(OOC: Just a note, since Ryuu's strike did land on the back of Trizen's elbow, it wasn't suppose to hurt, it was suppose to shut down movement in his arm, just to let you know.)
Ryuu just sighed at Trizen's comment. And here comes the subject of three. Again. He was never going to let that subject die was he? Ryuu had absolutely no idea what he did to make Trizen jealous of him, which only added to Ryuu's confusion, but he would worry about that later. "Did you come here to fight, or did you come here to talk?" Ryuu asked quietly, his expression calm, as the flames continued to burn. The flames were not meant to intimidate, or even entertain. Ryuu had a reason for doing it in the first place, but all would fall into place soon enough. At least Trizen managed to evade the flame circle, but that barely scratched the surface of Ryuu's Qi. Ryuu however, would not use it in this fight, not unless he absolutely had to. And if Trizen wanted to attack Ryuu, he would have to either go around the flame circle, or go through it. And Ryuu highly doubted Trizen wanted to do either one. Nobody wanted to be well-done, that's for sure. Ryuu had control over his Qi, but Trizen didn't know exactly what Ryuu could do, only what element he could control.
Ryuu had to hand it to Trizen, the strike he landed was good, Ryuu didn't manage to counter against it. But his strike did manage to land on target, Trizen's elbow, so they were even, in terms of blows landed on each other. He saw through the flames, the dark outline of Trizen's body move a bit back. Ryuu couldn't help but smile slightly inside, though his expression was still calm and cool. Since the flame circle had been created through his Qi, Ryuu could control it, but only in when he wanted to deactivate the flames. Beyond that, he couldn't control if the fire were to spread to the lines painted on the ground. But considering how high the flames were, only about a foot high, that was more than likely not going to happen. His hands by his side, loosely clenched, Ryuu took the opportunity to focus, and breathe, as he closed his eyes. Focus, to clear his mind and allow himself to be ready for any attack, and breathe, to prepare his body to be able to react and keep up with his mind.
If Trizen wanted to fight, he would have to come to Ryuu, Ryuu wasn't going to rush into this fight. His eyes snapping open, Ryuu strafed backwards, away from the flame circle. The oxygen flowing in from the open doors, only served to fuel the fire, keep it burning without Ryuu having to do anything at all. If Trizen had been hoping to enrage Ryuu with his comment, he had failed, because Ryuu basically ignored it, and just continued to focus on the fight. Holding his hands out in front, palms flat, Ryuu lifted his right hand up, and gave Trizen the universal gesture for "Bring it on."

Tash looked over at Break, who had just made his way over to her and grinned at him. Another familiar face to brighten her mood. She extended her hand to him, offering him the joint.
"I got no idea. But I feel like I'm in ancient Rome. Gladiators, blood thirsty audience, and a vengeful goddess!"

Break took the little roll and drew from it. Awesome, he came here for a little smoke, now he was getting a show, some friends, and a toke. Not bad. he held the smoke in for a little, savoring the taste, the texture, before letting it out. He loved how thick it was compared to a cigarette. He handed it back. "Nice, that would be cool, where are the lightning bolts from zeus, or the tigers...and lions! RELEASE THE LIONS" he shouted the last bit out with a royal air, as though he where a roman emperor. He laughed and smiled at her, his deep blue eyes meeting her jade ones.
on the field the action hadn't slowed down, these two kids where really good. In the back of his mind Break began taking notes of what they where good at, and all the rest.

((Twice? Interesting... Tis a good thing Em is moderating. Let's see where this goes...))
Trizen had on his famous grin. Ryuu was a junior, two years older than himself and had the friends, style and unusually large amount of popularity most at PHS 42 craved for. If anything, Trizen had come to use this as his own means of understanding his opponent: Subconscious Perfection. It was his unwritten quest and pride for the search of it that allowed for Trizen to play the mind games he knew he could play. However, Ryuu was also pretty predictable. Trizen knew he wouldn't fall for the obvious trap: The talk of Emily. But that didn't mean Ryuu wasn't thinking about it...
"Actually, both." The fifteen year old replied on slowly putting his hand to his right arm. His eyes showed a bit of fear. The observant would notice Trizen trying to move his right arm. It wasn't moving much at all, it was like a Gameboy that was losing its AA battery power (don't tell me you guys don't remember that).
"This is an assignment. But I take this as something much more, Ryuu. You must understand the importance of this..." Trizen was still holding his right, he winced as he tried moving it. Not working. Instead of walking clockwise around the circle of flames, Trizen decided to go the other way. It would take him much longer to reach his opponent, but looker could see it was a tactical mistake.
"You don't seem to notice anything that happens around you. Sure, you might think you do, but you're not considerate of anyone's feelings. Anyone's emotions except if they directly interfere with yours." The young one kept his strong walk. His legs were dead afterall, his just right arm. "You have too much pride. Do you really believe that you could just swoop in and become her blanket of security? That you're strong enough to protect her? You're wrong, Ryuu."
By this time, Trizen and Ryuu were standing side by side. Not in arm's reach, but they were a step or two apart. Trizen's right side was lined up with Ryuu's right side. An incapacitated Trizen against Ryuu's every and common used side. Interesting.
"If you really believe you're worth her. You will show me. No stance or show will prove that you are strong enough to be her protection." Not that she needed it. But the implications were still there. "Don't believe that your silence will prove as an answer. It only proves what I'm telling you... you're not tough enough."
Taking a strong turn to his right, Trizen's left knee went airborne with a bit of a hop. It was another style Trizen had learned in his travels. Muay Thai. Young Takano would take to strike the back of Ryuu's head with his closed left fist and incoming left knee.

Ryuu kept silent throughout Trizen's entire speech, noting that Trizen saw this fight as something more, something extremely important to him. His eyes followed Trizen as he moved, choosing to go counter-clockwise around the flame circle, which would take him longer to reach Ryuu. A tactical mistake on his part. Ryuu just sighed at Trizen's words, now he was taking this fight personally. Too personally. By this time, Ryuu and Trizen were standing side by side, as Ryuu stood sideways in his stance, his right side lined up with Trizen's right side. His gaze focused on Trizen, as he looked at him from the corner of his eye. "I don't recall ever claiming outright that I would be her security blanket. I did promise I would protect her when I could, but she needs not my protection. You and I both know she is an extremely capable girl, who can look out for herself." Ryuu replied softly but calmly. Worthy of her? Just what was Trizen talking about? "I don't know what you're talking about Trizen, showing you, but you are right about one thing, I am not strong enough, not yet at least."
Ryuu's expression continued to stay calm, despite Trizen's words. "But I am getting stronger, and I will not give up or in. I don't know what I did to make you so hostile towards me, but I won't let this deter me from what I've been doing all this time." Seeing Trizen surge forward, his left knee raised with a bit of a hop, Ryuu would leap forward, straight into the ring of fire, deactivating it just before he touched it, as the flames died out. Falling forward over the dying flames, Ryuu would somersault as he hit the middle of the circle, as he began to spring up into a standing position, he made the flame appear on the tip of his finger again. As he landed in a crouching position just outside the outer edge of the ring, he would light the circle once more, before surging forward just as the flames sprung up once more. "So yeah, I'm not tough enough, but it's not to say I'm not going to try my hardest to get stronger. The moment you give up, is the moment you lose."
Trizen's emotions, both towards Ryuu and Emily, while they differed, would they prove to help him, or hinder him? Only time would tell...

They were there again. When Trizen landed on both feet, his left hand immediately clutched his right arm. Ryuu had also said a speech. It was a good one too. Though he hoped there would have been some retaliation involved. As much as Trizen wanted to hold a smirk, he didn't allow himself to. Ryuu was certainly a mind to mess with. Holding composure meant there would be a time and some before breaking. Trizen was curious to know how long and by what means Ryuu would snap on the boy.
"Why didn't you counter?" He tilted his head to the right, and by this time, Trizen was standing by the edge of the ring, opposite to his opponent. "Are you going to keep dodging everything I'm throwing at you?" Questions included.
The boy knew what to think of Ryuu, though not everything was meant to be said right away. Only the things that were in the air. His questions and intentions were one of them.
"Remember, I called you out. You made the choice to come here. You wanted to fight. So c'mon, Hikari Ryuu. Though let's make one thing clear." The boy grinned his famous grin. "I don't give up."

Ryuu just lifted both his hands up, and cracked his knuckles while rolling his shoulders, loosening himself up. "Because I don't like wasting my energy," Ryuu simply said, smirking slightly, as he let out a bark-like laugh, "And what does it matter to you if I dodge everything, including your questions? Why is it so important to you if I look out for her, or think I'm worthy of her?" Ryuu retorted, sounding almost bored-like. "Yeah, you called me out, and I chose to come here of my own free will. And while I did want to fight, I will give this fight everything I got. At least we have one thing in common, we both don't give up. But instead of just a fight, I end up having to play 21 questions on top of it. So answer me this, Takano Trizen," Ryuu began, as he shoved his hands casually into his jeans pockets, "Who is Emily to you?"
Ryuu frowned slightly, as he continued. "Why are you jealous of me, and what did I do, to invoke the jealousy in the first place? Is it because of the simple fact that I'm really close friends with Emily? You've known her longer than I have, I only met her when all the transfer students arrived here." Given though, he and Emily had been spending a lot of time with each other lately, but he doubted Trizen knew that. Ryuu was calm, frighteningly calm almost. Trizen was trying to mess with his mind, hoping to provoke a retaliation. Instead, what he got, was 21 questions sent flying back at him. Ryuu was always very level-headed, and strategic. He could keep his cool under extreme situations, just like his father. Trizen would be very hard pressed to find a subject that would make Ryuu snap. And if he did manage to make Ryuu go berserk, well, the consequences wouldn't be pretty, that's for sure. "Emily is extremely important to me. Not just as my superior in Militia, but as a really close friend."

Trizen watched Ryuu from the other side. Nothing really out of the ordinary happened here. It was predictable, but at least his plan was working. As much as Ryuu was a calm, level-headed dude, he was still pretty predictable. This was the part where Trizen probably hadn't been listening to what the Hikari boy was saying, though probably looking for a way around the fire without burning himself. He was just bothered with walking all the way around the fire again, though he knew stepping inside the fire put would be a trap considering everything.
But what the heck.
Instead of answering Ryuu's question, he figured he would show him. The flames were about a foot high, Trizen made his leap over the fire to land inside the ring. Now if Ryuu was truly a young man of his senses, he would step inside to fight. Unless Trizen knew otherwise, which he did, though he was ready for whatever consequence. He was "disabled" after all.
"Did you come here to fight, or did you come here to talk?" Trizen tossed back in mocking the first set of words Ryuu had told him. Taking his left hand off his right arm, Trizen lifted his left hand up, and gave Ryuu the universal gesture for "Bring it on."

Ryuu sighed quietly once more, as he moved his hands from his jeans pockets to the pockets of his jacket. It was pretty obvious that Trizen hadn't listened to a single word Ryuu said. And instead of answering Ryuu’s questions, Ryuu saw Trizen leap over the flames into the middle of the flame ring. Either Trizen had gone insane, or he wanted Ryuu to step into the flame ring, to continue their fight. And Ryuu knew as well as anyone else that Trizen was not insane, stubborn yes, but insane? Not in this lifetime. Ryuu had to stop himself from smirking; Trizen had mocked the first set of words Ryuu had said in this fight, as he bowed his head slightly, his front hair hiding his eyes. He saw from the top of his vision, Trizen take his left hand off his right arm, the arm that Ryuu had disabled, and took a page out of Ryuu's book, giving him the universal gesture for “Bring it on.”
“...Fool...” Ryuu muttered under his breath, his eyes hidden in shadows, as he whipped his hands out of his jacket pockets, and getting down on one knee, engulfed his hands in flames. He then placed both his hands flat on the outline of the painted ring, because the flame ring was made from his own Qi, it wouldn't his burn hands. Adding more fuel to the fire, the height of the flame ring increased, now at 3 feet, about up to Ryuu's waist. Straightening up, he took a few steps back, away from the flame ring, his hands still engulfed in flames. Fire generated not only flames, but smoke as well. Stay in it too long, and your lungs will be filled with smoke. And considering that Ryuu had increased the height of the flames, and creating a lot more smoke, unless Trizen had bailed out beforehand, his lungs would slowly be filled with smoke.
Trizen may be stronger and faster, but through this, Ryuu would let the smoke do the work for him. Ryuu was now a good enough distance away that the smoke wouldn't affect him, all he could smell was the smoke. He then went back into the stance he had done at the beginning of the fight, except his hands were closer to his chest.

Tash chuckled as she watched the two young men sparring. They were putting on quite a show. This had definitely been worth staying on campus for. Even though she still wasn't sure what they were fighting over, thing seemed to be heating up. She found she didn't really care why they were fighting: a strange little part of her enjoyed watching the combat. Just for the raw thrill of it, the suspense, the action. At first she felt guilty, but after some thought, that feeling faded: it was no crime to be able to appreciate a little bit of violence. Or maybe it was: but it was a crime that was practiced by the majority of the human race and for centuries. It was a pretty forgivable little sin, she thought wryly as she tuned back in for Break's response. It brought a laugh.
"Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!" She chuckled, and took a slow drag. The purpose of the duel still eluded her. "Wonder what this is all about anyway..."

Something felt wrong. Ryuu was just standing there. He looked a bit like an emo kid with his hair in front of his face and hands in his pocket. Trizen stood in his regular sort of defensive stance only to make an eye widening expression to show his surprise.
Ryuu muttered a word. One that was pretty insulting, but on hearing it put so bluntly. Trizen knew it was a trap, but not like this. When Ryuu's Qi was activated and engaged the flames, the boy's expression looked as though he was as white as a ghost. It was terrible. It was hot. And worst of all, there was no way out.
The boy was coughing almost ridiculously. His stance stumbling as his feet began to stagger. There was no way out of it. Trizen used his left hand to move his armband over his right palm, then used his thigh to pull his left armband over his left hand. He was still coughing, and struggled to reach the fan in his sash. He pulled it out with his left hand and began to fan himself. It was really, really hot. Not to mention he was still coughing furious.
"Damn... it..." Trizen said as he dropped to one knee. He was disoriented. He was breathing heavy. One large breath in and out after another. Then he was on both knees. His eyes peered at Ryuu as his left hand tried to keep fanning.
Then to his unfortunate end, Trizen fell on forward onto the side of his face. His eyes closed, his left hand was stretched out only centimeters away from the fan, which was centimeters away from the flames.

Ryuu continued to stay in his stance, his eyes concentrating on Trizen's figure inside the ring, the smoke had done the job for him. Fire needs oxygen to continue burning, and with the flame ring surrounding Trizen, his oxygen supply was dwindling as time passed on. Human beings need oxygen to live, that's a given fact, why do you think people who are trapped in a burning building need to escape so quickly? The fire was stealing away Trizen's air supply, and Ryuu knew that, that's why he had placed his flame engulfed hands directly on the painted ring, adding to the flame ring already surrounding Trizen. He could hear Trizen coughing as he stumbled around the flame ring, before taking his fan and began to fan himself with it, but that wasn't going to help him all that much honestly, it was just too hot inside the ring.
Ryuu straightened up as he saw Trizen's figure fall onto one knee, then on both his knees as he continued to try and fan himself, his oxygen had run out. It was over. Ryuu deactivated his Qi, the flames that had been surrounding Trizen died down and disappeared, as the flames surrounding his hands dissipated, as he shoved his hands into his jacket pockets once more. He saw Trizen had fallen unconscious, now lying on the side of his face, his left hand stretched out, a few centimeters away from the fan, which was a few centimeters away from the burnt outline of the flame ring. Ryuu turned his gaze to face Emily, as he looked at her, waiting for her to speak and give her verdict.

Emily leaned forward on her chair before standing up, looking amongst the massive smoke. There was no way she could moderate this match like this, and at this rate - this was going to be a rather dangerous. Emily couldn't see a thing, though she could feel that it was quite hot.
Man, was she going to get it for organizing this in the first place. "Ryuu!" She said, coughing out a bit. "Check if Trizen is still breathing!"
Well, she would stop this fight now if it was endangering the life of the both of them. Emily wasn't able to listen much to the conversations Ryuu and Trizen were doing as she was at quite a distance.
Emily didn't know if she should call it done or not - after all, she knew Trizen would fight much better than this. He probably had some ace up his sleeve.
-- that is what Emily hoped it was, and that he was not suffocating.

Ryuu nodded in acknowledgment, before pulling out his own fan and opened it, as he began to fan the smoke away while walking over to Trizen. As soon as he reached the unconscious Trizen, he bent down, and checked his pulse, on the side of his neck. "... He's still breathing," Ryuu called out quietly, as he straightened up and took a couple steps back, once again beginning to fan away as much of the smoke as he could, "He's unconscious though. But if my hunch is correct, and it usually is, he may be suffering from severe smoke inhalation and oxygen deprivation." Once he had fanned much of the smoke away, he closed his fan and placed it back on his belt.
"I'd suggest we take Trizen to see Dr. Clavering right away." Ryuu then folded his arms across his chest, looking down at Trizen. You idiot, if you hadn't leaped into the flame ring, my trap wouldn't have worked. Were you so eager to defeat and upstage me out of jealousy and prove something to Emily, that you would jump head-first into a trap that was so obvious? Ryuu looked up and over at Emily once more, as he let his arms hang loosely by his side. "It's your call Emily. If you ask me, I don't think Trizen can fight anymore, not with his lungs filled with so much smoke. And if he can, this fight will not go on for much longer."

"I dunno" Break admitted, his one hand scratching his chin. He wasn't curious in the first place, and he sadly hadn't really been paying attention when they first said the reason. it was a curious question, break looked to emily, considering walking over to ask when suddenly the smoke cleared and there was a victor (hahaha). Victor looked upon the scene, slightly amused, slightly dissapointed, he wanted to see it go on longer. "well, looks like thats done with... wanna go hang out somewhere?" he asked boredly to tash, his neck rolling his head lazily in her direction.
