeply for and loved Emily. He knew this now for sure, he knew how deep his love for her extended to. Slipping his right arm underneath Emily's back, he began to lift her up into a sitting position as he moved his body so that he was kneeling beside her, all the while, never breaking the kiss. He then slipped his left arm underneath her knees, as he stood up while carrying her bridal-style, before sitting back down on the bed, letting her sit on his lap and wrap her arms around his neck if she wished, as he moved his arms, letting his hands grip the edge of bed. He deepened the kiss once more, the only thing that concerned him right now was, he didn't want this kiss to end.

So this was what a real kiss was like?

Emily's face was flushing a deep red as the kiss once again began. This time, there were no questions, no resistance - it was if the two already understood, and yet, still so quite unsure. Emily groaned when she felt Ryuu's hand slip onto her back, beginning the process of getting her up. Emily slightly tensed when she felt her body leaving the floor - you'd think with her jumping abilities that she was cool with leaving the ground, when in fact she was slightly scared of it. Her arms just found their way around Ryuu's neck when he carried her and had her sit by his lap.

Emily's heart was going haywire; everything felt so natural, so real, and for some reason - slightly uncomfortable? Or at least because for one reason, she was new to this; second, she still had her hormones working madly right now.

At this point, anything could happen.

But she also had to breathe, so Emily let go of the kiss eventually. Her face was still quite near Ryuu's face, as she had leaned her forehead against his.

And she had one question for him:

"...Why?"

Ryuu blushed furiously as the two of them kissed once more, as his heart raced at such a rapid rate, Ryuu felt like he was going to have a heart attack. Although he heard Emily groan as he slipped his hand onto her back, lifting her up. He felt her tense up the minute he lifted her up, though he made sure his grip on her was secure, so that there was no chance of him dropping her. He felt her arms wrap around his neck as he sat down on the edge of the bed, letting her sit on his lap. He did however, have to breathe eventually, so the minute he felt Emily pull away from the kiss, he pulled away too, taking in breathes of fresh air, though her face was still very close to his, since she had leaned her forehead against his, as he stared into her eyes.

"I... I don't know, to be honest." He admitted, as he looked down briefly, the blush starting to fade from his face. He then looked back up at Emily, as he smiled slightly at her, his expression softening, as his eyes met with hers. Although his heart was beating at about a mile an hour from the close proximity he was in with Emily, he slowly lifted his left hand up and reached out, his right hand gripping the edge of the bed, and gently brushed away a few loose strands of her front hair away from her face, as he let his left hand drop back down and rest on the bed.

"I... I don't know, to be honest."

"... Yeah, I don't know either." She said, half-mumbling, her eyes closing gently as the two sat there. Emily was not sure of her own feelings, even if she was sure that something was there. Only time would be able to tell for sure.

"... but I want you to know, I think there's something there." She admitted, as she leaned forward and allowed her head to rest against his shoulder, slightly nuzzling against it. It kind of allowed Ryuu access to her neck, which their friends had sadly sprayed on some of the perfume Emily usually wore. It wasn't overbearing, or the kind that would make people sneeze. "I've... never been so comfortable with someone else like this before."

She was tired, but she was trying to fight that urge to sleep away. A large part of her wanted to stay right here and just hug Ryuu like this. The kiss was optional, though it wouldn't be telling the truth is she said she didn't want it to happen again.

They say in recent studies that the chemistry of kisses kind of show how compatible two people are biologically, maybe that was the case for Emily and Ryuu? Emily slightly hoped it was something more than a biological connection.

A girl can only hope that kisses like that meant something, at least.

She wouldn't know - she'd never been kissed like that before.

[Ryuu]

Ryuu wrapped his arms around Emily, pulling her closer to him as she leaned forward and rested her head against his shoulder, slightly nuzzling against it. He smiled slightly at her, before kissing her forehead and resting his chin slightly on top of her head. "... I think there is some kind of feeling between the two of us," He agreed, as the scent of the perfume that Emily was wearing mingled with the faint scent of the cologne Taku had sprayed on Ryuu, "Besides my sister, you're the only girl I feel comfortable to be around, like this." Although Ryuu was just as tired as Emily was, he was still good to stay up and awake, and truthfully, he just wanted to stay like this and hold Emily close to him for as long as possible.

Ryuu lifted his head up and leaned his head forward slightly as he locked gazes with Emily, smiling tenderly at her. "... Is it selfish of me that I want to have you all to myself? I don't want to lose you to another guy..." He asked quietly, as he stared straight into her eyes. The look in his eyes was gentle, yet they held some sort of tender yearning within. "I don't know what I'd do if I lost you..." He said quietly, his eyes calm but gentle. "I love you, and that's all I know..."

Emily smiled softly, her eyes still closed as she listened to Ryuu talk, mentally chuckling at how his voice sounded from having her ears so close to where his voicebox was. He smelled quite nice, and she took a good whiff of that intoxicating scent before he kissed her forehead.

He was just so warm - which was not surprising, since they were both pyro-type qi users.

Emily lifted her head up as soon as Ryuu lifted up his, there wasn't really that much to say now, was there?

"... Is it selfish of me that I want to have you all to myself? I don't want to lose you to another guy..."

Ouch, that struck a chord in Emily's heart right now. Because in truth, she felt like she's loving two guys.

She was still, in truth - in love with "Unfettered" Winters. Emily partially blamed it for the lack of closure, since he never really rejected her - just gave her hope or something of the like and that was that. It was kind of a love akin to a rose and it's thorns, it was a beautiful thing that she had yearned, and yet holding on to it hurt. Worse, there was a part of her still wanting to cling to it in spite of another wanting to let go and find some other.

She felt guilty as well, since she felt like two-timing him or something close to that. That was the last thing she wanted to do to Ryuu, since he was very important to her - maybe more than a friend.

He just looked and her and said, "I don't know what I'd do if I lost you... I love you, and that's all I know..."

Emily's heart skipped a beat.

...

No one had ever said those to her.

No one.

Not ever.

In fact, this girl was in denial.

Why her? She wasn't that pretty, if anything she was one of those girls that thought they were tough. Emily could say yes but...

but...

"Ryuu," She began, "I... I-I think I am on the way to love you. But..."

But...?

"I... I... there is a guy that I love... that I loved, but... he... he never really loved me back." Her voice sounded slightly afraid, but Emily figured she better tell him now than break his heart later. "I won't lie to you - I haven't moved on from him, and I don't want to make you feel like you're just second to him or anything."

She looked down a bit, her hands slightly trembling. Her fear of rejection was showing. It would be the first time in a very long while that she had to feel this sort of fear again. "But... if you let me, I... I want to love you back."

[Ryuu]

Ryuu, instead of getting upset like most would if they found out that the person they loved and had feelings for, loved someone else, and hadn't moved on yet, smiled kindly at Emily, as he released Emily, and gently took one of her trembling hands into his own. "It's alright," He said gently, as he continued to smile kindly at Emily, "I understand completely. Thank you for telling me Emily." Ryuu was not upset, nor would he reject her, as evident by the the gentle and soft expression in his eyes. "...This doesn't change my feelings for you. I will always love you, no matter what. You don't have to be afraid..." He said softly but reassuringly, as he wrapped his right arm around Emily, pulling her slightly closer to him.

Although he had been slightly surprised to learn this, as seen when his eyes had flashed briefly in surprise, he completely understood the dilemma Emily was in and faced, and did not mind this fact. He had heard the slight fear in her voice, but despite this, he still loved Emily, and he always would. He gently held Emily's left hand in his own left hand as he lightly stroked his thumb against her hand, his touch warm, his gesture reassuring that he did not mind that she still had feelings for someone else, even though she was on the way to loving him. "Of course. Whenever that time comes, I will always be here, waiting for you..." He replied, bowing his head slightly to her. "It's alright. Don't worry about it, I'm completely fine with and accepting of it." He said softly, hugging her gently with his right arm.

And that was the unshakable truth.
