Nick was aching all over and he was carrying an unconscious boy on his back. Today wasn't the greatest day. He could hear all the commotion going on behind him, but he was preoccupied with getting out of the building like Tash said he should. The problem was with him being this badly sore and having all this weight on his back, he wasn't making good time to the exit. But that changed when he looked over to see Sara.
The look in her eyes when she looked at him and smiled was the look that had he had seen there when they had first met and had their date. Something about her had changed back to how she was before. He decided he would talk to her about it later, but for now she seemed as if she wanted to help him carry his load out of harm's way. So he shifted the body on his back so that she could take some of the weight and it would be easier to move more quickly out of the building. He knew Sara could handle it; she was a tough cookie.
Right as they exited the doors of the building, there was a loud explosion that rocked the foundation. Nick decided it would be best to quicken the pace and get as far away from the site as possible.
And it was a good choice as while he was getting father away, he felt the third shockwave under his feet; the ground vibrating underneath his feet like a weak earthquake. He wondered how strong that one must have been.
Once far enough away, he would set down the boy who he and Sara were carrying and sit down himself to catch his breath, glad for this to finally be over.

Sara, Nick, and Travis made it to the door just as something exploded behind them. She stumbled slightly, but managed to keep her feet. She wasn't to bad for ware, considering how badly off some of the others seemed. Like Travis for instance. She supported his weight with Nick as another shockwave hit. It sounded loud and bad. There was the sound of more crashing like something else had collapsed. She refused to look back though until they were far enough away. She had a lot of thinking to do. A lot.
Further away though, away from the trouble inside the school, they set Travis down on the ground. She leaned down next to him to check him out. She whispered to him, trying to get him to wake up. "Travis... Travis wake up. Common hun, wake up." 'Hun' might not be the most appropriate term for him, but in the current situation, she was sure he wouldn't mind. Nick on the other hand... She sighed, continuing to try to rouse him.
She had a lot of thinking to do. Something about today had shaken her more then she wanted it to. Feelings that she hadn't felt in a long time were back. It wasn't good. She needed to get away for a few days after this, sort out her thoughts. She had no clue what she was going to do... "Common Travis, wake up..."

Travis... Travis wake up. Common hun, wake up.
The words were barely audible as Travis came around, almost as if he was dreaming. It was then he felt it, agonizing pain ripped throughout his whole body. His couldn't help but close his eyes and groan. His arms struggle to cradle his torso. He couldn't even remember what happened. But the voice that had called to him was Sara. He almost felt glad, but he really couldn't focus on those feelings. The pain was far greater then any Travis had ever suffered before.
Common Travis, wake up...
Travis' left eye would opened slowly, and he'd focus that icy blue eye upon Sara. It hurt to breath, he didn't know exactly how hurt he was, but he knew it was bad. Every part of his body ached. This is what he got for trying to help people once. Instead of being the asshole and blowing everyone off or causing even more trouble, Travis had tried to help and he had suffered the most horrible loss of his life. He couldn't help but feel weak. Weak in front of everyone.
"F-fuuckk."
That's all he had the energy to say. He was breathing harder then he wanted. But he couldn't help it. And every time he breathed the pain worsened. And then it came, he'd cough a few times, the final cough came with a bit of blood. He'd keep his head back against the ground and close his eyes again. He definitely wasn't in good shape. And he was feeling really tired. Soon enough he felt himself drifting into sleep.

Sitting on the sidelines was a hard enough thing, watching each of the students get their share of mayhem and chaos to spread about throughout the school. His gaze dropped on several of the students a few he knew others he paid little mind to, but they worked together despite their back grounds. It troubled him slightly seeing them come together, the teachers weren't doing their jobs, they were only making this harder but he could see their uses. Gabriel wanted their anarchy to spread, and with that chaos he wanted to seek out order.
From the ashes would spark a new life rebirth of sorts. He settled away from the crushing structures, their Qi's were incredible something he longed for the great power that his ambition and dark deeds would eventually consume. It would consume him eventually, the drive for power. The need, it fed off him and he lived for that need. Eyes glistened attaching themselves to his comrades in arms through the crumpled structure.
Stu, fighting for valor or perhaps his own sense. Gabriel didn't note the man for his sense of courtesy yet in a hidden way he showed his honor, hiding the atrocities from view. Gripping his metal limb close he recalled the events that had combined their path. A small light at the end of the tunnel perhaps, thats what held them together hope. Much like the hope that kept these students fighting against the beast that was Mr. Orange.
Sara, Strong willed and vicarious, She fought with equal if not as great vigor. He recalled their time, such an angry one lost and out of control of her emotions. He laughed slightly wiping away the shatinel that rained down on his safe little position. She would be trouble soon enough but for the time he needed her, not for her hope but for the cunning she possessed. Sara was an asset, however troublesome she may become in the future, soon enough to be an obstacle.
Trizen, the young comrade, his aspirations made him strong. Body and will made him a force to be reckoned with and while Gabriel used him as a tool now he would surely become the fate of his undoing. One of pure heart where often the cause of such demise. Gabriel's unaltered hand tapped away at the small table he was positioned at. What to do, how to get rid of him, it would be a difficult process, perhaps it be best to allow for a "mistake" to happen. Certainly would be the only way.
Cain, he saw potential in this one, strength and valor. Another one that would impede his victories, lest Gabriel could manifest that power and find way to control it. Control was the goal here, complete and utter control to attain victory. Through the weak Gabriel would find strength and in the end potential meant nothing unless one could manifest its fullest.
Natasha, he didn't see this one as a fighter, for one it wasn't necessarily the type but Gabriel was surprised. Perhaps he could find a way to add her to the mix, the many sought protection, they sought strength. Through numbers he'd make an army solely powerful and without opposition.
Dark in the end Gabriel would have to find a strength to push beyond the pillars strength because it all went beyond that. He could see a new age much like predecessors before him that saw visions of greatness. He sought them and while he could accomplish them he needed a key to let him pass through the gates of destiny. Travis was powerful that much he could see. The man had fought Matrim alone and dealt with the nuisance if only he could replicate that anger. Would he turn to his side? Time would tell soon enough.
As for Linda and Matrim, they stood in the way of progress, something that couldn't be allowed. Gabriel's bluff was on the table he wanted to see where his foes would play into it or not. His aces lie just under his sleeve faintly dangling out of sight. They waited to be played and soon enough Gabriel would have his goal. Time was ticking down and there were merely a few more turns left.
He stood from his table setting a hat atop his head. A card in his vest, number solely, and the words Control...Hope. A lie either way because it wouldn't be their control nor hope because it was Gabriel's only, he had control he had hope, and from that he held the world in his hands. As Orange would make it out Gabriel would toss the card lightly in his direction...
A sick little grin on his face, "Time to put the pieces of the puzzle together..."
(ooc: apologies for not being more into this...)

And Matrim was very happy to see that his attack worked, but sadly Trizen would definitely be hurrying. Matrim quickly ended his Qi and grabbed Thirteen, not giving her a chance to argue, "We gotta get out of here quick," He said watching Orange. If he was right there would be another slam coming. He had taken a lot of damage it looked like, but he seemed to budge from the blast. He saw through the dispersed flour after it bursted.
Sure enough he went to slam the ground once more. Matrim jumped from the second floor to the first during this time in hopes of missing the most of the shockwave. He landed hard and his legs hurt from landing on rubble but he looked around, the building was coming down. Acting quickly he would say, "Thirteen, piggy back position, quickly....." Matrim would grab Linda, hauling her over his right shoulder. He would search through debris to find Trizen and haul him over his left, and Matrim carrying the weight of three people plus his own would run out of the building.
As he ran out of the building he would keep going until he was a safe distance away from it but part of him wondered if all the students made it out ok. He would set everybody down and turn back.
"Well...... fuck....."
(OOC: Linda asked me to use this as her exit post as well. Butttt Trizen and Thirteen will post I'm assuming.)

And as if answering his silent prayer, Cain heard a voice from somewhere at Mr. Orange's direction. A voice that called for Matrim to finally execute the plan. Cain smirked, his crimson-stained teeth showing as he leaned harder against his make-shift shield. At that point, he was trapped there. If he tried to move now, he would get caught in the explosion. His only option was to wait the explosion out, as much as it was going to hurt. He brought his legs closer to himself, struggling as he did. And soon enough, he heard another call.
"FIRE IN THE HOLE!"
Cain closed his eyes, lowering his head as he prepared himself for the torture. True, the fire may not reach him, but he would not be spared from the heat of the explosion. And there it came, the loud roar of flames filling his ears as he felt a surge of heat burst from behind him, his whole body enveloping in it. He clamped his teeth shut, trying his best not to yell as the heat bit at his already aching body.
And soon enough, the flash fire would die down to a nothing, though parts of the school was now burning, including a piece of wooden plank that was now placed somewhere near Cain's right foot, burning away. Cain was too exhausted to move, the fatigue taking over Cain's control of his body, letting it simply lie there. His senses had been affected too, his vision blur and stained red by blood, like a crimson-tainted glass that stuck to his eyes. And he heard Mr. Orange's yells, though Cain was unable to make out what he was saying.
And then, what happened next was something Cain did not expect. There was a loud booming sound and before Cain knew it, he found himself flying forward, back into the lockers as the concrete floor that had vertically embedded itself onto the first floor was forced out from its position. Cain felt his whole body being squeezed once more as debris rained on him, cutting away at his body. A yelp escaped his lips as he covered his face with his arms, letting them receive most of the damage.
And soon enough, the shockwave was over, Cain letting out a deep gasp, his chest also receiving most of the forceful blast. He could not breathe. He could not focus. He could not move. And soon enough, he realised that the building around him was starting to collapse. It was not that hard to tell. Everything was falling apart, and the ground below him was shaking too. He gritted his teeth. He could not move. He could not move. He clamped his teeth tight against each other, his gums bleeding slightly now as he finally moved his hands, placing them on the ground, trembling.
Forcing himself on all fours, he glanced up as he caught sight of a blur figure carrying what seemed to be a large load on his shoulders. Whoever it was, Cain was going to use him as his set point.
Move, goddammit, move! Move! You can't die here. Not yet! Move! Move! MOVE!
With one last push, Cain threw himself on all fours, his legs pleading for mercy as Cain rushed forward, debris continuing to rain onto him as he followed behind Matrim. He blocked out everything else in his mind, focusing simply on the man that was running away too, unaware that it was Matrim. He continued running, even after he had left the building, his legs bleeding from the abuse.
And as soon as Matrim stopped and released his load, Cain would bump right into him, though the smaller man would fall to the ground first. He would lie there, his chests rising and sinking as he took deep audible breathes, his arms and legs bleeding, his face covered with blood from the cut on his forehead, his hair losing it's blue hues, turning into a shade of dark red. His body screamed, the junior laying still, his fingers twitching and trembling.
Finally, it was over. Cain could already tell where he was going to be when he woke up. He would be on the hospital bed, most of his body covered in bandages, and beside his bed would be a blonde, sitting down there with a worried look on her face. Cain grunted, looking towards Matrim, that crimson smirk showing once more as he apologised for bumping into him.
"So-So... Ree."

"MATRIM! DO IT!"
Trizen felt all time reject itself as he tightly shut his eyes and gripped himself around the big orange hulk of a man. The boy had never felt so much fear that he could actually die, but if it was to help the ones who sacrificed their own well-being and state of mind, who was he not give of himself in a way that helped everyone. He hoped his act helped everyone escape with enough notice of warning that things were going to get really hot.
"FIRE IN THE HOLE!"
Here it goes. It was now or never for the team. Trizen shut his eyes even tighter and prayed a small and simple prayer.
'God please...'
The bright and brilliance of the world suddenly came to its start and end all at once. His body felt like it had been spontaneously combusting and his ears were deaf to the noise that rang as clear as day in mid-mind. What the boy didn't know was that Mr. Orange had gotten the majority of the blast, but what Trizen also didn't know was that the blast would have tossed the pair of them a ways out of the classroom and into the hallway. Everything between the blast and his landing was a numbing experience. The only thing he could not believe, was that he was alive. Somehow. He was alive. He was breathing... barely. He felt as though he was suffocating. He felt hot. His entire body was in pain and wished to scream, but his body was shaking.
'Help... please... somebody...' the boy thought he said as his eyes opened very slowly. He himself didn't feel how he got to where he was, but the ones who were there would have seen Trizen clamped onto Mr. Orange's back with all his strength. It was on their landing that Trizen lost his ability to hold on. The boy had dislocated his left arm as he landed on his left side.
Then the boy saw the impossible. Mr. Orange got up. His pupils shrank with fear as he saw the juggernaut stand and rip off his orange jacket. It was downright unbelievable. Trizen was trembling. As much as he could not move an inch, the boy was not sure how to cope with the idea that their plan had little affect. He blamed himself. He should have brought more flour. It wasn't enough.
'Run... everyone...' No one heard him. No one. Trizen knew what would have happened when he saw Mr. Orange as frustrated as ever. When he lifted his hands, the boy knew Orange was out for revenge. He got it.
Trizen Takano felt his body lift into the air, the wind knocked out of his as his mouth opened wide and his pupils shrank smaller than any size known to true pain.
That's all he knew.
*******
*Dig-dig-dig* *Rush-rush-rush*
Someone picked him up. It was Matrim. If Trizen was conscious, he probably would not have been able to hear anything. See anything. Feel anything. The boy was broken and battered further than anything he had ever experienced. Whatever happened now would be in Matrim's hands.
((In accordance to Matrim's post.))

Praise Jeebus!
When the explosion was all good and done with, she could still hear Orange. The fat chicken was alive, but without the feathers. How lovely! At least they had done some work. Thirteen's Qi was going full bore, and she was dodging falling debris at the highest possible rate, but she couldn't keep it up forever before the area totally came down. Then it hit her, that prediction had included Matrim, and not two seconds later, she was grabbed by him.
Lucky she was so light then?
She was practically laughing as she hopped up around Matrim's shoulders and was charged out of the school. It was like riding in a car, a really fast car. And a convertible at that. This particular part wasn't revealed in her dreams simply because she'd been bored and stopped watching, but now it all made sense.
The school itself was collapsed. Ho fun.
And once again she got to say as they ran out...
"I told you so, Matrim."

Sam followed behind Tash, watching James, holding the shirts up to the stump of his arm as he was carried out into the hallway. As Tash set him down again, she unfolded her balled-up shirt, finally getting a real good look at it covered in blood, and the injury that was causing it. She ran off a few steps and unleashed the contents of her lunch into a convenient trash can nearby.
After a minute she came back, wiping her mouth and trying to pretend that the tears that were glazing her eyes didn't exist. She was shaking still, and hyperventilating slightly, from adrenaline, from pain, from fear, both for James and the rest of the students. She hoped they would all get out of this alive.
She dipped her shirt under the fountain stream as Tash had asked. "Sorella, he was muttering about a building collapse if Orange does that thing again... we can't stop for long. And with the flour bomb that Thirteen had planned..." She went to apply her dripping shirt, and realized that James had fallen unconscious. "Oh, no... oh, nonono, come on, James, non faccia questo a me…" She glanced back toward the battle zone, seeing a white dust flowing lightly through the air. "Merda!" She shouted. "Tash, let's go! They're gonna light it!" If Tash picked him up again, she'd run with her as far away from the school as they could, doing what she could to carry part of James' upper body and take some of the weight off of Tash. She gritted her teeth as she ran, doing a slight gallop to favor her injured leg. She heard the blast, and felt the earth shake. She tripped, almost falling, but managed to stay up and keep her grip on the unconscious body on her shoulder. She turned around to watch a large part of the building collapse in on itself, and it took all of her willpower to keep from breaking down.
But right now was not the time. Breaking down would only give James less of a chance. She could go into shock later. Right now, the only thing she could do was stay strong and keep moving as best she could.

Finally, she could catch her breath. God knows she needed it. She stood beside Sam and James, standing slightly bent over and bracing herself with her palms on her knees to catch her breath. Her mind is moving a mile a minute but she notices vaguely that there is a slight and painful grating sensation in her right side. Her ribs. That did not sound good. Deal with it later; you're not coughing up blood, so it's probably not fatal.
Sam's voice reached her ears and the words processed a moment later. From the tears in the other girl's eyes, her shaking hands, and the desperation in her voice, that this was a boy she knew and cared for. Tash nodded decisively and reached out, lightly brushing Sam's arm with her hand. Her husky voice is gentle but firm. Her new found sister may be traumatized but they have business to do. "You good to help me carry him, sorella? Whether or not he decides to - or can - bring the building down on our heads anymore, you're right, we've got to get him out of here. He loses anymore blood and we'll lose him. You have to lead the way. You know this campus better than I do."
Steeling herself, checking the slash on her arm to make sure it hard started clotting, Tash bent to help Sam pick up the unconscious young man whom Sam had called James.
"Alright mister. We're going to get you out of here, alright? We're going to make sure you pull through. You can do it - don't try and tell me you're not a fighter." She murmurs, her tone not harsh, but strong and reassuring; that tough love Italian mama kicking in. This young man's unnecessary suffering nearly brought her to tears with anger and sadness. He hadn't deserved this.
"Let's get him to the back parking lot. There's a grass area out in back and shade. And my car is there, if we need to get him to the hospital we can get him there...I know it's on the other side of campus but it's our best bet."
She shoulders the rest of his weight, getting a firm hold on his legs and they make their way at an awkward and painful but not altogether slow shuffle. The sound of crackling flames faded behind them as they cleared the battlezone section of classrooms and made their way across the quad.
And then the ground rolled and pitched beneath their feet like a spooking horse. She stumbled, almost dropping to one knee, widening her stance as a knee jerk reaction and gritting her teeth trying to hold James steady – which ended up crushing his leg against her hurt ribs. That knocked the breath out of her as she gasped with pain, little sparkles of white light bursting in her vision for a second. But she didn’t drop him and she stayed on her feet. Her head snapped around, watching with disbelief as a huge chunk of the building rippled, shuttered, groaned like a dying beast and then collapsed. Sweet mother of God, there were kids still in that building! Some would have had the foresight to get free of the already unstable structure, but there had to be some caught in the rubble. The three of them had been lucky that they left when they did. Her insides, face, hands, feet were numb: they felt like they’d been stuffed with goose down. The world was a Dali painting and everything she saw was happening to someone else. There would be no break downs, no calls for any quarter till she knew both of her companions were in good hands. Tash was an easy going girl: she hated drama. But she’d become a part of this whether she liked it or not and she was going to do what she needed to do. Forget how much you hated the situation, fuck meltdowns, just do it. She kept carrying James, following Sam. She wasn’t about to let them down. They needed her.
