Well, she figured she should have expected that. She was no where near as strong as him so going for any kind of hold probably wasn't going to work, she thought as he tossed her off him. Tash managed to land in a crouch that didn't do any damage to her knees and mentally breathed a sigh of relief as she rose to the balls of her feet again in her effective and customary at ready stance.
From where she stood she bobbed a little, her hands more or less en garde, a ready little smile on her face. She hadn't had a fight for kicks and giggles in a while, not since the last time she'd been to Italy. Dom had beat her that last time, but barely. She bet she could hold her own now, no problem. She'd learned a few things since they'd last seen each other, she was better at predicting attacks than before and could take more of a hit. This was just plain fun, and it was putting her in a much better mood than she'd been in all that day.
"C'mon, Victor!" she laughed. "What do we got here? Show me what we've got!"

Victor rolled his eyes, sticking his toungue out comically at the challenge. He watched her bob a little, his smirk growing a little wider. he raised his fists back up into his boxing position. "you asked for it" he said, his smirk breaking out into his full blown smile as he ran forward. he aimed low, hooking his right fist from above and down so it would hit her just above the hip. if the punch landed he would grab her arm as she recoiled from it and use his momentum and hers to spin her around once and lob her into the air. depending on her grace she could probably land on her feet from that, this really was just for fun.

Tash was no boxer: she kept baiting him to throw punches she could calculate and was usually quick enough to dodge, then counter with something else. This time, he'd thrown a good one: a solid right cross. She couldn't duck it without having to worry about being kicked and she wasn't strong enough to attempt a direct block. No, she'd have to try something that was a little less by the book if she was going to get out of this one.
She let the fist come at her, waiting till he was almost mid-swing to take action. Springing to sudden motion, she dipped her right arm beneath his own moving limb and swung her arm up and over, hoping to take his arm with hers, which would raise it fully extended up over his own head. For all intents and purposes it was much like an exaggerated binding move one might use in a fencing match. There was a good chance this would work because it relied on catching his arm at the right point and diverting momentum. Strength wasn't necessarily the issue. If she got his arm up, she could duck down along his right side and aim a sucker punch at his arm pit. A stronger opponent could dislocate an arm that way but Break could take a better hit than she could deal out, so she wasn't worried. The most she'd do was give him a temporary dead arm. By that point she'd be behind him and in the perfect position to wrap an arm around his throat. If it were a real fight she'd go for a short, sharp blow to the back of the head and neck or she'd go for a stranglehold and a temple blow. But this was Victor...she wasn't about to pull any of that on him. He wasn't seriously trying to hurt her.
ooc: since they're not actually going for any end game moves, seeing as this is 'friendly fire' it could kinda keep going on forever....and ever.....whatcha wanna do about that? lol

(OOC: thats a good point. wanna just call it a tie then?)
Break was surprised and please to watch tash use her ingenuity. She was quite the smart girl, his fist sailed over her as she lifted it up, and gracefully moved around him, she was in a good position, but wasn't making any moves.
"Getting tired?" he asked, admittedly his breath was growing a little shallow as well, he smiled his big warm grin. "cause we could finish this another day, I know my moods been pretty lifted" he said, hoping she'd just take that as good enough and call it a tie for now.

She stepped away, rolling her shoulders to loosen them up and smiled at him, her little pointed canines showing.
"Good call, good game." She said, offering him a high five and a pound. This little sparring match had done wonders for her mood. "Calling it even then? I haven't had a good friendly fire sesh in forever. Last one was with my...my friend Dominic last summer in Italy." She says, fingering the ring and looking around for a place to sit. Ignoring the bench a few feet away, Tash sits down on the cool concrete and catches her breath. It had been a while since she'd done a simple good natured match with someone else. It was a pretty good way to start off at a new school. After a minute she stands and stretches a little and look over at Victor.
"So you got any plans after this?"

Victor high fived and pounded casually, watching her wander and sit, as she played with the ring on her finger. Dominic was an unfamiliar name and Victor left it at that, though for a moment it brought him back to when he and she where on the bench... he then caught the italy bit. that interested him. "Italy... I always wanted to visit there" he said with a little smile, he'd always wanted to visit many parts of europe to be completely fair.
Victor contemplated her question for a moment, checking his mental calendar, his hand came to his chin and scratched it once thoughtfully, then he looked at his watch. "I'm not doing anything today if you wanna go hang out somewhere, I'd be totally up for it, I don't have a curfew or anything" he said, his fast SoCal speech patterns making a few of the words a tad slurred, or maybe that was just being out of breath. "But I don't have a car, so if we're going anywhere, you're driving" he said with a little laugh.

"Italy's beautiful. I'm going to move there. Maybe after high school. Maybe after college. I haven't decided yet. I think you'd like it there, the weather's like SoCal. It's laidback too. That's one of the reasons why I love it there. I actually think you'd like Dominic if you met him. He's a lot quieter than you, but in some ways you remind me of him."
For a minute she kept on with her reminiscing, then sat up and pulled herself back to the real world of asphalt and flourescents. She flashed Victor a grin and hopped to her feet.
"Alright, driving with Tash. Time to really test your courage." She said with a laugh. Her driving habits didn't exactly mesh with the rest of her personality. She wasn't reckless or really a scary driver so much as she was just plain aggressive. Her car had muscle and she wasn't afraid to use it. "You know cars at all?"

"Sounds like a nice guy, I'd like to meet him" Victor mentioned after she talked about dominic, could be another friend... if he wasn't in, you know, italy... "maybe you'll have to take me to italy with you so I can" he said jokingly with a little gleam in his deep blue eye.
Victor smiled at the thought of 'testing his courage' his left eyebrow raised to the challenge. "I know makes, models, and years, just don't throw too much engine talk at me and I'll be fine" he said with a wink. he had taken auto at his private school and had learned a little about engines, but he was certainly no mechanic, though he definately wanted to learn. maybe tash could teach him. "I've always wanted to learn more about engines though, so if you ever got time you should give me a lesson or two" he said. "so whaddya drive?" he asked, his big smile coming easier as his breathing returned to normal and his adrenaline began to ebb away.

"I actually heard from him recently. He's coming out to visit. Maybe you'll get to meet him. He's my oldest friend. We're like this - " She says with a little smile, crossing two fingers.
"so whaddya drive?"
Tash smiled. Her car was her baby: she'd found it for sale on the street, a real junker, and bought it for cheap off a guy who hadn't known what a gem he had. She'd really won the luck lotto that day, otherwise she'd never have been able to afford the kind of classic she owned. "Oh, nothing special,"She says with a mischievous little smile and a shrug while fishing her keys out of her big messenger bag. They were almost to the parking lot. She makes her way towards a black behemoth of a car, all bold lines and classic American muscle. "Just a '67 Mustang Fastback." They stop by the gleaming vehicle and she gives it a proprietary pat on the hood. "Bambino, meet Victor. Victor, meet Bambino."

MAGNIFICENT! HOLY MAGNIFICENT JESUS OF MAGNIFICENCE! Victor's jaw went slack for only a brief moment, his eyes widening with admiration for what (she had no idea) was his favorite classic car ever. "beautiful..." he said, walking up to it, he lifted a hand, but he was hesitant to touch it, then decided better and put his hand down. "I've been told its hard to catch my eye..." victor said jokingly "but this is so chill, I love the classics, mustang is one of my favorites... I had a bro back home who drove one of the new 08's but nothing beats the original" Break said admiringly. he looked his reflection in the shiny paint, she even liked the same color as him, if only it had his two yellow racing stripes like it did in his mind it would be perfect. "nice to meet you bambino" he said with a little chuckle. he walked across to the passenger side. "so you got a place in mind? I'm still pretty new here, I have no idea where we could hang..." he said, making a mental note to learn of more cool places in the area.

She caught the brief bug eyed look he gave the car and grinned. Pretty much anyone who knew about cars liked Bambino. "So you like him?" She asked jokingly as she unlocked the doors and opened her own. "So you wanted to learn more about engines. I'll give you the basics of what Bambino's got under his darling hood. I don't even want to remember what he had when I bought him, but his engine was the first thing I replaced. Cost......never mind what it cost. But I fixed him up with a V8 engine and quad turbo. Just to give you an idea, V4 and V6 are standard, which I'm sure you pretty much know. Most cars with turbo only come with twin turbo." She puts the key in the ignition and the engine roars like a bloodthirsty dragon. "I was thinking smoothies. I'm freakin' thirsty."

Victor nodded his head, getting into the car and sinking with a delightful giddyness into the leather. he would chew off his right arm for a car like this. "I know all about V's" he said with a little smirk, his eyes gleaming "V6 and V8 anyway, I didn't know there was such thing as a V4" he quickly corrected himself. "and you must be a mindreader, smoothies sound delicious" he said smoothly. "please, continue" he offered with a small gesture of his hand, wanting to hear more about engines

"Well there's just your standard four cylinder engine. Bambino is classic American muscle. One of the subtle little differences you get get with an American engine versus, say, what you might find under the hood of Benz would be battery placement." She explains as they head out of the parking lot.
"American batteries tend to be exposed. There are two contact points on the battery where you jump start it if you have to. On many European engines, or engines that have been modified, the battery often isn't visible. You have marked contact points in two places somewhere under the hood to tell you where the positive and negatives are."
She plugs her iPod into the adapted sound system and starts blasting Limelight, by Rush. It was an old band, a rock classic that not a lot of teenagers were familiar with. They were kind of funky but in a really fun way and she was in the mood for it.
"Turbochargers essentially boost horsepower without adding a shit ton of weight. They use the exhaust flow from an engine to spin the turbines inside the charger at higher speeds than an engine can match. It's basically a simpler and more compact way to add some kick to your engine without making the cylinders bigger or adding more cylinders altogether." She thinks about it for a second. "Comes in handy when you don't have space under the hood or the money to buy a bigger engine and you don't want to get into rear mounting shit."
ooc: since this thread has moved off campus do u just want to close it? i feel like it's at a good place. lol.
