She listened to his proposal, not letting one word slip by her. It was hard with this guy. Was he being serious, or was he gonna screw her over?
-or-
Was the bastard just looking for a lone just to start off a business that would be useless to her?
She could always just ask Demetri's idea on the subject, but knowing him, it was a no. This guy was very picky, and he was able to take care of himself, so he wouldn't need a guy like Adrian. Though, Mischa was here by herself, due to the fact her target has gone and left. She can always comply and just...forget to tell Demetri. After all, to pay for only fifteen employees wouldn't be a big chunk from her own pocket. It would be her own little investment. Also, paying for fifteen employees is below minimal damage, so if he did fuck her over, his life would just as easily cover it.
Mischa put down her gun and pulled a wallet from her pocket. She opened it up and fingered through all her credit cards, and found one... not like any of the other ones were different, but this one was for business.
"I'm interested..." she slapped the card on the table in front of him, "This card has no limit, and use what you find necessary to pay for your employees. Remember, also, that the bill is still sent to me and if you have gone and purchased something without my permission; expect a hit on you that would be personally brought out by me." she smiled, holding her hand, "I'm Mischa Badoer, you will be working for me until you start picking things up... after all, bosses are the ones that give you you're salary... if you can comply with all my orders... then you have yourself a deal."

The girl agreed, fishing out a limitless credit-card and slapping it on the table before him. He didn't reach for it, not yet, even though she had expressed her interest, she never actually said to take the card. Adrian knew many of the secrets of business combat, and not taking the card immediately would show her that he wasn't desperate. His eyes never left hers as she introduced herself, holding out a hand, which Adrian casually accepted and held in a simple handshake, less firm than he would have likely used with another man, but no less businesslike.
She explained the last bit of her deal, that until he got set up, he would be working for her. Adrian nodded as the two released each other's hands.
Work for her, huh? Wonder if I'll be flipping pizzas or taking out contracts, he thought sardonically. Working for some kind of illegal operator hadn't exactly been in Adrian's plans, but, the boy knew an opportunity when he saw one.
"Alright, I like where this is headed, but before I agree to this, I wanna know just a little bit more; flesh out the terms, so to speak." He didn't know if Mischa was just unused to this type of dealing or if she was being intentionally vague, hoping Adrian would leap into something she could mold. He suspected the latter. "Question one, is my working for you going to be what pays off the debts I owe you from this card? Or are you still expecting a monetary return down the line?"
Adrian's eyebrows rose a bit, letting the question hang. He wasn't stupid, when you dealt with the mob, you had to know where you stood.
"And question two: When you say 'work for you', what exactly are you insinuating? Maybe I'm not okay with the kinds of work you want to put me through."
Adrian paused and leaned back, his gaze flicking back down to that card. It was just like his old card, from before. It had been a long time since he'd held one in his hand, and nostalgia was threatening to overtake him. Instead, he decided to assuage himself by converting his gaze to the beautiful, dangerous woman sitting across from him.

She listened to his rant about her not being too specific. She sat with her legs crossed and her tongue flicked her upper teeth once again in thought. Mischa shifted her weight, and crossed her legs the other direction and leaned her elbow on the table with her chin rested in her hand.
Her eyes observed how he stared at the card, he was hungry for the money. Who wouldn't be dying to get their hands on a limitless card.. especially when it was right in front of them.
Her index pressed on the plastic as her eyes watched his staring back at her.
"You work for me and we live it at that. You shook my hand, and I'm supplying you with cash. That should be enough to win you over." with her finger she dragged the card closer to herself, "Unless you don't need lil' ol' me and my small amounts of cash to help you out...?" her voice put on a very girly pout voice. It was how she would manipulate him. "I won't mind if you don't need me.."
Her foot reached out and rubbed the side of his calf, a smile stretching across her face, "Though it would be a shame... I was looking forward to....working... with you." a breathy laugh followed after, "I always needed a business partner." she gave him a little wink, before returning her foot to where it was prior to playing footsies with him.

So Mischa decided to continue playing hardball. Her finger went to the card, and Adrian knew she caught his glance. She was making her own power play, because, in her mind, she had the cash, so she had the upper hand. In reality, she did, indeed, but Adrian knew it was time for a change of plan. In a battle of wits, there were two approaches to win: One could either defeat one's opponent in plain sight, or one could simply indulge one's opponent and let them believe in their own victory.
She turned to more sultry tactics, looking to hook him with her looks and acts, playing the 'bad girl', so to speak. Adrian's eyebrows rose as he took in the girl, and a light grin crossed his face as he leg rubbed his thigh as she spoke.
"Well," he began, trying his hardest not to grin despite himself, and failing somewhat. All the better if she thought he was grinning because of her actions, and not because he was trying not to laugh out loud at them. Before he met Kate, Adrian had been a bona fide lady killer. He was a sucker for women, sure, but one rarely spends his time manipulating girls and would allow one to do the same to him.
However, there was always a first time for everything.
"Let's not be too hasty, then," Adrian said, sitting forward and holding his hands up in mock-surrender. "You said you were interested, and I can't say I didn't know what I was getting into when I came here. Besides," he said with a wry smirk. "It's not like I mind getting my hands.... dirty."
He paused intentionally before delivering the last word, throwing it out with a sly wink at the girl across him. Mischa probably thought she had him hooked, and all the better for her. The more control she thought she had over him, the looser her hold on him would be. Let her think he would melt into her and be her little pet. If it was good for business, it was good for him.
"So, I suppose that means we have a deal, then, Ms. Badoer," he said, shrugging symbolically with his hands. "Now, with that said and done, what comes next?"

He was reacting nicely to her tactics. She needed him to be wrapped around her little finger. She would drop her "boss" title once he paid his debt and is able to pay for his own God damned employees. She would just like to have the upper hand for a bit.
"It's a deal then?"
"So, I suppose that means we have a deal, then, Ms. Badoer,"
She smiled at there agreement.
"Now, with that said and done, what comes next?"
A sly smile came to play and she stood from the seat. "Celebrate our business tie? I have champagne or wine up stairs in my loft? I have a jacuzzi as well... its good to relax in and enjoy a bubbley?"
(can't think of much.... XD)

Hm. Mischa's suggestion was more than alright to the youngest Hanlon, indeed. He looked down at his soda and pizza, thought about it a moment, and shrugged.
"I hear the best way to celebrate a business agreement AND finish off a pizza is with jacuzzi's and champagne, Ms. Badoer," he said with a little grin. Maybe working for this girl wouldn't be so bad after all. Adrian couldn't tell for sure, but he thought she might be into him, as well. That would make things a lot easier in the long run. Unless, of course, he had to break ties with her in the future. That would make things much, much harder.
Adrian pushed his chair back and stood, awaiting for Mischa to do the same. When she had, Adrian would come across the table and push the chair back in for her. Now just behind her, he would whisper in her ear over her shoulder. "Lead the way, my dear."

Adrian went and pushed in her chair that was positioned behind her. As soon as he did this she felt his breath against her ear as he whispered to her for directions. Still smiling, she began to walk into the restaurant. "Right this way Mr.Hanlon." she walked up the stairs and through a door that was left open. Beyond the door well was her loft. One of many homes she owns, but only her second one in this city. She would have expected him to follow, and if he did, she would turn and face him. "I'm... going to get into a bathing suit. I have some swimming trunks still unused for the consumption of my father when he comes up from Venice.. If you so wish?" If he agreed she would go into the spare room and fetch him a pair of black swimming trunks and throw it on the bed. "They are on the bed you can get changed here."She left the spare room and went into her own. She dressed into a Red bathing suit. Once she was ready she left the room and went to the patio with the jacuzzi and took off the top.

As Mischa led the way, Adrian followed at a safe distance behind, but not without slipping the credit card into his pocket, unseen by the girl. Deal or no deal, he didn't want her to get the power of seeing him accept the offer, and the thought made him smirk.
She led him into a room, and produced a pair of swim trunks, mentioning that they were intended for her father. Adrian grinned, and shrugged in acquiescence.
"Well, alright, if you don't mind me wearing daddy's swimwear," he laughed, and awaited her leave before he quickly slipped into the water garments. From the window, he saw her, clad in a classy red suit, move to the jacuzzi, and so he followed, exiting the room and entering the jacuzzi area himself. As she removed the hot tub's cover, Adrian looked down at the bubbling water and smiled.
"It's certainly been a long time since I've taken a dip in one of these," he said, musing more to himself out loud than anything. He looked up at the girl and grinned. "You look fantastic."

Turning to the sound of Adrian's voice with a smile she started to walk into the loft once again. "Thank you. As do you." Before she disappeared in the loft she looked back to Adrian. "You can get yourself in the water while I get us something to drink."
Mischa then left and went to the fridge that was specifically for her fine wines, champagne, and other alcoholic beverages. She picked out her favorite champagne and grabbed two glasses out of the armoire. The bottle's neck was in one hand and the two glasses in the other. Mischa left to the patio and stepped up the few stairs she had that lead into the jacuzzi.
"Relaxed?" she said with a smile, before sinking into the water slowly. She sat next to him, and had her body facing him, and even had her leg brush against his. Handing him the two glasses, she aimed the champagne bottle another direction and popped it open.
Carefully, but with ease, she poured the liquid into the cups and set the bottle in a bucket she had near the jacuzzi.
She held her glass up towards Adrian and a sweet smile spread upon her lips. "A toast.. to celebrate our business arrangement."

Adrian lowered himself into the water at the girl's request, feeling the warmth instantly loosen his muscles, and he began to feel much more relaxed. This was indeed a drastic change from only moments before, when the girl had been pointing a gun in his direction, but Adrian knew his charmer mentality would get him through, one way or the other. He leaned back and closed his eyes as he smiled satisfactorily.
About this time, Mischa had come back with the champagne, and upon seeing him leaning back as he was, thought to ask with a little smile: "Relaxed?"
"I'll be more so when you're in here with me, but yes, yes I am," Adrian said, his smile widening some, not bothering to open his eyes for the moment. The girl slid herself into the water, sitting next to Adrian, her leg brushing against his. The feeling of her skin against his brought his eyes open slowly, and he looked back at the girl's exquisite Italian features and accepted the proffered glasses. She popped the champagne top and Adrian held out the glasses to be filled. As she did so, Adrian handed her the one he had decided would be hers, and she took it, offering it forward for a toast.
"A toast.. to celebrate our business arrangement."
Adrian grinned, and raised his own glass in a similar fashion.
"To us," he said, unable to resist a sly wink in her direction. "And to 500 posts our sustained mutual interest in each other." It was just as suggestive a toast as Adrian intended it to be, but it served its purpose. The toast completed, Adrian took a sip of the crisp champagne. It went down easy, like any good brand should.
A slight chuckle escaped the lips of the Hanlon boy. With this, his empire was secured. He knew he was strong enough and smart enough to succeed, all he needed was the monetary boost. And, to that end, working for Mischa was simple work. Child's play, really. It wasn't like he hadn't gotten his hands dirty ever before.
