The first day of class. Yet another school.
This should be interesting.
Jocelyn looked down at the slightly crumpled white paper in her hand that told her her information. It said she was to use locker number 589, followed by a combination, and then her classes were listed below. She walked down the cold, brown tiled, vinyl hallways looking down at the ground for toes, connected to people, to avoid. Her plain jean pants swayed around her ankles with every step. Her books leaned against her oversized faded maroon sweater that covered her blue Texas tourist shirt. She counted every step between the tiles and adjusted her step to three steps per four tiles.
The woman in the office told her that her locker was by the “B” building. She wasn't really sure where that was, and her map wasn't helping much. She picked her eyes off of the ground and looked around to see where she was. She stood in front of the botanical gardens, and wasn’t sure if she was quite on track. She looked around a bit confused and back at her map.
Great.
Lets see…gardens…gardens… Standing in one place looking at the paper with no hope, she really wanted someone to just lead her in the right direction. New schools were always difficult for her. It meant talking, trying to find friends, new banters, and more people lying to her.
Pushing her brown framed rectangle glasses up her nose and the frazzled hair around her face, she hugged her binders tighter and tucked the map into the front of her clear binder protector on her plain white binders. I guess it’s this way. She turned left and continued walking aimlessly.

Gabriel sat complacently at his desk staring at the empty board without much content. Aparently the teacher had a way of making an hour class drag on for about a four and a half hour period. Gabriel squinted violently in an attempt to stay awake emerald eyes gleamed angrily at the back of his head burning through the mess of hair the man had pulled back making his scalp glow from the luminous lights above.
If only I could get stuff done here... If only I could get into contact with the outside world...
Gabriel thought looking down as he reached for his phone.
"Mr. Seran, don't even try..." the teacher said without turning.
how did he do that?!!? Gabriel flinched sitting up without a word.
*RING*
The students shot up. They were free! Little did they know what freedom was...

[OoC: Way to be vague!]
Another ten minuets passed.
Another three buildings passed.
Didn't I just walk by that... Ugh...Yes[/i][/color]. Wandering aimlessly didn't really seem to get Jocelyn far. When turning the wrong way at the gardens she put herself even further from her destination. Passing by the gardens once again she found her locker sitting next to a classroom door with students flooding anxiously from the door. Shifting her binders and books around in her hand Jocelyn attempted to open the locker with one hand on the dial and the other holding her things and combination paper.
Fumbling with ever so much grace her belongings spilled across the ground as she put in the final number and pulled up the lever. Great. She looked around for a quick second hoping that no one was around to see her, but sure enough the halls and corridors were crowded with students. Some were talking, others noticed her with a snicker, others just as clumsy as her marched by, heads down, focused.
How long would it take to meet someone around here? No actually I don’t' think I want to run into any...Well yes I dooo...but...no I don...I don't even know anymore. She scooped up her books, shoved them in her locker, and looked around with a bit of hope in her eyes. Her hair in a messy bun, as always, floated gently around her face. She clutched her bag a little tighter, turned to her locker, and shoved her head into it with a heaving sigh.

Another few wasted hours, another class skipped, Break was getting awfully good at his bad habits. Out by the gardens, enjoying the scenery, trying to think of inspiration for a new song victor walked aimlessly, though his aimlessness was very on purpose. His hands where buried in the pockets of his pea coat, his dark blue eyes scanned the hundreds of flowers, orchids of purple and white, roses of all the rainbow, lillies, sunflowers, it was really all quite amazing. Even more amazing that he knew the names of all these... he surprised himself a little. Even more amazing that beautiful things even exist in this sort of world. When he was in a poetry writing mood he got all sorts of deep and dark in his mind.
He saw a girl walk by, but didn't really take notice, lots of girls walk by... its like a daily thing. He continued studying the orchids, the beginings of a song traced themselves in his mind. She walked by again... no worries, I'm sure she's not lost or anyth- oh wait... here she comes again.
He smiled, time to do his good turn of the day. He walked after her, but she alluded him, clearly not noticing that he was walking in her direction. Eventually she found her way to her locker, she fumbled with it, her things clattered to the ground just as she opened it and she stuck her head inside... she must be new, not unlike himself.
He walked over casually with a big friendly smile, ready to make her feel welcome. "you know... it'll be difficult to learn your way around the school if you keep your head in there all day" he said, begining to pick her things up off the floor for her. He held them out to her (just in case she decided to take her head out of her locker and look at him) "My name's Victor, if you need any help I'd be glad to oblige, I know I'm not going to any of MY classes today" he said with a little chuckle, and his signature friendly grin

Five minutes. Four. Three. Two. One. AaaaandthebellringsthankyousweetbabyJesus. Tash bounced out of her seat to the door, darting through the crowd with considerable agility. Her first plan had been to head straight home, finish her one page of pre-calculus homework and hit the sheets for an epic nap, but on her way to the parking lot she happened to spot Break...and an unfamiliar face. From the campus map she was holding to the lost look on her fact she was definitely new to campus. In fact, Tash remembered that same feeling. Moral Crest was a pretty busy place.
Well as enticing as that page of pre-calc homework was it would have to wait. Surreptitiously threading her way through the crowd she pulls up beside Break with a little impish smile on her face. She was wearing her standard low slung khaki cargos, worn black Chuck Taylors, and a thin white cotton wife beater that jumped belligerently to about a centimeter above her belly button and stubbornly refused, despite any amount or form of coaxing, to cover anymore of her toned and tan stomach. A leather headband pulled a wild mass of dreads away from her features, and a white gold ring danced at the end of a long chain that almost disappeared into her shirt.
"Break! What'd I tell you about scaring the ladies?!" She ribbed him playfully in a husky smoker's voice tinged with the very slightest hint of a lilting foreign accent. After lightly jostling Victor's arm she turns to the new girl, offering a smile and a shake from a strong slender hand with scarred knuckles. Along her upper right arm ran a white slash of a scar about four to five inches long. Her big jade green eyes sparkle soft and lazy, like they belong to a crocodile in the sun. But somehow, enigmatically, they manage not to look unfriendly.
"Hi, I'm Tash - short for Natasha. Now you're here I guess I'm not one of the new girls anymore."

The cool of her locker slowly moved into her cheeks as Jocelyn looked around the old, rusted, metal locker. She closed her eyes and sighed again when she heard the muffled voice of a male say "You know... it'll be difficult to learn your way around the school if you keep your head in there all day". Curious and shocked Jocelyn took her head out with such grace she banged the top of it on the lip of the locker. Rubbing her head she looked down to see the back of a blonde boy's head picking up her dropped things. She appreciated his valiance but felt embarrassed that he did, if fact, notice and was now handing her her belongings.
Blushing she accepted the books with a bit of a fumble, smiled and looked down shyly. "My name's Victor, if you need any help I'd be glad to oblige..."Jocelyn's smile widened and she looked back up at him curiously. The ring around the pupil of her eye began to deepen from the already deep blue to a hint of brown, then back to the blue and the color of her face began to return to normal. "...I know I'm not going to any of MY classes today". Jocelyn began to giggle as she looked down a little, then back up brushing the hair out of her face again.
After a short, almost awkward pause she remembered that she should introduce herself. Blushing a little more she quickly said, "OH! haha. I'm Jocelyn. Don't worry about it, I'm new and just... trying to find my way around." Of course she didn't mean it. She wanted him walk beside her as she wandered through the school. She wanted him to make her laugh through the confusing and embarrassing moments. But she couldn't start that again. Something in the back of her mind wanted to say, "Would you please? I would really appreciate it!".
Just as she realized she was smiling a little too much at him a girl in khaki pants, an undershirt, and converse ran up to Victor and shoved him in the side. ""Break! What'd I tell you about scaring the ladies?!" Her spunk immediately broke through. Her energy flowed from her and her smile reflected it. Again with a hint of an accent she jolted out her hand and said, ""Hi, I'm Tash - short for Natasha. Now you're here I guess I'm not one of the new girls anymore." Jocelyn smiled at her and reached for her hand around her books and repeated her introduction,"Hi, I'm Jocelyn."Looks like I'm not so lost after all.
Jocelyn turned around, remembering her books were in her hand and shoved them in her locker. Pulling out the binder she put her schedule in she looked down at the white cover and said, letting her smile fall a little, "Well, looks like I have AP Bio first." She looked up at them skeptically and sighed, "Well looks like our first mission is to find that, No?"

Break's grin widened as tash came up, her energy and crazyness always managed to make his good mood even better. he chuckled at her warnings about scaring the ladies. "if the lady is scared she is more than welcome to run away" he joked with a little laugh, winking at jocelyn. after all the introductions where done there where three people, probably to be good friends at some point just chilling in a hallway. Jocelyn (nice name) mentioned that she had AP bio next.
Break mocked an earpiece in his ear, pretending he was a secret agent, he held his finger up to his lip in a 'sh' sign, then listened to his fake earpiece. "got it, coordinates set, Mission commence" he said, holding his fingers up like a gun. he was so into it, and he had a lot of comic delivery. he smiled and pulled himself to his original standing position. "come on agent tash" he said with a chuckle, waving them both to come with him.
"so, where did you come from?" Break asked, trying to start conversation.

Exiting his class Gabriel found the flittering excitement of a hallway party. Though the members of which he seemed to notice fairly well. Though for now he'd let them have their moment. The one he didn't know. Jocelyn was her name. As for the others, Break and Tash. Each Gabriel knew to an extent and he knew how to play each. He knew their game. But certainly a new one couldn't hurt.
A long graceful stride across the hall he came upon the small group standing just above Break to his back never giving away his position he mused silently till he'd catch Tash's attention.
"Good morning Natasha...Break." He'd say in an all too calm voice sizing each of them up, how they'd react.

"Ooh, Bio. Tons of fun." She says sardonically, reaching her hand out in a request to see the whole schedule. Break's comment brought her gaze to him and she laughed. Boys will be boys.
"Special Agent Break does sound pretty bad ass, I'll give you that." Tash chuckles, looking about thoughtfully. "Well, I'm not taking AP Bio but I know it's in the same building as the rest of the math and science classes. Break, any idea what floor it's on?"
It was at that moment that another familiar face approached. The use of her full name earned the guy a raised eyebrow. "Hey Gabriel, what's up?" she greeted the guy who had helped her out with her car. Lately she'd heard some things about him floating around school - things that didn't seem like her cup of tea. But Gabriel hadn't done or said anything to her so far so she wasn't about to brush him off. She'd just be sure to pay attention. He was a guy to keep an eye on, that was for sure.

"Ooh, Bio. Tons of fun." Tash said with a sacrstic pitty in her voice. Tash motioned to see the rest of her scehduale and she handed it over reluctantly.
Not really looking forward to going to the first of her 4 AP classes Victor's enthusiasm really lifted Jocelyn's spirit. "Got it, coordinates set. Mission commence.", he replied to her comment with his fingers laced and pointers extended. "Special Agent Break does sound pretty bad ass, I'll give you that. Well, I'm not taking AP Bio but I know it's in the same building as the rest of the math and science classes. Break, any idea what floor it's on?"
Jocelyn quickly turned around grabbed her hunking ten pound Biology book and closed her locker. She didn't expect the weight of the book to be as much as it was. As it slid off the edge of the locker her arms impacted the weight and she slumped over a little. "Woah" she exclaimed with a bit of a huff. Looking back up at Victor then over to Tash she said in a lower joking tone,"Our mission is to find the AP Biology room in T minus 6 minuets and counting. If you do so choose to accept this mission, and complete it succesfully, your reward may include cookies in your near future." She finished with a little giggle.
"Come on agent Tash", Victor continued in the same seriously joking tone. Jocelyn looked around for a second to remember where her locker was and bookmarked the landmards in her mind. "So, where did you come from?" Victor piped to begin a new conversation. Just as Jocelyn was about to open her mouth another person strolled up. He looked a bit skectchy but his calm and cool voice slid out, "Good morning Natasha...Break."
Jocelyn wasn't sure if he was a friend or enemy of her new found...well...friends, and wasn't sure if she should introduce herself. "Hey Gabriel, what's up?"Jocelyn didn't sense any bitterness in her voice so she assumed it was safe. Book in hand she looked up at Gabriel with a smile and peeped, "Uhm, Hi, I'm Jocelyn".
The weight in her hand reminded her of their mission. "We were just on our way to find the AP Bio room. You wouldn't happen to know where it is?Jocelyn wasn't exactly sure if the other two wanted him to tag along, if he did decide to follow them, but it was somewhat too late now.

"T minus 6 minutes... jesus we better get moving" Break joked, before seeing gabriel walk up. Ah, this would be interesting, Break had yet to see gabriel in any social matter that didn't involve scheming or plotting, it excited break for a moment to think of what may happen. "goodmorning Natasha...Break" He nodded to each. 'so he's calling me break again huh? guess he forgot our little deal, oh well' break thought to himself with a smile. "hey bro, goodmorning" break said holding his hand out for a shake. "I think its on the second floor, I remember someone saying the AP classes where up there" Break continued, answering tash's question. "correct me if I'm wrong though, I'd hate to be the reason for mission failure" he chuckled

Gabriel's eyes relaxed a bit letting down his suspicions of either of his compatriots he'd met. A small sigh and slink of his shoulders back revealing his stance a bit. His figure still remained towering over the group. it imposed a certain air of superiority at least within his own thought. Though he desired nothing more than to be deemed an equal perhaps that's why he desired so much for this change of the hierarchy.
"Same ol' same old Natasha," He said with a faint smile and a court bow.
eyes turned upon the new girl he'd yet to have had the opportunity to meet quite yet. "Uhm, Hi, I'm Jocelyn".
"Well hello Jocelyn, a pleasure." He said with a friendly gesture and a generous smile. "hey bro, goodmorning"
His head turned towards Victor once more. A brow cocked up curiously. "Did I stumble upon something..." He chuckled lightly at their little scramble, noticing their strange positions looking much like children. He'd missed that carefree nature he once held.

"Nothing important" Victor said with a little wink, his hand going up to fix his hair, almost boredly. "just showing our new friend to her next class" he said with a little glint in his eye he looked toward jocelyn, hoping she'd take the friend comment well, he knew that all he ever wanted was friends, it was always nice to let someone know they where your friend.

Greetings finished exchanging and Gabriel began questioning their peculiar actions,"Did I stumble upon something?" Jocelyn quickly looked around wondering what he was talking about and noticed they were still in their "mission mode". She stood up straighter with her cheeks flushing a bit rosy and gave a little embarrassed chuckle. "Nothing important" Victor said with a little wink as he rustled through his hair in a nonchalant manner. "…Just showing our new friend to her next class". He looked over at Jocelyn with his twinkling eyes. Her smile grew, her cheeks became rouge, and her eyes deepened to a darker blue with brown flecks speckling the iris.
Aware of her obvious embarrassment she looked away at the ground than to her watch. “OH! We better get going.” Only a minuet had passed but it seemed that Gabriel wasn’t really welcomed. Not moving she stood awkwardly waiting for someone to say something or make a move. Looking back up at Gabriel she changed her mind and asked, “What’s your first class” rather awkwardly.

It sounded as if he'd intruded upon something here. Either by the way that Victor had tried to pass everything off as an evasive motive meant he had something on his mind or exactly the converse to that he could have just been the playful mess he'd always tried to be. Emerald eyes peered in a neutral gaze. They caught Jocelyn's moment of embarrassment. She had apparently never been anyones friend otherwise that statement would've gone unchecked. Odd enough for someone who appeared the way she did inherently drawing the attention of those already around her.
“What’s your first class” The small voice stated breaking him from his framework.
Gabriel returned a small charming grin with ease, "I have Psychology but I don't think he'll miss me too much if I'm a few minutes late. Care if I walk you to yours?"
(ooc: sorry for the delay)
